  • @jkadvices pfff 900 TBps per nanosecond, my calculator can do 1 Peta-bits per Milliseconds :]

  • @IAmNotAJew2 Umm... LOL... Do you know that jkadvices' number ("900 Tbps") is already 900,000 times larger than what you just said? ("1peta bits / second"). If you gonna make a geek joke, you'd better know your units. LOL

  • @steelmilkjug I just notice I put milliseconds, I meant to say nanoseconds but I saw the post thinking it was mili......... i know dyslexic

  • in singapore, we already have optical fibre internet of up to 1000mbps

  • I'm loving the screen saver.

  • so what? are they going to be as cheap as the korean companies? cheap ass telecommunication giants.

  • @maxten hey they may be cheap but when you can download a 10 movies in 3 seconds they must not be as cheap as the U.S.

  • @colton523B my mistake, i actually meant greedy US phone giants. but by cheap, i mean they're so cheap, they dont want to bother upgrading. as for verizon's fios, they want double or more of the money.

  • @maxten well koreans have low salary thats why in korea u will see low prices at everything,if u make comparison of american salary and koreans salary u will see that americans have higher salary than most countrys so they will ahve higher prices at any kind of products. Its how economy works for each country depending at the salary of the people.

  • just visit korea and u will see what is really speed

  • @dingumfCallofDuty

Why do you say that? Are they not equal humans as you and me?

  • Just like Wall-E, Google is like B&R.

  • Pssh! Google step up your game. A 75 year old swede has a 40 Gbps connection! Her name is Sigbritt Löthberg is you don't believe. And she could get 100 Gbps!

  • @eeddii22 I was just gonna say that..

  • Most of the commenters here who are addressing the "1 Gbps = 1000 Mbps" are incorrect. 1 Gbps is indeed equal to 1000 Mbps. The memory chips in your computer use binary which uses powers of 2, in which case 1 GB (2^30 bytes) is equal to 1024 MB (2^20 bytes). Bitrate (the Gbps/Mbps we're discussing) is not bound to using powers of 2, so instead they use powers of 10 which is the preferred standard by naming organizations. Look it up if you don't believe me.

  • he rounded it down to all the normal people

you nerds, got outside or somthin

  • what's with the screensaver ?

  • is it 1024mbps down and up ?

  • 1 GB holllllly SHIT

  • wrong, 1gb = 1024mbps.

  • @Psychenzo thats still shit fast!

  • @903harman i meant, 1gb means 1024 MB

download speed should be about 130MBPS, you need to calculate alot of stuff to know it correctly >.<

  • dammit google forget the us! come to canada dammit!!

  • yah its cool, but you get stupidly high ping on us....

i wold rather wave a 12MB-1MB network with 10ping then have 1GB one and have like 100 ping cause im a gamer...

  • @tiagom135 fail! your ping would not exists!

  • @903harman wave you been in my contrye?

  • We have like 5gb Internet packages with some companys here in Canada

  • @1Justeel LOL like who? i get crappy 2.50 mbps connection which i have to share with a bunch of primitive apes :( , that kind of stuff may exist in canada but not for a reasonable price :(

  • Yeah Google is a good company. They really care about innovation. This sounds really interesting.

  • im hoping philadelphia or newyork what you guys think?

  • @fatguy1121

o come on... 128 MB/s on a single computer is not enough? its not good for people? the people won't get something good out of that?

    IDIOT.

you can't even have that as of today.

  • @jensinx

Actually you fucking idiot I was relating the fact that a gigabit is different from a gigabyte, and they do have internet that fast on verison fios and time warner business class internet you fucking idiot. Wipe the shit out of your eyes and read what I was saying. Fucking asshole.

  • Look having a 125 Megabyte per second connec may sound insane, and its great for torrenting, oh fuck it I'll let idiots be idiots. fuck you all, thos numbers really don't translate to shit in real world application

  • where the facking LInk

  • google is takeing over tv also

  • yeah government controlled internet stupid black bitch i read this a year ago how it is only government owned just submit like this guy

  • HAHAHAHhhhahahha this guys got an apple

  • /watch?v=e6MK_lUh6u8

S.Korea already had it.. this video is 3 years old and it's BASIC internet speed.

  • no 1gigabit in canada?

  • GOOGLE FTW! fuck YAHOO!

  • OMFG!

  • Android is free? No HTC and the rest pay to use it.

