Obama is what I call the Affirmative Action President! No white person in modern times who had such little experience would have ever been able to come within a thousand yards of the White House. I hope all you liberals and minorities love your affirmative action president.....LMFAO...and you wonder why you're unemployed or under-employed??!! Oh, and you blamed Bush for higher gas prices...yet, now, the gas prices have remained the highest under Obama. Where's the outrage, Lefties? LOL
What a disaster this administration has been. Obama is the biggest joke upon the USA in some time. So many can't wait for this ass-clown to go home in November.
Obmama is a Republican, if he wasn't black he'd be a teabager. Voting for Obama is voting for Corporate America and same all, If I was a Yank i'd vote for a green party like yesterday, America needs a liberal progressive political party/movement, that can garner enough seats in Congress and Senate to unseat current status Quo which benefits only the big 2 and ensures Americans aren't given honest political debate. Wake up and smell the coffee.
@NewYorkCityUSA7 I said I probably wouldn't be voting for a Democrat or a Republican. I've found decent candidates in the past that weren't completely bought. They're just harder to find. No vote is ever wasted and I'll be voting every time.
Obama needs to find his balls and rule America with an iron fist, put all these spoiled Americans in their place and move forward with setting the bar when it comes to competing with other countries. I love my country, but sometimes.....
We have Greedy jackals in Republicans, just cruel mother fuckers who know nothing but GREED. We thought we had our defending army to fend the USA from these jackals, what do we have, we have Obama, a mommy boy who sucks his thumb when he sees the enemy in the eye. We need fighters, not useless, spineless cowards like Obama. The enemy is ruthless in GREED, we need real fighters in there to save USA!
Our stimulus goes to other countries? Yes. The U.S. Department of Energy revealed $60 million of the $1.2 billion given to the agency in economic stimulus funds to study climate change. While some might consider the expenditure frivolous, especially given the nation’s financial woes, it should be noted that some of the equipment was not even intended for use in the U.S. but rather was deployed to facilities in the Maldives, India and Australia. Money that could have gone to unemployment ???
Obama losing traction? What happened? Does USA have a shortage of weak white men, coal burning white whores, and racist blacks that support him?? CHIMPS FOR CHANGE!!! OBONGO 2012!!!
@shellymathonson true he'll never get thru he's only there to get right wing anti-war votes for the general election, just like Kucinich on our side. The GOP&DNC keep em there knowing they'll never get thru and then those that wanted either Paul/Kucinich will be more likely to come out and vote in the general because Obama sounds kinda Kucich. With that said D's are NOT push overs, sorry NOBODY gets power being a push over, they're just playing us. dnt believe what Paul says, believe his votes
@shellymathonson Yeah i did watch em on why he opposed Ryan's plan and you took one line out of context, are you just reading liberal blogs?? He laid out the argument on why cutting SSI is a bad idea at this point in time better than most Democrats, if he had his way he would taper it down a period of 50 years until it was gone but guess what? He wouldnt be president for 50 years! Also since Ron Paul is a republican the Dems could actually stand up to em without the internal pressure to cave.
@damiendjohnson I'm not following you. I thought we were talking about Obama's lack of leadership on progressive issues. Yes, Republicans are racist. That's well known.
@brownhornet22 if you know that and sry for my late reply then you would that and in light of everything that has happened in the last 3 months you would see there not trying to work with him...so he cant get anything done
@damiendjohnson Obama and the Democrats are weak. That's all there is to it. The Republican Party was dead in the water after the '08 election and instead of going on the offensive, they allowed the Tea Party to take over the Congress. Both parties are corrupt and Obama is proving to be no different than the rest of them.
@brownhornet22From what I have seen from Obama intentions...and not knowing Him personally...if you look at His patterns...He tries to make things work...and there is a lot to fix that not only the previous administration but previous administrations have done to damage and He gets so much opposition...you got to see this...they will not work with Him even in his own party because there about winning another election...and are scared to do anything...
