  • POINT YOUR FEET!!!!!! ahhhhh!!!!! its driving me crazy!!!!! good show though :D

  • Very nice job ladies! As for the nay-sayers on here, I'm sure these ladies are well aware of what they need to work on, and performing may not come naturally to them. Who knows, maybe some of these ladies never performed on stage, or in front of an audience before, so it takes A LOT of courage to do it.

  • they cant do balences looll

  • The woman and her dogs made me laugh until i cried!

  • I think for adults because your muscles are set and it is harder to turnout and stuff these ladies were wonderful especially for only 9 months.

  • As an adult you have a lot more control over your body, that makes it easier to learn certain techniques. These ladies aren't perfect, but I think they are doing a wonderful job. What's wrong with having fun one hour a week?

  • good job ladies. U r so wonderful to watch. I am seriously considering doing adult ballet. thanks for showing me how great it could be.

  • First time doing it ever?! Yeah I'd say give them a break. It's harder to start as an adult so you have to give them credit to be brave enough to go out there. I'm proud of them.

  • I like this. Sometimes when you've been dancing just a short while, and started as an adult, it's hard to apply what you learned in class to actual choreography because it feels so unnatural. Hat's off to them, and obviously they are enjoying it. That's what dance is all about for an adult.

  • Okay, I know they've only taken this class for nine months, one class a week-- and maybe it's because I do two hours a week of private lessons--but I feel they should at least know the basics and be able to demonstrate those, and they're not really doing that.

  • I ve been dancing since 4, and still dream with my pointe shoes ( 33 now) ... bravo for them =)

  • i think it would have been nice to help them with turnout and at least pointed toes minimal technique since they been working on it for nine mos. i mean it looks good and i think they put forth a good effort but i started when i was 22 and had that much understood in two simple ballet classes?? i dont wanna say the teacher isnt trying b cuz i dont know what happend but i mean the beauty of ballet is the toes..well otherwise im impressed. keep at it.

  • Loving the dogs!!! xx

  • they are really good for the amount of time they had atleast they have the correct floor unlike our ones we have you slip over all the time, well done to them brave people!!!

  • WOW! They are beautiful, and have guts!! :D Bravo to them :) They look like they're having fun :D

  • hahaha I love the three little dogs that just walk in. LOL

  • Some people just have to put their stink on everything. In this case, dog stink. BTW dog lady you stink.

  • The lack of enthusiasm is clearly evident here, they look as though they cannot be bothered.

  • @Laukinegele I am quite astonished about how you feel you can come and critise these ladies. They do one 50 minute ballet class a week. They were given the opportunity to dance in the end of year show and out of 32 ladies, only THESE brave few had the confidence to join in because of people like you!!!

I think it's wonderful that they can express themselves in this way. Who cares if they're not the best dancers around? They do it because they LOVE it and that trumps anything you have to say!

  • @fayepearce I'm not criticizing for choosing the ballet classes. But if chose to do it in front of everyone at least should TRY to do it corectly. As far as I see in this video they are just running around and looking at each other... They could even try to pretend that it's serious and they are doing everything they can. Is it hard to strech a leg?? I don't think so.... In my opinion if you can't do ir right at least don't me a joke of yourself. There are a lot of other activities.

  • @Laukinegele your a poop :P

  • @Laukinegele Hm. If you cannot do it right at least do not make a joke of yourself. That is what you meant to write, but instead you made a joke of yourself. I am saddened.

  • I'm doing adult ballet too, sorry but this level is very low... You can see how they are not even trying to do ir properly!

  • 9months seems a lot of time for the level they are at, they dance only once a week?..

  • the random dogs were hilarious. keep up the good work, ballet is really difficuly

  • ok whoever given these beautiful ladies cany critsism needs to stop critizizing them. fo reals they are beginners and this is their first perfomance i say give them a break because ballet is hecka hard and takes alot of practice. practice makes perfect. i did ballet for two years and i'm just the same as the girls in this video here. rome wasn't built in a day you know.

  • Chopin right?