Your P bay people? You are stupid

  • @TheOnlyDuST if your computer connection says that its 100mb/s your not actually using 100mb/s your using about 54mb/s unless you live next to the isp provider which i highly doubt it.

  • I wish they would have this at my house :( since my citys internet service 1gbps service stops 3 miles up the road from me :(

    Google FTW! :D i want a google tshirt :D

  • are you kiding me ig = 1024 mb of connexion that's ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaziiiiing this change your life when you get this connexion you need to buy a new hdd with 1t = 1024 go because your hdd will be full in one day i am sure for exemple 12 seconds to download gta 4

  • @SAMY2690 would have to buy a faster harddrive actually o.0 get a kick ass raid ssd system with maybe 3 or 4 disk and that would probably barely keep up XD Ive been planning upgradeing my home network to gigabit since 100mbps is starting to seem slow :/

  • when are they gonna do this?

  • they should have an iphone app

  • So what if, the website you are downloading from, can't upload to you this fast? What if you have this, but no one else does, so you are only as fast as what you are connected to, is that how it would work?

  • We are still here;)

  • google internet going to have ads just for using them

  • South Korea and parts of China had fiber optic cables for YEARS, you guys can't even get 3G internet right and Chinese telecoms already offer 4G internet access...

  • liar its not china but japan & south korea rofl

  • @fuUuckCCP I live in Hong Kong and I download from Apple's website at over 10 MB/sec... It took me less than 4 minutes to download the latest iPhone SDK, can you top that from Canada?

  • Japan offer 100g in tokyo

  • @zhongguohua88 sweden has that to, we have been using fiber internet for many years, and we also have a 4G 100mbit/s mobile broadband

  • Damn, Google's taking over.

  • but what I wonder is....why they doin is? Cause america is some capitolistic people and this would be 100X faster than the best dsl or cable by other companies for less cost? wtf these shady companies pissed and moaned about 100 mbps for years and just now are getting there....... Maybe Google really is the government just like alex jones believes they are...

  • Australian internet compared to the slowest american internet now looks like dial up

  • Google will take over whole the world! As such as microsoft, Yahoo, (These are small things) :D

  • Google is taking over the world.

  • Google's gonna become the next Skynet! Just wait and see

  • I really don't trust Google but that's fucking insane.

  • 1 Gigabit is insane...

At this rate, google will take over other companies services.

  • 1000MBPS is what the speed is refering to if u are confused. You divide that by 8 and that would be the average downloading speed you see on the screen. That is pretty darn fast if you were to download large movie files, etc.

  • I hope we see speeds like that out here. One downside to living in the mountains around a bunch of farm land is horrible internet. Highspeed isn't available in alot of places out here which I think is nuts.

  • Lol soldier this video triggered one of my videos to be a related video... and my views just shot up :P thanks....

PS: I cant wait for 1gbps to be standard for us all :)

  • i want that internet

  • Google is taking over.

  • @xxAO2012xx think thats called a monopoly which...is illegal wonder how long they are gonna get away with making everything

  • @maxflamehead Firstly The government uses some of googles servies/products. Secondly Google already stated in there first video about this they they would be sharing this with other companies :). Thirdly Our internet speed especially upload speed is outdated and sucks horribly. Internet speed is the majoring thing that is bogging us down right now dealing with servers, games, and other things. Lastly google scares me because of they deal with governements a decent amount.

  • @maxflamehead as long as they keep things cheap and dont turn around and jack prices way up i think alot of us dont care lol besides other ISP will try to compete. Not many will be able to keep up tho. I exspect comcast and verizon (and maybe some other smaller isps such as cox) to be the only ones able to compete and even then they would barely get buy since google is so big. Like a giant coming through and wipeing out small ppl it would be easy for google to take them out if it wanted to

  • @xxAO2012xx Sybernet much??

  • @xxAO2012xx and we looe it

  • We get 20 megs of fiber optical internet for free because my dad works at VTCI witch is a telephone and internet company in texas

  • Hell yea it will make internet cheaper, more competitors in the internet business the better for us as prices will drop.

  • peace out A town

  • Americans sound so amazed over 1gbit/s full duplex, its quite regular actually, 100/100 is standard, fiber is cheapest, LAN slightly more expensive and ADSL most expensive.

In countries with good infrastructure old tech costs most...

  • @str8forthakill

Yes, we "Americans" tend to get easily excited over the little things in life.

