  • 2:34 -> PadMe. That's what I call a sound.

  • Due you're amazing with this thing..

  • @DAUBERMIN Thanks. It's a great synthesizer.

  • Your performce is perfekt***********

  • @TonartAM Thank you.

  • warbells hs is really cool

  • great quality

  • type in "syllables response" the kid is killing it

  • Gorgeous sounds!

  • if you want a real fat sound on the virus TI load a patch and open the software and click FX2 the go to the lower left section of the page were it says vocoder . switch that to oscillator :) this will turn the filter section off but sounds amazing

  • Whats the difference between the TI Polar and the TI Keyboard? The Keyboard has 61 semi-weighted keys, are there differences in the functionality or sound? They have the exact same price...

  • @freetrader0000 Same instrument, different number of keys. That's all.

  • @keybdwizrd The keyboard and desktop "technically" have more processing power then the snow and polar, but I don't think it really matters.

  • great sounding modulation.. awesome.

  • oh man this is the fuckin coolest va i've ever seen. the korg radias is probably just as cool, but this think blows me away! great playing as well.

  • AWSOM

  • Nr 1 SYnth-VIRUS

  • cool video :)

  • THXvirus is awsome

  • trop cheap...

  • Hey bro im thinking about getting one to add a new sound to my production. Do you know if the new os plugin will work on nuendo 3?

  • Sorry, I don't, but there are some forums for Virus users who know all about such things.

  • It's nice to see a synth demo by someone who can actually play it and make it sound like something besides farts.

  • Thank you very much. :)

  • @DrLight9 So true lol. I have to admit, I actually did laugh out loud when I read that. There's so many Moog demos of pretentious muso fuckwits playing some shitty basslines with a sound not too different from a fart as you said

  • efeitos dele mesmo?

  • i have 1000 dollars to spend on a synth, what shud i buy(i will but used)

  • hi buy a korg radias is a great synth !

  • id get an sh-201 and a r3

then youve got two synths that compliment eachother well

  • radias used, r3 new. your choice.

that would be for all forms of electronica, and rock.

however, if you want sounds like a violin or trumpets etc., get a used m50

  • @Krimynal0Intent can u buy me one too?

  • @Krimynal0Intent buy a blofeld

  • I have a serious question because i don't want to be sued or anything like that, wold you mind if i used the sound of you playing warbell HS for one of my projects?

  • that looks like it would take a long time to learn to use o.O

  • Nice Mac.

  • is this the row sound, or used an other effect too, like other videos (for example mx200)?

  • The only effects in the Virus TI demo videos are those in the Virus TI. No MX200 is used in the Virus videos.

  • I don't believe that either:

    Formant1 MW

    Formant2 MW

    are stock TI patches.

  • Actually, they're not.

  • warbell is awesome!

  • hello friend, I know that Linkin Park used rhythm to create new divide? and if we could create thank you... i'm argentine...

  • OK, and thanks for your "non-condescending" response!

  • The second patch you play has some delay in it. Is the delay in the keyboard or are you using an effects processor hooked up?

    Thanks............rob

  • All effects on the TI in these videos, including delay, are "in the keyboard." The TI features delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, EQ, distortion, etc.

  • Hello. I am buying my first synth, should I buy a keyboard amp or better a mixer and some monitors like I have seen in almost every youtube video?? can I connect the synth directly to the monitors?? I will apreciate your help

  • A keyboard amp or powered PA speakers are best for playing keyboards in a band. For home use, powered studio monitors are fine. You could probably connect a single synthesizer directly to a set of speakers with the right cable(s), but it would be best to use a small mixer.

  • thank you very much for your help

  • such a generous machine :-)

  • with the first soudn u can do the flyff music xD

  • Kickass!

  • OMG, want this! :-p

  • this makes me want this synth soooo effin bad!!

  • I have been following these videos for a while now and I have to say you really reveal the sonic capabilities of this unit.

  • Thanks, I do my best.

  • is the tune starting at 2:35 from any song? or did you just make it up its really nice

  • Thanks, it's just something I made up.

  • should make a song out of it its really good!

  • thank you, good demo!

    Greetings

  • no it was a good answer..... i have Yamaha S90es... thinking of adding... motif rack xs....... i do have several soft synths... OMNISPHERE... SONIK SYNTH.... MIROSLAV PHILHARMONIK....M-TRON PRO... ANALOG FACTORY...DRUMCORE.... why is it romplers seem to 'react' better...... odd......

  • what is your fave synth..... yes you have to pick one WIZ.........

  • Sorry for such a pedestrian answer, but if I could only have one electronic keyboard it would likely be a new Yamaha Motif XS. Ultimately, much of the music I've composed over the years has been centered around "rompler" sounds - pianos, acoustic guitars, woodwinds, percussion, bells, etc. While I love "true" synthesizers such as the Virus TI and Moog LP, and use lots of their sounds in my stuff, fundamentally my style doesn't revolve around the more "electronic" nature of these instruments.

  • But to qualify this a bit further - If I could only have one *synthesizer* it would be the Access Virus TI.

  • Sounds like this will complement the Little Phatty very much.

  • Yes, very different animals.