@brownhornet22 I dont agree with everything Obama does but i do believe that he has the right intentions in trying to fix some unfixable problems...that most of these jokers dont give a damn about and my goodness...he has only been in office...what like 2 in a half years...and these other guys get like 12 years come on.... I believe He is trying to the best with what he has...check out this website whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar youtube wont let me post
@damiendjohnson I'm so disillusioned with the whole political process in America I don't even give a damn anymore. The Democrats had the House, Senate and the White House and still couldn't get anything done? I say fuck 'em all. I'm just going to renew my passport and get the hell outta here while I'm still middle class.
@damiendjohnson: Wake up...look what this asshole has done in three years...buried us in debt...more than any other president in US history. He is a loser. This is what you get when you elect someone with absolutely no executive experience and a bent towards socialism. We can't afford four more years of this clown.
@TropikalWaves yeah, get your facts right, Obama did not add nearly as much to the deficit as Bush did. The only reason it's now higher than it's ever been is because he hasn't balanced the budget and hence the deficit has risen since his inauguration. But that's not all his fault.
@shittyfagg: You are the typical lying Left. This ass-clown, Obama, has spent more $ than any president in U.S. history. I know you hate to face the facts, but too bad. This is the worst president in U.S. history, hands-down. Jimmy Carter can now breathe a sigh of relief. LOL
@shittyfagg: And the only reason this Obama is not laughed out of office for all the jokes we've seen up to this point, is the fact that he is black. The media and the politically correct liberals in the nation won't chastise this clown only because he is half black. The only reason he was given a chance by liberals and minorities (when he had no experience, whatsoever) is because he is black. No white person with such little experience ever had a chance to be president! LOL
@damiendjohnson I voted Democrat, as I have always done since I was old enough to vote. But the Democratic Party is clearly weak and sorely lacking in leadership and the cajones to fight for what's right. I may be voting for a 3rd party candidate in 2012.
@shellymathonson on face value yr right BUT why i see it differently is that Ron Paul[not Rand he's a bratty rich boy son riding off his dad's coat tails&principled not principal] Ron has been in congress for over 20 years& has voted AGAINST cutting SSI more times than many democrats& just of lately he voted against Ryan's plan& wouldnt be surprised to find out he voted against this current attack on SSI. Plus if it was Ron Paul the D's for political reasons would actually fight against cuts
i continue to see ron paul's name being brought up... people will never learn... just like obama and all of the other politicians.. you the voter are going to go to his little rallies.. scream out we love you and hold up your stupid posters... believe the bs that comes out of his mouth vote for him and become disappointed all over again....... and around and around we go....
I am so disappointed with Obama that I cant see myself voting for him again. Nor will I donate to his re-election. We might as well have a Republican in office. He keeps caving in on all that he was elected to do. He's just Bush in blackface!!
@shellymathonson your hypoctitical just calling him an old man. for example: the american revolution; the men were just farmers... who became tye victors against the best army in the world at a time because they had an idea. now we have lost that dream and made it into a fascist government. ron paul just wants that old america, those old freedoms, a real democracy to come BACK! have a nice day 420
@shellymathonson bS.Ron Paul is the only Candidate who going to end Foriegn wars, stop bailouts and PROTECT CIVIL LIBERTIES.you think ron paul woudlve invaded libya ? .you think ron paul would decimate Social Security by borrowing money from it then not paying it back. Ron paul would keep social security but give people and opt out and states would be free to start local social welfare like romneycare. Listen to candidate obama and president obama light years apart .Ron paul is consistent
@geffel nope, he thinks we can pay for healthcare by getting rid of the Medical-industrial complex.removing their influence on politics .What does he want to privatise ? , america already has private sector schools. you may want to keep out creationism from schools but thats nothing to do with Ron Paul and is ALREADY decided at the state level.think about obama = Bush II.Ron Paul is the only person who will end this police state and end the Federal Reserve
@harj2009 Ron Paul won't do much of anything, because no president can. It's just a game. 'The president' is just to entertain you. It has little meaning in the grand scheme of things.
Let me explain it to you dumbass! Thanks to clinton bush and obama your tbills are backed by ALL your resources. When your dollar collapses us creditors will come collecting! Now some of you slaves will be kept but the rest of you bums will have to get the hell off of our property! Keep those printing presses going and very soon you will be just a bum on the street corner begging for your next meal!
