It's the same aspect as actually shoplifting but changing your mind the last second. If the cop is feeling lenient he will just tell you to leave and never come back. However, if they feel like it they can have you arrested. Doesn't matter if they put it back or not, like I said this would still be considered an attempt no matter if it were a joke or not.

to steal from walmart: 1. Grab DVD (Example) 2. Have one other friend with you 3. Have friend walk down the isle in front of you so if someone looks down that isle they dont notice that your behind them getting the item. 4. in order for this to work your going to need a small razor blade to cut open the plastic. 5. once you cut it all off reach in the case and grab the disc and put it in your pocket. 6. Make sure you dont stop walkin while you do this. keep walking so no one thinks your stealing