  • my blofeld had a very spot on THX patch

even better than this one (even though this is a better synth)

  • i came

  • What an amasing peace of gear...

    Better start saving money!!

  • i like the warbell hs sound. lovely

  • Do you program any of your own sounds? Because what's the point in using sound synthesizers if it's all preset sound use? I want to hear your sounds. :)

  • Yes, I do some sound programming, but when I include them in videos it just results in lots of emails and requests for the patches. So it is just easier to demo the sounds that come with the instrument, because that's what people will get if/when they actually buy the keyboard.

All that being said, the TI ships with more than 2,400 presets (that are infinitely tweakable), and I, for one, often prefer to spend my time actually playing the synth than programming sounds from scratch.

  • I like the clean, crisp Phat sound! Love it!

  • I tried messing with the vocoder on my TI Snow and was never able to get very good results out of it. The Eiosis ELS Vocoder (software plugin) pretty much blows the doors off the vocoders built into VA synths that I've tried.

I do still like the TI sound in general, though. Filter sweeps have such a great juicy "sizzle" to them. Some softsynths like u-he Zebra may surpass the Virus in terms of the depth of their voice architecture, but the TI has a very distinctive character.

  • i agree with davidvector, softsynths have so much synthesis options, but i have never been vastly impressed by their sound...i still prefer hardware digital over software digital: i prefer roland/korg/yamaha/virus over Eastwest, Native Instruments, GForce, Arturia, etc.

  • The vocoder (in the effects section..) is f***ing incredible

You should try it mr Wizard! it is a little complex, but im sure thats no probs for you!

  • Meister !

  • that thing is beast! nice playing dude subd'

  • those sounds are AMAZING!! i would do almost anything to get one of those... maybe time to start saving money ;)

  • A lot of money

  • whats the difference between this and a macbook pro with tons of software? this thing is what $3,000? must be real powerful...having grown up in the 80's, i would def see nintendo and sega sounds for thier own right...if a sound lacks analog beef, that can have its own character.

  • Hi keybdwizrd, I'm seriously considering the TI Snow, and getting rid of my MicroKorg.

But I need a good vocoder. Have you tried plugging in a mic and doing some of that?

    Thank you!

  • The TI instruments do not have a vocoder.

  • Thanks for the info, as always. What would you suggest for a strong vocoder (I want to replace my MicroKORG, and I'm considering the Nord Modular G2).

  • Sorry, but I don't have much advice here. The only synth I ever owned that had a vocoder was a Novation K-Station. It was a fun little synth and the vocoder was cool, but I don't have anything to compare it with.

  • No problem; thanks for your time!

  • Hey It does have Vocoder. If TI Snow have it then those should have it.

Atleast they said so when I asked Virus Support about Snow.

  • It has a vocoder. It is in the effect section. (As the manual says.) I've got a Virus B. It has vocoder too. I made a few records with that vocoder, but it's not realy my taste. The one in my Nord Micro Modular is much better.

  • Uups! Sorry, for the double comment!

  • Yeah I heard that it's vocoder is not the best. But the sound is mysterious and effects too.

  • I love songs that use just flats and sharps

  • You should do music for video games.

  • Wow, not only does this synth sound beautiful, it looks beautiful

  • Yeah, that was what sold me. Found one in a store and just had to pull out my MasterCard. :)

  • wish it were that simple for me :)

  • i love the sounds, great demo

  • Just watched all the demos and I'm very impressed with your showcase! Access should be paying you mate, because I doubt anyone will watch these and not want to buy one... Putting the "total integration" aside, just concentrating on the sounds and ability to reproduce analogue sound as accurately as possible, is the Virus the best VA? What's your opinion of its competitors? How accurately can you reproduce the sounds of the Juno range or the DX7?

  • I would say this is the best VA I've ever heard, but I still dont think it holds a match too real analog machines.

  • I agree with scott, I do want to buy a Virus TI after watching his vid's :D.

Mr wolf have a point about analog synths sound is more unique, but a VA get alot more options. I would pick a TI over a prophet 08 or andromeda A6.

  • you know though, analogue still will always sound like analogue, but sometimes i do like the power that digital synths wield. You don't have to be emulating an analog synthesizer to get a good sound. I love analog synths, but i think we should see digital and analog as separate things with their own abilities.

  • Great demo. im thinking of getting the virus , does it keep all program effect settings in multitimberal mode ? is it 16 part multitimberal?.

  • Good news :D

    Delay and Reverb per part...

Each of the 16 parts in multimode can have it's own, dedicated delay and reverb. In other words, there are now 16 delays and 16 reverbs.

  • thanks for that.

  • Keybdwizard and hamsterdunce make some of the best synth demo videos on the net. Keep them coming.

  • Personally, I love Redline 3SV. Got a question for you keybdwizard, do you know of any good websites for virus patches and such?

  • The best one I am aware of is the Access site itself. Buried in there somewhere are lots of patch libraries created for the earlier models, but are still usable on the TI as well.

  • Thanks for the speedy reply! Il check it out.

  • Nice new demo sir. I just uploaded a new one myself today! Another lazy Sunday in both our respective Synthlands, apparently...

  • Yes, apparently. :) By the way, your video rendition of VH's Hot For Teacher is one of the coolest things I've seen on YouTube.