  • Singapore is building 1Gbps connections which is part of their next generation broadband efforts. So everyone in Singapore will have access to those speads.. possibly this year or next.. well sometime before 2012 I believe. Singapore isn't that big though.. other asian countries are doing similier things, like hong kong, japan, south korea.

  • I think this is great news for those delivering content but as far as us end users, HOLLY SHIT MAN! What are going to do with that speed haha

My internet already delivers faster than my browser,.

  • @devineRO often 1gb is refered to as 1000mb, on ur xbox or ps3 if it is 40gb that is 40,000mb if u read small print that is what google are saying, the correct one is 1024 mb to 1gb

  • @greeny151 you are also wrong, internet speed is calculated using gigabits and megabits, not gigabytes.

  • Comment removed

  • dont be a dick

    he is obviously rounding down

  • I have 50mb and im in the UK. I don't really think there's any need for more than that

  • @TazZerT the UK will have 200Mbps internet by 2012.. but there is a need for it. Yeah sure what we currently do can be done faster and more people can be on the internet at one time in the same household but there is also new application which arnt currently possible without faster connections. So no matter how fast our internet connections get they'll be new applications and use cases that will take advantage of that extra bandwidth.

  • Don't you mean UP TO 50mb? marketing spin uk has been getting away with for years now. 50 is the maximum it doesn't mean you've got that speed.

  • jesus, google does everything

  • how does soldier know best?

  • here in the uk we have only up to 20mbps and i think 50mbps is coming soon....but korea already has 1gbps and have had it for years and probably by now has alot more

  • Xfinity (formaly comcast) is about to have 100mbps and they are calling it the worlds fastest, so untrue

  • man, 1 Gbps that would be amazing.

  • do u live in holland if u were u had sen it iam working on school so i know what inet speed they got only schools companies can get them dotn trust me look on internet dutch providers

  • +1

Unless the fiber runs into your home/apartment, chances are it'll be throttled in a couple ways.

  • Damn shame the US is always the last to get up on the technology game. I mean damn in the UK you can get the Iphone at the damn grocery store

  • @ksha what does the iphone have anything to do with this lol and y would they have iphones in grocery stores anyway

  • smh @ you acting as if you have 2 brain cells. Used it as an example that other countries are more up on technology than here in the US.

  • @ksha not really just counties like japan korea and china mainly i dont think the uk is that much a head on technology if ahead at all

  • Douche

  • I was wondering is anti-virus worth paying for?

The system is they do not do much and in time some are trying to earn more money out the people by upgrading the system etc. People are just keeping on giving/creating more bill does thins thing has its limit?

  • It won't matter unless you have fiber optic going straight into your computer. Only as fast as the weakest link.

  • i need this. lol.

  • TPB ftw

  • 1 gigabit is only 128 megabytes so you go at 128 megabytes per second transfer speed not 1 gigabyte. 8 bits = 1 byte. typically bits are used to refer to transfer speed and bytes for just data space. 1 gigabyte per second would be absurd and even 128 megabytes per second seems to be as well (at least for now)

  • you do know that most hard drives can't even manage 100 megabytes a second

  • so...?

  • @anonymous345 exactly, they cant, but they sure as hell can manage 100 megabits a second

  • this is great, fuckin greedy isp's now brag about their shitty ass 25mb... when this is 1gb!

  • lol my bad comcast xfinity has only 100mbps lol

  • Google isn't creating their own ISP? Just a network. They are going to allow existing ISPs to use the network

  • TO ALL THE IDIOTS WHO SAY THIS...

    "FAIL! 1gb=1024mbps!!!"

    No,

    1GBps = 1,024 Mbps

    But

    1 Gbps = 1,000 Mbps

There's a difference between Gigabit and Gigabyte... Gigabyte is storage space, a Gigabit is transfer speeds...

  • 8 bits = 1 byte so it's 1,024 / 8 = 128 megabytes/second. byte and bit arent matters of storage space and transfer speeds, theyre just different amounts of data whether its storage space or transfer speed.

  • comcast is also comin out with Xfinity,, 1000mbps

  • Great I can already see googles ISP.

    NO swearing.

    No downloading copywrited material

If your a partner you get free internet or paid to use the internet.

Unwanted Changes to forced upon its users.

  • keep using the shitty monopoly isp we have now then retard

  • Portugal has 1 Gbps for almost a year now. Yeah it's insane
