please get back to me because there is this guy that might sell his it needs a lot of work buti want to put my time and effort in it and i would like to drop a V8 in it i want to know if it would fit
@Pintac87 Thanks for the kind words! . . . as an FYI, though, I sold it to a true Lotus nut shortly after this video was made, and it is kept in the kind of environment where it should stay looking new for a long time to come. :) . . . and of course I felt remorse, so I replaced it with another red one, lol! :D
Hey neat! There were only six orange Federal S1's? Mine was originally orange, too. BTW if this one is dead stock, *beware*. That plastic fuel tee was a disaster in 1977, 33 years of exposure to gas fumes and the plasticizer leaching out and it's going to break if you look at it funny. If there is any plan to run it, for God's sake go get a metal fuel tee or this one will suffer the fate of many others, i.e. an engine fire. Believe me - I know the hard way.
ill take the white one.haha.

i would drive the white one around in an original 70's nylon safari suit with a medallion...keeping things nice and original.

Beautiful car! Any idea the name of the dealership the Lotus was purchased new from back in the day?
Sunbeam65 2 years ago
It was sold new at the Lotus-Jensen dealer in Medina, Ohio. I believe it was called International Imports, or something to that effect. :)
