  • Dislikebar barley exists! Just Awesome.

  • in the refrain solo mark has a better sound than eric.. but the main solo is healing

  • How is it even possible for someone to dislike this video?

  • Elton John is on the keyboard..

  • @hombrealadoo You are right! and apparently "Feather in your Hat" had recently been released. haha.

  • clapton is god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And people call him "Slowhand"?

  • @Hlotar yeaaah, because he doesn't need fast solos to make people's ears melt down of pleasure ;D

  • @Hlotar I know what you mean! Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always figured it came about cos he has that beautiful slow, controlled vibrato where lots of guys have fast little manic ones, rather than an overall comment on his playing, cos he can whip it when he wants!

  • anyone who likes to here a great guitar solo check out peter greens.{ ive got a good mind to give up living } its just awesome

  • Nathan East! Needs way more recognition for his talents

  • I feel so sorry for the kids today who have the likes of Bieber and Co shoved down their throats ( must come close to child abuse ) and will shuffle off this mortal coil happy in the knowledge that I have lived in the decades that produced the musical genius that we enjoyed in the 60s - 80s - too numerous to mention but Clapton and Knopfler are but two of them.

  • Why don't they just rename this video...."Jesus & His Disciples, LIVE in Concert".

  • Back when music was good.

  • What a nice surprise! Joyful Eric Clapton and very serious Mark in Layla together. For the first time see Mark jumping on the stage! I think Layla is driving him crasy. Very good version, singing of Mister Clapton is stratospheric! Thank you Pavelpolska!

  • This is a nice vid'!

  • Eric Clapton reminds me on Chuck Norris

    I don't know why

  • sutin brilliant with this song and how does he do that with those fingers? :)

  • @rrrajiv1234567890

the only thing that is increased in the video is not the speed. It Is the size of clapton´s suit

  • Eric Clapton = Don Johnson + Chuck Norris + God

  • kralj

  • I'm sorry, but i just can't resist. 26 people had an ex named Layla...there, I said it, happy?

  • @jhdoubleoseven 27 but this one thumbd up ;)

  • Knopfler is great. But he's only there because Skydog died much too young.

  • @stantonman420 gtfo. knofler is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. and hes there bc hes always been close friends with clapton and they toured alot back in the day and were in the same band at one point, so no

  • @rrrajiv1234567890

No it's not u moron....Don't you hear his voice..or the guitar...they are in the normal pitch even. It's a famous video retard. You can find it other places as well

  • the song starts Bb C D fast or slow, sitting here playing along, btw have played it on stage with half of his band as well

  • @rrrajiv1234567890

It's merely a typical 80's way of speeding music up

  • @pavelpolska This isn't that fast. It's about the speed of the original Layla. I don't hear speed so much as I hear SOUL!

  • @rrrajiv1234567890 yes we all think you are very stoopid

  • @rrrajiv1234567890

In concert you speed always xD

  • @rrrajiv1234567890 >wenn man keine ahnung hat, einfach mal die fresse halten< fällt mir dazu nur ein. super version von layla

  • @rrrajiv1234567890 No only you

  • @rrrajiv1234567890 Yes, of course, everyone knows that Eric Clapton's voice sounds exactly the same even if you speed it up or slow it down digitally...

  • @LordAzai: Thanks. That's exactly what I mean. I like unplugged version better because it doesn't have the piano solo comes along hehe.

  • I like this but the original is the best IMO

  • this is my favorite version of Layla song. Sounds amazing and very powerful :)

  • elton john toca el piano?? 1.18

  • like to see eric and mark collaborate again soon !!

  • Clapton is God

  • I like Layla better without the piano part. I don't know why but I just hate that part so much.

  • Comment removed

  • @LakeOfFireN I know what you mean; I don't hate it, but it just sounds like a different song. Fading from the solo would be the best :)

  • This is ok, but i prefer the normal version... this feels...... un claptony...... it wasnt written or played this fast for a reason i believe... prefer the orig... just my opinion

  • @davidigleniec this is actually the original version of layla, back on his Derek & the Dominoes days...

