  • wow this is great just great

  • Never saw THAT cover for Madness! Friggin' COOL! While we're on the subject of obscure MacAlpine stuff, does anyone know of the movie where he portrayed Wes Montgomery?

  • @ricaard It was on a movie called "Crazy". Steve Vai played Hank Williams in that, too.

  • @irvan36mm Thanks!

  • @irvan36mm

    no plz..

  • @ricaard Hey bro, I uploaded a clip from the film to my channel. Check it out.

  • @macalpinetony That was in-friggin-CREDIBLE!! Thank you so much! Now I gotta see the whole movie! Now, if we could get to see you do a film portraying Andre Watts doing some Liszt, we'd be in heaven! Or better yet, a concert of your own with Chopin pieces! Happy Holidays to you, man!

  • Tony jest niesamowity

  • I have an identical white Washburn MG90 to the one Tony is playing here. So awesome to see a video of him when he played this guitar!!!

  • Wow this is beautiful playing, amazing discovery : )

  • sounds as if they played togrther for years

  • awesome!

  • The great thing about this, is that even when he's shredding, he sounds so clean and soulful. Guy has great feeling; Leno, on the other hand, as usual, comes up with his childish, stupid antics in the last segment. He should have shown the real cover to Madness, I mean, that was the main reason Tony was on the show, promoting his new record!!! Anyway, gotta thank NBC for giving T-Mac a chance on live primetime TV.

  • @xfernan22 What?? Soulful while playing fast at the SAME TIME?! NOT POSSIBLE!!!

  • Even if I had a million years I couldn't play like this.

  • The thing that really made me crazy about Branford being the band leader is that Leno basically ran out on him when the network brass started complaining that the band wasn't playing mainstream enough music. Totally gutless on Jay's part. I mean, Crikey, this is Branford Marsalis. one of the best jazz saxophone players ever and they wanted him to basically be Kenny G. What a joke that was.

  • Tony's tone reminds me a little of Frank Gambale's old tone.

  • Awesome!! Jay Leno, woohoo.

  • Dream come true! I've been searching all over the net for this video, and here it is. The Man Himself on top form!!!

  • Amazing jazz chops.

  • Thanks for sharing! Great to listen to early in the AM.

  • I hope Planet X come back together. As far as i saw Derek is on tour with Grenn Hughes and i have no idea what Virgil is doing.

  • @AtanasovPetar Virgil and Tony play together in Tony's new band, Seven the Hardway. That band also has Mark Boals on vocals.

  • @AtanasovPetar Tony said in a recent interview that a new Planet cd is in the works. Anyway, Tony is going to be on Sherinians new solo record.

  • @rmsolympic1 Great to hear that. Thanks for the info.

  • Glad you found that from the past.

  • pretty sweet stuff

    thanks for sharing!!

  • Amazing - as always!!

  • Great man what a nice tone, I would like to know more about that gear for sure.

  • Very cool

  • This is awesome! Thanks for uploading this!

  • Fantastic Tony! Great playing as always!
