Several years ago, late Spring/early Summer, a male Cardinal (red one, right?) would perch in the tree outside my bedroom window @ the CRACK OF DAWN (~6AM, just as it was getting light) & fly from the branch RIGHT SMACK INTO MY WINDOW - REPEATEDLY!!!
He came back the next year, & I hung a big plastic Owl in the window. After a few weeks, he figured out it wasn't real so I had to move it every day. Year or two later, a female did the same thing, so up went Mr. Owl!
