can't be 5,00m; the top end of the pole is slightly above the bar, about 10-15 centimenters would be my estimate; assuming he uses a 5m pole (which I doubt to be honest) and if you subtract the height of the box (about 20cm), that would make it 4,65-4,70. Or 4,55-4,60 respectively, assuming he's using a 4,9m pole, which is more realistic imho, given the MASSIVE clearance on that attempt.

Also, at the very end it sounds like the announcer says something about "Addy", which probably means Jangy Addy who went out at 14'9 / 4.50

That couldnt of been too high because his pole is about the same height, if not higher than the bar. If that was his 5.10 jump, that means he would be on a 5.20+ pole and I seriously doubt he's on that.

Talk about improvement though! Does anyone know that he was a 12 something vaulter last year? He's the real deal.

12 feet isnt that great for the olynpics...it's pretty good for high school tho.

Can't say for sure - it was very early in the competition, probably his 5.00 jump.
