  • oh, that voice!

...like carnation milk being poured onto a lamiinex table top.... (thanks, mike carlton)

  • @mgr001 Yes, she's got a unique voice! It heals you well.

  • Great final shot. I see this vid and I wanna give the whole country a big fucking hug. I live you Aotearoa.

  • @Klaaarke Thank you very much for your comment! Yes, your country has got a lot of lovely scenery!! Great!

  • God's own country !!

I didn't say that. But a Kiwi mate did about NZ when we worked together at Barrow-in-Furness England in the 70s. Looking at those photos, who the hell am I to doubt his words. I desperately need the Maori words of this song, I can hum the tune, just the words are missing.....matt.

  • @macvatu Please enjoy the SOUND of this song. Come here and talk about NZ with your Kiwi mate!

  • They have Lake Tekapo in there but They missed out Lake Taupo :( I dont get it.

  • @taumarunui05 Sorry, it was impossible to show all of NZ scenery in such a short time.

  • I would like to spend some time with my mate on her birthday.

The Kiwi International Hotel is at 411 Queen Street and there is a supermarket at 330 Queen Street. There is a Foodtown supermarket at 76 Quay Street which is not far from Queen Street.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Small info. That Foodtown was changed to Countdown.

  • @nzmo

Well it is good to know Countdown isn't too far away. There is a small supermarket about 2 doors down from The Oaks Residences (now iStay Residences) where I stayed at when I was in Auckland that weekend in October 2009.

I love Auckland City at night as it looks so beautiful lit up.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Please have a safe and happy trip in AKL!

  • @nzmo

I will have a good time in the City Of Sails. I'm going there on my own like I did the last time I went there.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Good luck on you!

  • @nzmo

    Thank you.

It's been years since the last time I went to Rainbow's End. It will have changed so much over the years.

It will be good to have another trip into West Auckland and to again visit Rainbow's End , but it will also be good to do things I've not done before.

  • I used to be on a Shortland Street fansite. Some of the forum people and I arranged to have a big meet up at Auckland Zoo. One person couldn't attend the meetup, but I still got to meet her because after the meetup, three carloads of us called in at her workplace when we went on the West Auckland/North Shore tour. This is the friend who's 30th birthday is the main reason why I'm going up to Auckland in November.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 I see. I caught you now. There was a story like that, weren't there? Please celebrate the friend splendidly!

  • What I want to do in Auckland:

    Harbour Cruise.

    Trip to Devonport.

    Devonport Explorer Tour.

    Waiheke Explorer Tour.

    Rainbow's End.

    Whale and Dolphin Safari.

    Trip into West Auckland.

Plus have a couple of days to spend with friends.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Wow. There are lots of things you want to do, aren't there? I don't think that just a few days stay in AKL are not enough time for you!!

  • @nzmo

Yes that is a lot I want to do, plus I would also like to go up the Sky Tower.

But I will skip Kelly Tarlton's and the Zoo as I went there during the weekend I was in Auckland in October 2009.

I want to go up to Auckland on the 10th of November and stay till the 18th.

I am pleased I've not chosen September/October as the time to go because it will be Rugby World Cup season and I would have trouble finding accommodation, plus the hotels will increase their rates while the cup is on.

  • @nzmo

Though I was told by the hotel I will be staying at that they will put their rates back to the regular price in November when the cup has finished.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Yes, what you think is a very nice judge, I think. Then a weather is almost stable around Nov. I'm convinced that you will enjoy AKL!

  • @nzmo

The weather is one of the reasons why I've chosen November as the time to go and another reason is that it will be Daylight Saving. A mate's 30th birthday is the main reason why I want to go in November.

I want to stay at the Kiwi International Hotel as they're located in Queen Street which is ideal for me as I like to be near shops. They have Single Ensuite rooms for $85 a night.

I'm not bothered with MOTAT as that's boring.

Auckland is my favourite place in New Zealand.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Staying in the city is a good choice although the hotel is a little bit far away from a supermarket like Countdown in the city. I like AKL too!

  • I'm going to Auckland for a few days in November as there's things I want to do that I didn't get to do when I was there for a weekend in October 2 years ago.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 I hope that you can do what you want to do in AKL. Then enjoy a nice food!

  • Oh yes I love New Zealand and the Kiwi way of life. I'll always call New Zealand home.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 I see. You really like this easy-going life!

  • New Zealand is indeed a beautiful country and I am proud that I live here.

  • @BlondieGirl2000 Yes, you are a lucky person because you live in such a beautiful country! Thanks.

  • Thanks nzmo...you brought tears to my eyes..but another visit may never happen..this shoot goes a long way to keeping memories ALIVE...love you allxx

  • @MJamieson77 If my photos give you happy tears, I'm really happy. Do not give up for coming to NZ! It will become true if so. Thank you.

  • Listening to this brings tears to my eyes...I have been twice to NZ in my wheelchair and would like to go again!! If one is thinking of such a trip....GO!! To hear the Maori live sends a tingle down ones spine...its awsome!!!! Love to all in NZ.

