  • @JoMaKRM Thank you. Unfortunately I can't find this prelude. Could you tell me which is it's BWV number?

  • Where is the rest of the toccata and fugue shown here?

  • @jonflatmo This excerpt on YouTube is taken from our DVD trilogy and licensed from the film "Karl Richter and his Munich Bach Choir ", a production of German ZDF 1967/68.

It looks like, that the whole concert is not anymore available for sales ... and has been "cleaned out"

  • @JoMaKRM What about uploading his work?

  • @jonflatmo We don't have the original production from ZDF and had only the license for some cutting from Friedrich Müller production (1968)

  • @JoMaKRM What are those works at 3:46 and 4:21?

  • This is just wonderful! I wish more Richter DVDs were available.. I would love to see the rest of the Toccata & Fuge in D Minor shown here. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Could you tell me if his Ottobeurren recordings are available on DVD?

  • The recording is not on sale, sorry.

  • YOu should buy the dvd serie "The legacy of Karl Richter". There are a lot of organ recordings, also in Ottobeuren on it.

Und sehr schön zum schauen auch!

  • Danke feetje,

Unfortunately I have no money for it now.. but thanks for pointing it out.

  • At 3:46 shows a student playing. But this does not reflect the real situation of a

student that took instruction in Munich...

  • Thank you for your comment. You're right, the teaching of Karl Richter was not always like this and often group instructions. Elmar Schloter talks about this in his interview, published in our book "Karl Richter in Muenchen". But in between there were also those individual lessons, which for a film sequence is of course much more interesting!

  • Excellent video! First time I've heard him speak and such passion. Thanks to advisorC for sharing this.

  • Danke

  • Check with your library. All 4 DVDs from this Trilogy 'Karl Richter in Munich' have an English audio track translated by Maureen Aldenhoff

  • To hear this mans voice is simply amazing. If only I could understand him.

  • Pick das Deutsch dictionary und lernen.

mehr und mehr .... more and more

  • First of all. If I had the time to learn it would be great, second.. you can't learn to speak German fluently and properly by just using a dictionary.
