The reason why Chris didn't make the cut was that he was TOO rockstar-ish. His style was too centered on that and he lacked versatility. Sure he had great vocal chords, and hit the notes right but just like John Stevens from AI3, he needed to be more diverse. You can't be all-too Frank Sinatra or all-too Chad Kruger or somethin. Chris was the best vocalist there but I don't think he deserved American Idol.

Chris didn't make the cut because folks like me didn't care if he won or not as he had already won me over, and that was all that really matter. It had nothing to do with his rock format preference. His voice is great along with his stage presence. And please don't use his name in the same breath as John Stevens. Good grief!