  • @MJamieson77 Hayley Westenra lives in UK now and sometimes has a concert. So please go to see it so that her voice reminds you of New Zealand. Then please come to NZ when you have an opportunity! Thanks.

  • Absolutely spectacular pics

  • @robskez Thank you very much for you comment! I hope that you felt something of NZ through them.

  • Hahaha the first picture on this video is where I'm from, about 15mins down from there! =)

  • @robskez Really? This place is a very good one for a photo shoot! I want to go there again.

  • 12 months to go . Dec 2011 we fly to Australia ( Sydney ) for 1 week and then board a cruise ship to NZ taking in Tazmania on the way .On cruise ships , it,s only a whistle stop tour i know , but better to be there or never at all . We will stay at least 2 nights in Auckland and i am looking for suggestions on where to stay and what to see , before , with very heavy heart , fly back via Dubai to Scotland

  • @only1barneyrubble OK, I'll give you just a place name where you may enjoy. Please check the names in a travel guide book by yourself. In Auckland, One Tree Hill, Mt. Eden, Mission Bay, Takapuna area, Parnell for a shopping, Sky Tower, Devonport, North Head and so on. If you have a car, Muriwai Beach, Piha Beach. I hope that you will have a nice trip in Auckland!

  • We live in the best place in the world, " KIWI " and proud of it

  • @mooman285 Yes, you Kiwi people are very lucky about it! Hope that people in the world will visit here at least once in a life time.

  • Thank you so much for this video. Right now I am crying because this song is so beautiful. Thank you. Go Kiwis!

  • @theslytherinroze Yes, this is a beautiful song. Listen to it with this beautiful voice! Thank you for your comment.

  • A beautiful song from the most beautiful country in the world. Auckland was described by Kipling as "last, loneliest, loveliest, exquisite, apart". Just imagine what the rest of the country is like.

It really is God's Own Country.

  • @AUC753 Yes, her voice matches the scenery of NZ very much! I think you are a lucky person who lives in such a country!!

Someday, I want to make it!

  • I hate how New Zealand has this stupid rivalry.

I live in a small community among maori and pakeha, we get along, because we are all the same. Its what the nation should do

  • That's really nice!

I hope everyone can live like that.

    Someday soon...

  • Hmmm, I don't know the reason why you left this comment.

    I'm very sad...

  • nzmo it is a little sad and such an undeserved comment to such a fine video! I imagine this is yet another dickhead who does not know the Treaty of Waitangi or simply does not respect it as we do. Our nations in peace, by means of a treaty. I realise the other ex Brit "colonies" aren't like that. Do you, apiaway?

  • Thank you for your comment!

I can't say anything about a political and historical thing.

I just showed the scenery of NZ with the beautiful voice.

I hope everyone enjoyed this video.

  • Hi nzmo. Great photos great choice of music and song. You should be an ambassador or something. Just imagine if your video brought at least one tourist here. I think that would be a pretty amazing feeling eh. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for your comment!

But I'm so embarrassed when I read it. haha.

What you said is one of my dreams.

I don't think I can be an ambassador or something.

But I want to be something like that!

Then you should proud that you have such a beautiful singer Hayley!!

  • Hi, Appletrai,

Oh, The students came from NZ, didn't you?

The school is in Takapuna of North Shore, where is near Auckland in North Island.

Takapuna is a very good place to live!

Yes, Kiwi (New Zealander) people sing the song whenever they do it.

I think this song is the second national anthem??!! haha

You should come here to have a lot of amazing experience!

  • Thank you!

You are coming to NZ, aren't you?

    That's great!

I hope you will enjoy here!!

  • beautiful.

    5 stars

  • Thanks!

  • Is NZ mostly open space or are there busy cities? It looks beautiful.

  • I can say it is mostly open space.

The big cities are Auckland, Wellington (capital city), Christchurch and some. Just 4 million people are in NZ.

Even these cities are smaller than the ones in your country!

I don't know where you live, but I think so.

  • It's both. Some places are big cities, some is just forest. I live next to Aukland, On the north Island, And Aukland Is a big city.

  • I wish I could visit these nice places.

I will someday, driving a car listening to Hayley's songs.

Anyway, thank for for the post again.

  • Thank you for your comment again!

Yes, you should visit here to know what Hayley's felt and how she grew up here!!

  • Proudy to be a New Zealander.

She will be a great singer in the future!!

  • Hi nzmo

Thanks again for sharing your photos with Hayleys music, very nice and five stars!!

I'm just curious but given that you live in NZ have you ever had the opportunity to meet Hayley or watch her sing live?

  • Thank you for watching it quickly, slebkuecher!

    Yes, I live in NZ.

Then I have watched her concert and met herself for many times!

I can't say the details here though...

So please send a message if you are interested in it.

    Thanks!

  • Nice pictures!
