@curlies06: I know, it is a shame but 99% of the time, the models take the nails off. The nails we feature on the cover are often far more artistic than wearable. Sometimes, the nail tech will remove the nails and keep the tips for their own collection, but I'm sorry to say they're usually filed/soaked off at the end of the shoot. :( Fortunately we have photos of them to be kept alive for long after the removal!

It's amazing work, but what do you do with the nails when the shoot is done? Does the model keep them or does she soak them off? It'd be a shame for such hard work to be destroyed so fast afterwards.
