  • That was a good idea to justkind of shout the last note and roar! I liked it! :D

  • @rokannis I personally think you have a GORGEOUS VOICE!!! I even applaud you for all the hard work you've done. It didn't seem like those stage lights were any help at all for your costume and prosthetic makeup. I still applaud you. You were MAGNIFICENT!!! BRAVO!!!

  • Dude u did amazing! Even if it was ur first time! Dont let losers knock u down!!!

  • Sorry, not trying to be rude, but there are many many people who wear much more makeup/prothetics and can still hit those notes, and breathe properly. Don't make excuses.

  • @ChristinaWalsh86

Ya and they are usually professionals haha. This is clearly a youth show and probably his first time ever having to wear prostechtics. The guy is probably 18 here. Get over it bro.

  • @ChristinaWalsh86

Ya...was my first time having to wear all that gear, I was 19 and not terribly trained yet, nor did we really have a music director for the show, that didn't help. Its been over 4 years since this show, should probably check out my more recent stuff then judge. Here let me help you, try searching... "Sontag Dentist" or "Sontag Cinderella".

  • @rokannis

Case in point, a lot has changed since then.

  • ive never seen a girl lumiere

  • the point is that the beast is just an ugly creature so thats a good description

  • is the beast a werewolf with horns

  • That see is all wrong. he actually rips her sleeve off and your back should never be toward audience.

  • its theatre in the round smart guy, the audience surrounds the center, hence your back will always be toward someone at some point

  • @excjrock7 its ammiture to suggest that you can never have your back to an audience ... especially in the round, haha! ... some performances work better at certain points when you do have your back to the audience, depends on the mood, the play, the layout, the lighting, everything. This is a very good performance, despite what Rokannis knows could have been improved. Still, great job! And well covered up, some would have just crashed and burned, you didnt. Well done.

  • I thought you sang so beautifully! YOu were great! :)))

  • Dude your seriously the best as the beats i've seen on youtube. No one else makes their voice actually deep and beast sounding. I'm the beast at my school and I'm basing a lot of the acting off yours. Don't worry about the notes haha it happens

  • the girl playing lumiere sux... otherwise the beast is good

  • Wow that is really good. good job! thumbs up!

  • tips if you loose air, dont move so much around the stage, the song is in focus you can show the feeling without allt eh moving, you cna do it with your face, your hands and your song you dont ahev to move everytwere

  • i agree but he is performing it in the round i think so he needs to move about a fair bit so everyone sees him

  • that is a really nice set and staging, you sounded good though.

  • my school is doing this play now. I love this song so much. I cry every time I watch our beast do it (seeing as I've gone to every show so far)

  • more emotion on the acting in the beginning my opinion, but the song has plenty, still great performance

  • try doing it with only a piano, at least you had full chorus music

  • I do do it with only piano now for occasional auditions. I like it with only piano :) But yet that was 2 years ago that i did this

  • not to bad

  • I love this clip. When are you going to also add "Don't Sweat It" to your video clips?

  • y is Lumiere a girl, lol.

  • Sometimes Lumiere is played by a girl. It actually isn't unheard of. I did this play last year and one of my friends (a girl) even auditioned for the part. Mind you, she didn't get it, but still-it was possible.

  • I really like this production...I'd never thought of this being performed in theatre in the round (prolly didn't phrase that right lol)

  • very nice.

  • wow....that's really cool. that you played the beast. this is one of my favorite songs!

  • Great job! This is one of the best amateur versions of this song I've seen. You have great potential. Don't worry about that last note. You covered it really well, and I understand about hard breathing in costumes. :)

  • What do you mean you did bad? You did amazing!

Did I mention I love "Beauty and the Beast"

  • yeah, why do parents bring their babies to performances?

  • You sound awesome. The acting was really good.

  • Parents who don't take their babies out when they cry are so freaking rude. Great performance, bud!

  • I totally agree with that.

  • You wouldn't even notice you weren't breathing correctly. And you sing the song a hella of alot better than me.

  • this is my favorite song

  • same here.
