He was speeding. Wayy too fast. Notice right at the start of the video he's flying into view, and comes out of that turn too wide (which causes him to scrape the median, thus resulting in him hydroplaning)

German automobiles are crashed tested at high speeds & are made to full rigidity at high speed crashes! Of course because they are allowed to go that fast! But that's why I prefer to go w/ German brands cause I know I'm safe at those speeds!

@cux70 youve obiously not had a blowout on a rear tyre if you look close you can actually see it go. also you can tell by the very sharp change of direction. hes not driving too fast at all

@theincrediblespen Looks to me that he was going quite a bit faster than the cars in front of him judging by how fast he hit that wall. My guess is near or well over 100mph. Which would explain why the tyre blew out.

Propably guy had realised that he was going to the rails and he turned the wheel so fast but in the high speed + propably left wheels on grass made him to drift and he couldnt get it back.

I do like that other motorists pulled off to help the guy - the first three cars to reach him all pulled over to the side. In the states, I'd be surprised if the passing drivers didn't flip him the bird for getting in the way!!!

That is the removable hard top. It is made of aluminum. There is an automatic roll bar that pops us when the car detects that it more than some preset factor of horizontal at speed. Essentially that was a convertible with a lightweight top in that accident.