  • i know the dancers could've tripped on those puppies, but I really thought one of those little things ws going to get kicked! they were so small, it would'nt have taken much:( nice job ladies

  • amazing that they can remember the routine, didn't like the clothing at all.

  • Well done ladies!!!!!!!

  • Hahaha!!the dogs nearly interupted the class.

  • very nice for their first performance!!! the dogs made it even better hahaha

  • this made me feel really good you guys did an good job and really inspired me

  • Lovely job! They seem to be enjoying themselves. I love seeing adult dancers do what they love...But I agree that there should be more respect in the studio - that women with her dogs needed to wait until they had finished. Ballet studios and dancers should have good manners, respect, and poise for other people.

  • The only issue I have with this vid...is the puppies that came in toward the end. THREE OF THEM. DRAGGING A LEASH BETWEEN THEM. AND NOT EVEN HELD BY THE OWNER. Does that lady have ANY consideration?? >( They could have caused someone to trip.

  • My only criticism of this video is the inappropriate clothing being worn by most of the dancers. How can a ballet teacher see if legs are properly turned out when girls are in trousers.Everyone should be in ballet tights and a leotard! I know its a beginner class but would a beginner sking class tolerate students in incorrect clothing.Tights and leotards should be worn regardless of the level.

  • Its just a community class. Its for fun.

Its meant to be for people who would never have gone near ballet.

A lot of them feel uncomfortable in a leotard. Its all for fun.

  • @balletgirl2006 I totally agree with you.I dance ballet and I feel even if your not a professional you should always wear the appropriate clothing for ballet or anything the task may be. To me thats trully an insult to not wear the correct clothing.Theres a reason tights and leotard is worn. It helps the teacher to see your body and correct the errors she/he can't see in baggy clothes.

  • @balletgirl2006 Adult classes almost never have a dress code. The environment in an adult beginner ballet class is very different from that of a professional rehearsal or a class for younger competitive students. Many of the people who take these classes are older, and not as comfortable with their bodies. They're dancing because they want to have fun and get in shape, not because they intend to dance at a professional level.

  • I think they did pretty well, ballet is not easy. Um, what's with the dogs?!

  • I have been doing ballet for 14yrs now. If everyone push through their legs into a complete point and keep there knees straight it would improve a LOT, bcz it looks like they are just brushing though the motions instead putting the full extent into it.

  • These ladies have only been doing ballet for 9 months and this was there first peformance piece AND first time doing it altogether so I say hats off to them! They were brilliant!

  • @fayepearce 9 months is a long time still.

  • @fayepearce hats off here to. I took ballet for six months when I was 25 and I feel that just taking a class when you're an adult is wonderful. to many people just say "oh, i'm too old". I just thought it was fun. It was actually my birthday present to myself by signing up. Continue to have fun.

  • I want to apologize for this comment if it was taken offensively . My daughter posted it and felt like she was giving constructive criticism. If she felt people were terrible, she would have said nothing. There was no insult intended, just a pointer on what to improve. Yes, they did do great!

  • thats a good observation, one i noted myself. While i think the ladies are brave and have potential, I also think that getting the technique will allow them to grow. Keep it up ladies take the suggestion and keep improving. looking forward to seeing your next video.

  • @maced2x I'm going back into ballet afte 19 years out of dance. I'm not that old. 28. But I don't plan on going back just for some sort of leisure activity type hobby. I plan on pushing myself and learning the technique and seeing where it takes me. If nothing comes out of it at least I can say I tried and had fun. I can't wait to see what my recital is going to be like. For the only 2 recitals i've ever been in I was a flower. I hope ina few levels I can go en pointe.

  • I found this by accident. I'm an adult ballet student too. All in all, great job. It takes courage to start ballet so late! Just a question. Why isn't anyone keeping turn-out? It would make it look ten times better.

  • hehe ^^ ... we're not THAT bad actually XD... but i always have to laugh when seeing myself ^^°

omg the puppies...i somehow felt the urge to step on them *cough* ^^°