Obama is going down and we can't risk a Christian extremist (a.k.a. Dominionist like Bachmann) in the WH.
Progressives should re-register to the GOP for the primaries and vote for Jimmy McMillan (The Rent Is Too Damn High Party). If he's no longer on the ballot, Gary Johnson or Buddy Roemer. I know I will.
i didnt say he was in favor of SSI like i am, i said he wont vote to CUT ssi or medicare before ending the wars. That he has been VERY clear on and look at his voting record, he has voted AGAINST cutting ssi on every vote and public states time& time again that its morally bankrupt to cut off food stamps while fighting wars, its a matter of where his priorities are, learned a lesson? What did you teach me?
I thought it was Cenk's job, the New York Times and the other left wing media's job to energize the base. It looks like even they, can't handle this job.
@shellymathonson Thats a half truth, if you actually listened to RON Paul[not rand but Ron] speeches recently you would of heard him fighting FOR ssi. He voted against the Ryan plan and ALL of the republicans plans, he does want to taper off of ssi or end it slowly but he's always stated we must start with "defense" spending first. I'm not a libertarian nor have i ever voted for Ron but i watch em closely& have my issues with em but your just falling for Maddow spin.
@shellymathonson Yeah, the best thing Ron Paul has going for him are the trolls. ...By which I mean he has a very committed...um...base? Fan club? Cult following? Heard of sheep?
cenk seems happy about this but this is what happened in november. this is how we will get another republican in the white house. 3 party delusions... fringe candidate fantasies... apathy...
who are liberals in the us gonna vote for, they have no one to vote for, with a two party system doesnt give voters a lot of choise. Are there feally only two political solutions in the us.There could more than two oppinions thats right to do in most cases.and the democratic and the republican party are getting mor and more simular, and then after a while there would be no difference and what is that called?one party rule!is china the model?
That is like saying obama is a socialist. If you voted for obama then you were tricked into beliving he was the only antiwar candidate when in fact obama was used to silence the antiwar crowd. Keep drinking the koolaid. How is the change going for you?
@babyjustwin1 Progressivism that plays well at the Harvard faculty lounge is always doomed because of that pesky thing called the Constitution. President Clinton was a Quasi Progressive but at least he liked the Country, I have never felt that from President Obama.
@chaumont20 i could not agree more, from reading his face and eyes when talking about or to america, that there is a real disgust for us and our way of life, and possibly he is doing his best to destroy america, and turn us into some third world shithole
@babyjustwin1 "Keep drinking the koolaid. How is the change going for you?" would you people please stop repeating the same shitty quotes you heard during the last sarah palin rallye? use your own brain and your own words and it will be much easier to listen and to take you seriously.
as a german i was so sad when i couldnt go to berlin when obama gave his speech there, i've seen it later on tv and thought i missed a historic moment. i have to smile a bit when i think about how naive i was. now i am glad i didnt spend a single euro to listen to his crap
3RD: Stop with the Blaming Bush and the RICH. He and the Dem’s had both houses and we have NO BORDER CONTROL, NO BUDGET 3 Years in, Bail out of companies and banks too big to fail=BS if you know what I mean. Now he comes to the people, like he cares what we think after he RAMMED Health Care against our WILL. THE GULL!!!!! TEA PARTY and any REPUBLICANS WITH SPINES PLEASE STAND STRONG!!!!!!
2ND: The Mistake was not leaving. Why do we punish countries and then help rebuild them with TAX PAYERS MONEY and the blood of our youth all in the name of national interest.
Pull out! If the Threat returns, air and sea attack and put ground troops as a last result. I can’t vote for OBAMA again because he has done nothing but perform speeches with no results.
1ST: People please wake up. I’m a 40+ yr old Black Male. I make a descent salary. I voted for President Obama. My history: I voted for Clinton, Bush Sr. and most recently George Bush. Bush spent too much and messed up with the drug program for senior citizens. I didn’t blame the wars on him because Saddam Hussein violated 10 or 11 UN Sanctions and congress approved the war.

