In the original, Giant Despair is awakened by a jail door creaking as they unlocked it, but then has a sudden "fit" in his joints and is stricken. This was because their escape happened to be on a sunny day! (Giant Despair is happiest with nice, dark gloomy weather.)

i am the one who went on Pilgrimage. my husband & children have not. i have experienced just about EVERYTHING that Chr-stian does. i have loved the book. the Jim Pappas audio set, & now the Journey to Heaven movie. Brother Jim tells me that he is seriously considering doing a movie. pray they do! he also said that the audio prevented at least one suicide. praise Yah!

Meh... I like it better that despair lives... because you can't ever kill despair till we actually reach heaven. It can come back at any time if you're not careful.... so killing it here makes no sense... The book did it right by having him weakened but not destroyed.

For the same reason Christians don't use even today. You see, they were kinda sleepy..they were weak. Doubt robed them of all joy and weakened their faith.

Wow! Giant Despair was killed by the Key of Promise! But according to the book, he didn't die. Christian was trying the dungeon door with his key. There was a creaking and groaning, and the door swung open, and in came the light of dawn. The Giant was awakened by the sound and see what it is. Then the Giant was upon them. But no sooner had the Giant come into the light of the sun, than he had another of his fits. His limbs failed him, and his legs gave way. Then the two escaped safely.

the first step is to talk to Jesus,he wants you to know him.If we have an honsest heart, not rationlizing wrongs & errors,and ask for his forgiveness, and believe that he lived without sin,died for you,& he is risen, alive,then he will come into your heart & life,you will be able to communicate with him.you can ask him questions, read bible, and find good church,he will show you who or what is wise 2 do..God wants to show u why u were made.V^V..__i FLAT-LINED, DIED,& met Jesus:)Do u know him?:)
