Just thought you should know that there was no such thing as a Council of Valencia in 1229. You probably learned that 1st or 2nd hand from a book that came out in the 80s which later had to retract the statements regarding this council as its sources were proven to be false. Also, Valencia was under Muslim rule at this time so such a council was impossible.

Secondly, What 'written gospel?' Well... How about Luke? Paul Quotes Luke's gospel account in 1 Tim 5:18 (quoting Luke 10:7). And Mark was completed before 55 A.D. (DSS 7Q4 - 7Q10 and 7Q15). Sooo.... yeah, Paul had a written gospel at his disposal.

why dont you prove that Catholics do follow the scripture and ONLY the scripture...there are countless books that show proof... all you have to do is read the bible and see if your church follows it.
here are some pointers:
1. how many mediators between God and men, do we have? (1 Tim2:5)
2. all have sinned, does that include Mary too?
3. some people tried to worship Peter (Acts 10;25) what did Peter say?
4. some people tried to worhip Paul & Silas (Acts 14:8-15) what did Paul say?

It wasn't Catholic and a man named Calvin, who protestants follow played a big part in having a man named Servetus burned at the stake. Luther had nearly 100,000 peasants slaughtered. The Catholic church was put in place by the romans to control the population of the earth at the time. sometime around the 1700's the pope and tha papal system banished the true bible and martyred (killed) the true Christians and anyone who read or had a copy of the bible. They instituted pagan traditions into their religion passing them off as "christian" so the decieved people would worship their false gods insead of the true Jesus.

The bible was around for some time but it was not in a book as we have it today. The Bible was Banned from the world (the Roman world at that time) by the Council of Valencia in 1229 A.D. William Tindale Translated the bible into English and smuggled it into England and the king of England recieved. 4 years later, King Henry the 8th ordered the bible be brought to every pulpit in the British Isles.

In fact, the bible was around before Jesus' time, but only from Genesis up to Malachi. When in Matthew 21:42 Jesus says "have you not read the scriptures?" he is speaking about the old testament, the bible they had at that time.

Just thought you should know that there was no such thing as a Council of Valencia in 1229. You probably learned that 1st or 2nd hand from a book that came out in the 80s which later had to retract the statements regarding this council as its sources were proven to be false. Also, Valencia was under Muslim rule at this time so such a council was impossible.
You are sort of right -- many Bibles have been banned, but only because they were considered inaccurate translations.

The jesus christ, mary and pictures of other "saints" you see with the halo around them is actually gods and godesses of the Pagan cult. NOWHERE in the bible does it say jesus or anyone were illuminated with halo's, NOWHERE does it say to pray to mary, because she is a mere woman who bore Jesus. but the catholic church perverted the ritual.
you do not give the offering up of the bread to the lord as the priests do, or drink from the same cup.
Pagans offer up little cakes to their god and the catholic church repeated this tradition but said they offer it up to "Christ Jesus" which is false because nowhere in the bible does it say you must do this. the only way you don't have Christ in you is if you don't have the HOLY ghost in you, not the communion.

Yes yes, those are the scriptures speaking of the communion, but NOWHERE does it say to raise the bread to God, NOWHERE does it say you MUST take the communion to have the God in you. Re-read Luke 22:19 and hilight where it says "DO THIS IS REMEMBERANCE OF ME" and tell me where you are able to find where it says that you MUST take the communion to have God in you. also, read John 3:3.

A wise person tests and questions everything they are told, and does not believe in just hear say or whatever is told to them. how do we know 1+1 equals 2? not just because your teacher tells you, but because we TEST that if you add one thing with another it equals two things. Isa 54 & 64, Ps 50 & 68, 2 Pet 3:10, 2 Thes 1 8-9, 2:8-9 describe Yeshua's once appearing. Matt 3:12, 13:37-40 plainly say the fan is the angels and they reap and ARE with him. couple the other verses and You see the world ends when the "harvest" us occures. there cannot be a Third appearence of him as the one time the planet will incinerate when he appears as per scriptures. Mike is way off base and is unwilling to own that and repent, sad but true. .

The rapture will coincide with Christ's second coming. There is no third coming as the pre-trib rapturists falsely interpret 2 Thes 4:17 to say. That is a 19th century theory of John Darby that gained popularity recently with the left behind series that appeals to men because they don't want to endure tribulation and trust in God to protect them through it.

Funny. The Lutheran Church that started the reformatoin, which is the root of all these protestant denominations is voting on whether to allow gay marriage this week. The gates of hell have prevailed against Lutheranism and no protestant denomination has any protection, quite clearly. Yet Catholicism has not changed on this and other issues of morality.

Another nice theory. Some say Constantine started it. Some say it started after the second council of nicea, still others say it started in the 11th century. But if you are really and honestly will to examine the evidence and read the Church Fathers before Nicea, the Catholic Church was clearly in existence back to Christ. The protestants have a gap to fill that they keep trying to make up fanciful histories to cover.

Okay this guy is right up till he brings in Paul Crouch, Van Impe, and Pat Robertson. These guys want to unite Catholics and Protestants under the gospel of Jesus Christ and the word of God, nothing else. I watch TBN a lot and Paul Crouch. everytime I see him he's preaching that Christ is the only way to salvation along with Van Impe, and Pat Robertson. If Mike Gendron and others who criticize these men actually watched their shows, than they would know that they preach the gospel of Christ.

It is so. I always hear people out before I make a judgement. My conclusion: Humans are tribal, they naturally form groups & compete with each other. This supports the evolutionary theory, as all things in nature compete. We are no different, in that aspect. "Us against THEM" is so prevalent everywhere, we obviously evolved. I don't mind observing it, but somehow all you religious folks think you got some divine connection that nobody else has. What a bunch of assholes- You make my POINT !!!

gblueslover2, it is not just 'us' who have a spiritual connection God, every human being has it... but that connection was severed a long time ago, because of sin. Like a virus or worm in a pc, which shuts blocks its connection to internet. So we need an 'antivirus', Jesus was our 'antivirus' and cleared up all of mankind's sin and reconnected us back to God. So those who still have 'viruses' / sin can be cleansed of it if they just download Jesus into thier heartdrives. a one stop solution :)