  • You know you have sucseed when Mark Knofler play the second guitar in your band

  • @ImagineHowItIs

    so true

  • It would be nearly illegal to have 2 great guitar gods like Knopfler & Clapton on the same stage!! This would be my favourite version of this song, the drum work is easily the best of any version I have heard.

  • i love barry gibb.

  • Yes, that is Knopfler. OMFG! What a concert that must have been. God and Buddha on the stage at the same time. :-D

  • OMG!!! there's Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) on lead guitar, or am I so blind/drunk/stupid/sounddeaf?

  • i honestly prefer other versions, the guitar sound is a bit to reverb-ish

    epic song though

  • this is brilliant but the main harmonized guitar during the instrumental lick does sound like it could be part of a 1980's hospital drama theme tune

  • Hey stop comparing God to Eric Clapton... i mean, hes good, but hes no Eric Clapton

  • @clapla You sir, just made my day!

  • @clapla Hey stop putting that comment but chaning artist... Its not fun and old as hell =)

  • @zaddenasdfg u mad bro?

  • @clapla U tryin to troll? =)

  • @zaddenasdfg no, i just thought you were mad for no reason

  • @clapla Very original comment sir.

  • @Mr123LACEUP U mad?

  • @clapla CLAPTON IS GOD

  • I am stunned...... I wouldn't have expected either of them to play this song like that let alone both agreeing

  • With Mark Knopfler! Awesome

  • Very good! If I see correctly, on the solo guitar - Mark Knopfler and keyboard - Alan Clark?

  • oh yeah! great eric clapton!...

  • Eric and elton should make a band!

  • Solo was meh.

And its a bit too fast. Sounds rushed. Like he is late home or something. "Oh crap, look at the time. Ok, Layla double time. GO!"

  • This man is the consummate Rock God: He's a sublime guitarist, amazing songwriter, and hell of a singer!

  • This man is the consummate Rock God: He's a sublime guitarist, amazing songwriter, and hell of a singer!

  • This man is the consummate Rock God: He's a sublime guitarist, amazing songwriter, and hell of a singer!

  • guitar virtuoz ........ERIC

  • elton john , mark knopfler ,ray cooper , phill collins!!!!

  • @germansomohano

This is how you know how amazing Clapton is that the best of the best choose to play with him

  • @germansomohano yeah, i thought i saw them there for some shots, but wasn't entirely sure...

  • si elton esta en los teclados!!!!!!!!

  • Sir Elton John on Keyboards!!! Anyone saw him?

  • @gonzalobocchi yes ;)

  • al ye kids thinking faster is better aaargh,

  • Excellent. Clapton at his best

  • Yeah Eric and Mark !!! I'll bet no one noticed Phil Collins playing drums:)

  • Isn't this one of the greatest gitar riffs ever?

  • like to see Eric so happy while playing the solo at the end

  • DUbSTep iS SEx FO' yo EArs trolol.... no... this songs guitar is sex for the ear

  • Listens to Marks guitar, Jesus Christ!!! I might need a tissue. Man-size. oO

  • is that elton john on key boards?

  • @vm24seven365

    sure is!

  • @vm24seven365 - sure looks like him

  • It's not 'sped up.'

Listen to his voice, he is singing at the usual speed, just the guitar is quicker.

  • It cracks me up that people are saying this is sped up. This is the original way this song was recorded. LOL.

  • (Chuck Norris + God) x 10 = Eric Clapton/2

  • @AmigoFiell so that would be (Chuck Norris + God) x 20 = Eric Clapton

  • @TexasJ47 no i think i made a mistake, it's like this: God + ((Chuck Norris + God) x 0) = Eric Clapton

  • @AmigoFiell NO, it is (Chuck Norris+God)x 100305923895642389567893512347645123578631278q+david gilmour=clapton

  • @AmigoFiell no you fool... "Clapton is GODD".

  • Chuck Norris x 2 = Eric Clapton

  • This is a good version of this song, played the way it should be, ON FIRE!!!! Duane would crack a smile.

  • best song in history of forever

  • i smell cocaine

  • Fucking moron played the video at 1.2x speed :D

  • how has this only got less that 700'000 views? Fantastic version

  • @robblindsay

Because that annoying Fred guy stole more than his 15 minute of fame quota.