Obama deserves to lose. He shouldn't have used his brain, he should have listen to the people who put him in office instead of his Republican/Corporate buddies. People should have elected Hillary Clinton. She would have bitch slapped these Republicans, and she was also right about Obama being a pussy.
@shellymathonson Americans would never add that shit to the constitution. Even those who depend on it know that it isnt constitutional. But on Ron Paul, by all means, go ahead and primary a Sanders or Kucinnich. Let me know how that works out for ya LOLOLOL!
Bring back Clinton. Bill or Hillary, I don't care. At this point, if the president can get someone to go down on him, he's getting more accomplished than Obama.
@shellymathonson Dont let the anti-Paul Liberal trolls fool you. They want you to waste a vote "primaring" Obama to send a message, knowing there is no way in hell the majority of America would ever go for a Bernie Sanders because he is too liberal. Liberals will not compromise for an honest Ron Paul, and get 50% of what they want. Dont fall for it.
@shellymathonson Yes Ron would want to abolish most social welfare...because it is against the constitution. Libertarinas belive no person has the right to take from somebody else. That is REAL liberty. Are you against liberty? Your for stealing someone elses work?
@sicklesickle What is the "right wing assult"? Actually trying to pay our debt and not run up more debt? So if you maxx you Visa card and you ask Visa to raise the credit limit so you can make more Visa payments, and they say 'no", then Visa is implmenting a "right wing assult"?
@calimar28 God damnit. A government does not have a VISA. A government is not a person! A government is not a business! Governments can PRINT MONEY. Individuals and businesses cannot print money. A government can RAISE TAXES. Individuals and businesses cannot raise taxes.
Stop pretending like the government is a single income family!!
As for the DEBT, the right-wing assault IS THE DEBT. Two unpaid wars, unpaid tax cuts for the rich, etc. The right-wing assault IS the national debt problem.
@sicklesickle Goddamt, its the same principle. The goverment borrows from the taxpayer instead of from Visa. It prints more money that its supposed to, plunging us into more debt. The debt holder (taxpayer) doesnt want to raise the credit limits anymore.
@calimar28 But the debt was caused by the hypocrites who are now calling for a limit to the debt. Using your analogy, the VISA holder who maxed out the card, and raised the debt limit seven times in the last decade, is now all of a sudden on a crusade calling for no more limit increases for anybody else?
You throw medicare into the mix. Please, FIRST, admit that we need to stop the spending on the wars, and eliminate the Bush tax cuts. Then we can talk about making cuts that hurt the elderly.
@sicklesickle The debt was also caused by all the govt agenices like dept of education, energy, finance, etc which cost us 600 billion a year and dont do anything, plus all the foriegn aid, throw in the refugee program, welfare and entitlements to illegal immigrants, and yeah, the wars too.
@sicklesickle Eliminate the bush tax cuts I am not for, because 39% is way too high for anybody to pay I dont care how rich you are. Its god damn un-constitutional to steal that much from someone.
Most liberals are not smart enough to vote Ron Paul. They will throw in with another corporate democrat who "claims" to be progressive...or they will primary with a real progressive like Sanders, who couldnt get 16% in a general election because only 23% of the nation is "liberal". The REAL alternitive who has a serious chance to win and who WILL keep his word on everything he says, is Ron Paul.
He can get some republicans and the teaparty...and if some liberals too, then he wins.
@grampacanuck more like insultings.Really feels like a slap in the face when our president caves again and again and then people have the audacity to say how socialist he is.
@grampacanuck I dont think Obama is a socialist. He has a few socialist ideas, but overall, not a socialist. But he is a corporatist.
What gets me is why you liberals are so angry with Obama? He trippled our troops in Afghanastan and gave you a new war in Libya, what are you complaining about?
@twelveangrymen1 How wrong can you be? Liberals are angry because Obama's giving away everything to the republicans. And you want to talk about anger, with not so subtle hints of racism, just listen to some republican rhetoric.
I am utterly disappointed with Obama. As a progressive, I am so thoroughly fucking disappointed with this President. That said... I'm going to vote for him. Because the alternative is a psychopath. His biggest mistake is trying to make Republicans like him. He wasted way too much time with that. They were always going to hate him. He desperately needs to galvanize his base.
