@rokannis I personally think you have a GORGEOUS VOICE!!! I even applaud you for all the hard work you've done. It didn't seem like those stage lights were any help at all for your costume and prosthetic makeup. I still applaud you. You were MAGNIFICENT!!! BRAVO!!!
Sorry, not trying to be rude, but there are many many people who wear much more makeup/prothetics and can still hit those notes, and breathe properly. Don't make excuses.
Ya and they are usually professionals haha. This is clearly a youth show and probably his first time ever having to wear prostechtics. The guy is probably 18 here. Get over it bro.
Ya...was my first time having to wear all that gear, I was 19 and not terribly trained yet, nor did we really have a music director for the show, that didn't help. Its been over 4 years since this show, should probably check out my more recent stuff then judge. Here let me help you, try searching... "Sontag Dentist" or "Sontag Cinderella".
@excjrock7 its ammiture to suggest that you can never have your back to an audience ... especially in the round, haha! ... some performances work better at certain points when you do have your back to the audience, depends on the mood, the play, the layout, the lighting, everything. This is a very good performance, despite what Rokannis knows could have been improved. Still, great job! And well covered up, some would have just crashed and burned, you didnt. Well done.
Dude your seriously the best as the beats i've seen on youtube. No one else makes their voice actually deep and beast sounding. I'm the beast at my school and I'm basing a lot of the acting off yours. Don't worry about the notes haha it happens
tips if you loose air, dont move so much around the stage, the song is in focus you can show the feeling without allt eh moving, you cna do it with your face, your hands and your song you dont ahev to move everytwere
Sometimes Lumiere is played by a girl. It actually isn't unheard of. I did this play last year and one of my friends (a girl) even auditioned for the part. Mind you, she didn't get it, but still-it was possible.
Great job! This is one of the best amateur versions of this song I've seen. You have great potential. Don't worry about that last note. You covered it really well, and I understand about hard breathing in costumes. :)
That was a good idea to justkind of shout the last note and roar! I liked it! :D

That see is all wrong. he actually rips her sleeve off and your back should never be toward audience.
excjrock7 2 years ago
its theatre in the round smart guy, the audience surrounds the center, hence your back will always be toward someone at some point

my school is doing this play now. I love this song so much. I cry every time I watch our beast do it (seeing as I've gone to every show so far)

more emotion on the acting in the beginning my opinion, but the song has plenty, still great performance
ideal176 3 years ago
try doing it with only a piano, at least you had full chorus music
barrytoon 3 years ago
I do do it with only piano now for occasional auditions. I like it with only piano :) But yet that was 2 years ago that i did this

You sound awesome. The acting was really good.

Parents who don't take their babies out when they cry are so freaking rude. Great performance, bud!

I totally agree with that.