  • @robblindsay Cuz it's sped up! It's played at 1.2-1.5 x's faster than what it really is! Hate when people claim to have a "RARE" or ehm fast version of a song! It kills the song!

  • This is one of the best performances by Eric Clapton!

  • Miami Vice Eric :)

  • He is going Chuck Norris speed , is that Chuck or Eric, hard to tell.

  • My favorite song evar

  • And by his side, none less than the divine Mark knopfler. O.O

  • cocaine makes layla fast

  • Enter Text Here.

  • when you hear so emotion in guitar, you just know that's Mark Knopfler!!

  • this song makes me proud to be called Layla :D

  • This is the best version, because Mark Knopfler is playing :D

  • I love this version of Layla.....Nothing but AWESOME!

  • He should change the R in his name to a P

  • @advidamda stop trying to piggy back off other peoples shit

  • @advidamda be more original once in a while.

  • @advidamda Epic Clarton. I like it.

  • @advidamda ooor he should change the l to an r haha

  • @skok1313 Funny, but far from the true.

  • @skok1313 yeah or not...

  • @advidamda yeah right, he should^^

  • @advidamda I spent quite a while saying in my head "Mapk Knoplep?" then I finally go the joke

    I'm so smart

  • @advidamda Knopflep? Silly name if you ask me ...

  • @advidamda Mapk Knopflep?

  • @JasonTheGuitarHero Yeah but you said he was called slowhand because he played slowly which is completely wrong.

    Once again, you are wrong.

  • @JasonTheGuitarHero It was a quote, that's why I used quotation marks...

That was clapton saying his name of slowhand was a pun because he played fast, you tied to act smart and said it was because he played slowly and medolically.

    You are wrong.

  • @JasonTheGuitarHero "My nickname of 'Slowhand' came from Giorgio Gomelsky. He coined it as a good pun. He kept saying I was a fast player, so he put together the slow handclap phrase into Slowhand as a play on words"

    Shows how much you know.

  • Enter your text here

  • I guess the Cocaine was plentiful that evening...

  • he plays the guitar so fast that you dont see him play! he is the BEST guitar player ever ever!!!!!!

  • omg omg my names layla!!!!

  • @sadchad1 well it is a bit faster than the album sooo yea lol

  • What concert is this? and is it available?

  • all this chuck norris shit all over youtube is so fucking boring

  • Eric Clapton: Layla by Chuck Fucking Norris! lml

  • mark knopfler backing him up, thats when you know your a legend

  • @55bc55ify I thumbed your comment up, eventhough one could say that they are both a legend, since Eric Clapton backed Mark Knopfler up many times as well - check out "Brothers in Arms" at the Mandela concert for example....

  • I was seen he played fast."LAYLA" let me cry even now.

  • is this sped up or clapton really played fast?

  • @C3l3brimbor @widar6666

you're both wrong...The only thing Chuck Norris can't do is play guitar like Eric Clapton.

  • Yeah, quite fast. I´m sure they played it after "Cocaine".

    Anyway Clapton is GOD.

  • Is the other guy Mark Knopfler?!

  • @gigiGilmour yes :D

  • Epic Song!

  • This song is from '70's and it will always be an all time rock hit

    Eric Clapton is a Titan

  • bellissima layla questa versione mi piace grande regia! poi sbaglio o al minuto 2.18 spunta un culo con le ali! hehehe

  • @themochico90 non vedo/sento nessun errore al 2:18????

  • WOW...Layla got this brother on his knees beggin'...gone wit yo bad self girl! LOL! Love this jam!!!

  • Don't get this Norris stuff. He's Eric freakin' Clapton afterall. EVERYONE else wants to be him. Don't believe me? Just listen and believe! Plus he makes it look so easy.

  • a me non piace Clapton

  • Clapton can do more with one note than most guitarists can do with a whole fret board.

  • god damn its a good song

  • jesus!!??? oh sorry eric i forgot you dont go by formal names :)

  • Eric Clapton AND Mark Knopfler!!!!!!!!

  • Wrong again, Eric Clapton is Eric Clapton and Chuck Norris is Chuck Norris... dumbasses.

  • @EricJohnsonFanPage <------------ FAIL!
