  • i actually found myself flattening out the dough with a rolling pin and then rolling it up, its a bit easier

  • Awesome tutorial, man - thank you. My pretzels turned out rather fantastic, but when I added the baking soda to my boiling water, it turned the inside of my aluminum alloy pot almost black. Not sure why, but figured I'd mention it, so whoever reads this can avoid having their wife or whoever yell at them about it... LOL Thanks again for the vid.

  • @drivebybodypierce Whoa. That's not good. Sorry about that. I'll look into that problem. Glad the pretzels turned out, though!

  • Are these as soft as auntie annies?

  • @oskana00 Probably not, but it's been a while since I had one of those. These are kind of like bagels; chewy on the outside, soft on the inside.

  • another way is instead of cutting it to several pieces is to use a pizza cutter and cut the edge of the blob of dough about a foot long depending on how big you want the pretzel to be

  • @sonex1203 I'll have to try that next time.

  • Thank you! Thank you! and Thank you! I was looking for a way to make pretzels without using a dough hook and you showed me just that. Good show, old boy!

  • @RawWilson1 Glad to hear it! Nobody should have to go without pretzels.