@Ryan9145X > I feel the same. I voted for Obama as an agent of change combined with the fact that McCain/Palin was not an option. Im also disappointed w/Obama but, I have been more frustrated & disappointed w/ Dems in Congress & I find the Repubs agenda is to represent only the wealthy & corporations that have the influence to buy the politicians that best serve them. Yes, I will vote for Obama, cuz I see Repubs agenda doesn't represent me. Let them get there votes from the wealthy, they serve.
@NewYorkCityUSA7 Fucking BULLSHIT. Why don't you think for a second will you? Instead of repeating bullshit.
Why are Obama voters complaining that they voted for Obama???? BECAUSE HE WAS UNTRUSTWORTHY AND THEY VOTED FOR AN UNTRUSTWORTHY PERSON! I have EVERY right to complain because I DIDN'T vote for a guy who ultimately screwed us over. That is the reality of 2012, that is the reality of "Democracy". My vote goes to change, not corrupt politicians. Voters don't have a right to complain.
Your vote will go to Sarah Palin! She is REAL CHANGE! Palin is the MOST HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY person on this planet! Palin will save this country from the brink of collapse and truly restore true American values and principles! Palin will completely root out and purge all the corruption of our government and restore it back to the people!
No matter what the approval, or complaints, Democrats will bitch and moan, but that will not make them vote Republican. People who are Pro-Choice will always be. Republicans call themselves "Pro-life" which means: NO CHOICE. But imagine running a campaign that says NO CHOICE!-- Even if you're raped by a psychopath. that wouldn't work well..
Being from Louisiana and poor, I would like to point out a part of what went wrong for Obama.
The African American population in my area (an area where most of us live below the poverty line) showed up to vote for him during the presidential elections. But no one bothered to explain to these people that he needed them to vote in an agreeable congress if they wanted anything actually accomplished. He became a racial figure-head and failed to attempt educating his newly tapped voter base.
*Vote for Ron Paul, and he will implement about 50% of the stuff you believe in and fight for...and he isnt bought and paid for by anybody, so he WILL do what he promises to do.
*Vote for Obama (or dont vote at all), and get 0% of what you really want and fight for.
@mrx0066600 No liberal like Sanders could ever win a general election. The nation is not liberal, and will never agree with taking peoples money and giving it to others. Sorry.
eh, sorry but about 70 to 80% don't want medicare cuts or social security cuts.
and definitely they do want the rich to have some kind of burden like the ones the poor and the middle classes are taking up the ass right now. thanks to Good old Republican light Obama.
@mrx0066600 Oh come on. You know god damn well this is not a progressive nation. Liberals = only 23% of the population, even Cenk admits that poll is right. 42% are "conservative". Just look at the states...a few blue one's on the coasts and mabye Minnasota. But the red states are the rest of the map. You know damn well this is no liberal nation, and that kills you liberals because America could never vote for a self proclaimed socialst like Sanders.
I never said that they called themselves progressives or that they are progressive.
But when you look at the percentages of issues like Taxing the rich, Not cutting medicare or Social security. where they're in the top 80% or above average, it seems like on some issues... they're progressive. not all granted, but on these yes.
Also you keep throwing around the words socialist. There is such a thing as meeting people half way on the common good without becoming out right communists.
@mrx0066600 What do you think is "fair" for the rich to pay? And what is "rich"? You see the problem, bueracrats deciding what "rich" is, and what is fair? The whole thing is un-constitutional as hell. Moreover, there are the tax loopholes. If I'm rich and the govt tells me I got to pay 40% of my income to the federal govt, your god damn right I'll look for loopholes!
The only tax that is fair is a flat tax. No loophjoles, no deductions, the same PERCENTAGE for everyone.
@mrx0066600 And I guarnetee you much more revenue will pour in with a flat tax. First, the loopholes and deductions are GONE...even if the flat tax is 20% or 10% much more revenue comes in. Second, congress doesnt waste 50% of it's time arguing over taxes. That saves us billions a year in cost of congressmen arguing.
Elevate the debate. Vote for Ron Paul in the primary.
