  • Would i open my computer and blow in it to try and fix it? YES

  • even though i live in the hills. haha

  • Imagine if you did't like how it looked... rip em open!

  • i seroisly like watching this episode i must say its a good one,

  • lookin good .. lookin real good!

  • Nice Vinnie! wow, i have maybe 1/8 of the games you have and wouldn't even try this lol ;) Congrats man!

  • I only have 1 NES game so far, could you send me 524 I dont have? haha!

Love the Contra music on the vid in background. Where has your beard gone thou, thats what I've wondered...did you lost it in your collection of games?

  • @goldengirlsben lol unfortunately i have to shave for work, and running and outdoor adventures in the winter is comforted by the beard so idk what ima do.

  • Holy crap dude. I would have had to take a vacation to tackle that! Thats a pantload of games to bag! Looks frickin sweet! Nice ariolas.

  • man very nice collection

  • Congratulations.

  • Another cool update from the Topless Gamer.

  • @EquilibriumGaming dust and debris are exactly the reason. and if there is smoke in the room from incense or anything else that will be protected by the baggies also. i use a 25 watt cool glow halogen bulb to light the room and thats all the light that touches the games now.

  • your slacking on the NEW vid

  • wow !! Congratulations !! ^^

  • WOW

  • glad to see all your games bagged up

  • hey, if I send you all my NES games and some money, can you clean and preserve them for me? LOL like that would happen...

  • @retrogamerSam if i ever get offered enough id travel to someones collection, grab a cheap hotel nearby and knock a 500-700+ game collection in a work week. its still be a 500-1000 dollar job will all costs included.

  • @vinnieblacklodge LOL I have maybe 32 games and wouldn't be able to afford that much for just cleaning and preserving games...

  • @retrogamerSam well i figure 25 cents a game and 10 bucks an hour. so 1000 games say would be 250 bucks + 6 mins a game ( 60 hours ) 600 that would be 850 dollars. so it could be feasible and cost efficient for both parties i

  • @vinnieblacklodge Most of my NES games I didn't even pay 25 cents for... LOL

  • @vinnieblacklodge i would bag and clean 1000 games for 200 bucks

  • @MadeAugust18th i did it for free once =P you got to factor in how many days it takes. sleeping and eating for those days. and where are the game? how far did you travel ? of course you could come with me and clean a 1000 games for 200 bucks ! then we could clean HUGE collections. ;) once i had a persons help we got 40-60 games done that night. most i ever did was about 20. down the line i learned new cleaning tricks and such to save/add time

  • congrats on finishing such a huge project. Maybe someday I'll do the same.

  • @retrogamerSam do one game a day

  • Congrats on getting that massive project done man!

  • @911BONEZ thanks man ! yeah what to do now...

  • the place where you bought all your baggies are probably very upset now LOL, nice job I would not of had enough time or energy to do all of that.

  • That has to be a relieve getting that done, definetly a huge project. How do you clean your nes dust sleeves, I can't figure out a good way to clean them because of all the corners and stuff?

  • @tweirup lol i soaked them in the tub and got some w tips and cleaned them throughly. i did that to my 60 some sleves i had b4 i started bagging.

  • cheers bro and congratz on completing your quest looks like it was a big pain in the ass lol i put my all in zip lock bags si o can re use them cheers bro thumbs up talk to you later cya

  • @elcarohw i wanted to use ziplock but they wouldnt stack right with the stiiff sides. well see what happend down the line. polly will have a case for them by then

  • Some seriously dedicated work there, well done!

  • alright, nice work. Are u saying blowing in the cart is completly pointless? But it seemed to work sometimes?

  • @GreenJanuary well if you think about it what is the action actually doing ? unless there was debris on the pins that was able to be blown away it couldnt have done much more. i couldnt say for sure if it worked ever. i think just putting the game in diff way was the real trick in the process

  • @vinnieblacklodge I always believed that it warmed up the pins, im not sure if that even makes a difference though.

  • @vinnieblacklodge Blowing on the pins leaves spit and blows away a little dust. In the long run it is worse because the moisture from your mouth corodes the pins

  • @Thepaddster yeah if these games would have gone another 10 years massive corrosion would have set in. theres only half a dozen or so that were really bad in my collection but i took them apart and polished off the pins in order to get them to work a little better. but they still have dmg on the screen you can tell. i think everyone should at least clean the pins of there NES games if they want to keep them a while because the grim there not cleaning off is corroding their games as we speak

  • Congrats Vinnie! You must have the patience of a saint. :o)

  • congrats Vinnie, you got those bagged up good.

