I'm so sick of people bitching about how the book and the movie are so different. It's BASED on the book, not a literal translation. Personally, I really like that Kyle/Adrian isn't all hairy and monster like, that's too much like Beauty and the Beast. This is more of a modern approach and I think it's brilliant.

I loved the book beastly, but I think this is a bad adaption of it, it doesn't come close to the book at all, for one thing the lead doesn't look like a beast at all, in the book he looks more like the beast in beauty and the beast and the rest of the book is also a lot more similar to beauty and the beast it is just a little more modern and then it is from the beast's perspective otherwise beastly and beauty and the beast is pretty much the same story but not acording to this movie.

@nessahudgensdotorg I know it's modernized, I said that about the book aswell, but honestly do you think he looks like a beast? they just changed him from a pretty-boy to a skin-head who looks like he has some tattoos or something, he's still good looking. And the thing is when you read a book you get some very specific and detailed images in your head and it just ruins it when they don't come remotely close to those images with the movie. But it is just my opinion :)