  • now you can start over and heat shrink them all :) lol

  • I'd love to do something like this but (and I know it's impossible) with the plastic Nintendo sleeves.

  • Congrats Vinnie! It's been surreal since I first subscribed. It's cool that you got all the baggies done. Your channel is the one that probably got me to try and collect DS games and while I doubt I'll pass retrocalypse I am already at about 40 games. Is it tough to buy the games such as Barbie and all that? or do you just say this is for the collection? Anyway thanks again and nice iced out necklace man.

  • @WhiteGirlsAsianPLZ well it since its NES its still kool to me. yeah i bought the barbi game yesterday actually, the day i bought the tv. i got it the day some cousins were over and they thought it was weird. so bad day to buy it mby but a good day for me still.

  • good video

  • that looks really cool brother. Are you worried about the acid in the plastic bags. Or did you use some sort of comic book acid free bag?

  • @tb46667 yeah they more expensive bags have more toxins so i used the ones for food that are safe

  • This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. A single tear rolls down my cheek.

  • We missed your face, hehe.

If you had like 1000 black sleeves would you have just used them or the bags?

I Am getting in some rarer n64 games in a couple days as well, I have allmost all the real expensive games. The only game thats going to be hard to get is yoshis story international version

  • @SkoogGaming well i wanted to clean then thoroughly then bag them to keep the air and contaminants off them. some i have in the sleeves anyways in addition

  • @SkoogGaming Whats the difference between International Version and normal? Is it just Pal? If so ill sell it to you cheap.

  • @Thepaddster Hmm I athink international was realesed in blockbuster only and its like an 150 dollar game.

  • NICE!!! So I just googled -how many nes games made- and I found that more than One Thousand were made here in the States. How close are you to one thousand and how long do you think it will take you to get that much, that is if you are trying to collect all the NES titles?

  • @jasan509 well theres 776 NES NTSC titles. theres also diff variations of those titles when your talking collecting terms. thats how you prolly got that number. shouldnt take too long to get most of the rest of the NTSC titles i need but some titles will take a bit to find at decent prices.

  • @vinnieblacklodge including the wierd shaped ones theres 791

  • @paulspruill thought someone would up the number by including the RetroUSB . com homebrews. which i dont/havent counted

  • @vinnieblacklodge NESGuide on youtube has a complete list.

  • Congrats on completing, I have yet to start with my collection of 250+ NES carts!

  • lol did i really see four copies of double dribble?

  • @wesgrosscustoms lol yeah, i think i won a few a friend from work gave me one lol .and at least ones a 5-pin. im stock piling sm3 though i got 5 already. ima goig for 50 copies

  • @vinnieblacklodge you say stock piling as if your preparing for nuclear fallout! haha

  • @wesgrosscustoms i was thinking the same thing:)

  • Excellent job! But can you still play the games?/take them out of the bag?

Or do you plan to open them in 40 years and play them again?

    Anyway it looks aweomse!

  • @misterintellivision yeah i got unlimited baggies i just take the baggie off and if its too worn to replace i use a new one. ive took metroid out like 5 times already since i started and just replace the bag when needed. in 40 years i hope to have them in a sealed showcase tahts easily accessible for play. mby just have each game hooked up to its own pin connector in the showcase goign to a tv that i could play any of the games at the push of a button lol..

  • Your welcome hommie. I didn`t know you started because of me....

    It`s coming along very well.

    Baggie`s are the way !

  • @melodygrant lol you made the first comment and i wrapped up two games to see how it would look and work out. glad i did it either way you just got the ball rolling faster.

  • Wow Vinnie congrats on the bagging progress very well done my friend. : )

  • Glad you did it man!

  • @Noyjeetut thanks =)

  • I noticed some games you have doubles and triples of. Do you plan to keep those to trade up or whats the deal with those?

It all looks so awesome when they're all organized!

  • @sinistermoon well lots of those are diff versions. USA / USA-1 types. can/french versions and then a few are multiples that will be for the second collection ima put together afterward. i really dont trade out of the NES collection though unless its a special situation. i am sad the bagging and cleaning is done thought i would like to do it for others collections

  • Congratulations on the process!

As you have shown, it has taken a lot of time to make sure they are all cleaned and preserved. Definitely hope that this way the games will last way longer.

I think I will clean the few cartridge games I have at some point as well, should be a good way to preserve them even though I have them boxed....

  • @Aerodynamisch the more time i can spend with the games the better . i like to look at them but cleaning them have been a lot of fun. now ill jsut clean as i go. you could just neatly wrap them with suran wrap / plastic wrap it would be easy and would still look neat and keep the boxes from absorbing humidity and toxins