He is:
Anti-war
anti-drug war
pro-civil liberties
anti-corporate welfare
anti-police state
anti-federal reserve
Of course, you'll usually have to register Republican (depending on your state) in order to vote for him, and I'm sure that's hard to take. But if you put principle above party, he's the best choice. He may not beat Obama, but he'd sure as hell force Obama to talk about real, important issues. There would be an actual debate.
@Amy31415 He is also Anti separation of church and state and, being a conservative libertarian, sees no problem with increasing monopolies. He also sees no reason to regulate any of the companies and banks that destroyed your economy the first time.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for a WORSE oligarchy.
You have a very shallow understanding of libertarianism and real fiscal conservatism, which is understandable because we haven't had it in this country in most of our lifetimes.
How does cutting off corporate welfare create monopolies? It doesn't. How does ending corporatism create monopolies? It doesn't. And any state would be able to regulate to their heart's content. And your statement on the banks is pure BS, because he'd return to Constitutionally sound currency.
@Amy31415 lol Have you bothered to look into ANY of his positions? And Don't imply that there is only one branch of libertarianism you pseudo intellectual. He wants NO regulation of any company because he doesn't believe the government should do that, and doesn't want to spend government money trying to fix the economy.
@Amy31415 (continued) And to add insult to injury he wants to go back to the gold standard (Which is impossible there isn't enough gold in the US treasury or the world to account for all the worlds money), make it so that the states don't have to follow government, and WORST of all make it so that Church and State AREN'T Separate totally undoing what every single Western Liberal Democracy has spent centuries injuring would never happen again in civilized society.
@Amy31415 I don't know if you were paying attention to what happened in the last century but his politically belief system FAILED. The Gold standard, Deregulation of Government, States rights against Federal Law, ect. They DON'T WORK. He's the worst kind of Libertarian. You have no understanding of him past the handful of redeeming qualities that you listed in your original comment.
@Amy31415, and if Ron Paul is ever elected President, he would all of a sudden become Pro-War, Pro-Drug War, Anti-Civil Liberties, Pro-Corporate Welfare, Pro-Police State, Pro-Fed, and so on. Do you not understand that Corporations dictate policies ? Obama *was* anti-war, anti-drug war, anti-corporate welfare too.
If you think that Ron Paul is a spineless non-principled individual like Obama, then you don't know anything about him. He has been consistent for 30 years while being in DC--he's never sold out. He's even turned down his congressional pension, and returns money to the treasury every year because he runs his office so efficiently.
So, you can feel free to check him out, or continue to think incorrectly about him as you currently do. :)
Obama is what I call the Affirmative Action President! No white person in modern times who had such little experience would have ever been able to come within a thousand yards of the White House. President Obama don't look good in polls. American have negative view of President Barack Obama because the US economy is still in the shit hole.
The media is not telling the truth of the state of US economy.
I predict 2012 will be another recession.
2008 Recession
2009 Recession
2010 Recession
2011 Recession
2012 Recession
Presidential Election results. Obama loses due to negative state of US economy.

@damiendjohnson Obama and the Democrats are weak. That's all there is to it. The Republican Party was dead in the water after the '08 election and instead of going on the offensive, they allowed the Tea Party to take over the Congress. Both parties are corrupt and Obama is proving to be no different than the rest of them.
brownhornet22 2 months ago
@brownhornet22From what I have seen from Obama intentions...and not knowing Him personally...if you look at His patterns...He tries to make things work...and there is a lot to fix that not only the previous administration but previous administrations have done to damage and He gets so much opposition...you got to see this...they will not work with Him even in his own party because there about winning another election...and are scared to do anything...

@damiendjohnson I'm so disillusioned with the whole political process in America I don't even give a damn anymore.

TropikalWaves 1 month ago
@TropikalWaves yeah, get your facts right, Obama did not add nearly as much to the deficit as Bush did. The only reason it's now higher than it's ever been is because he hasn't balanced the budget and hence the deficit has risen since his inauguration. But that's not all his fault.
shittyfagg 1 week ago in playlist July 26
@shittyfagg: You are the typical lying Left. This ass-clown, Obama, has spent more $ than any president in U.S. history. I know you hate to face the facts, but too bad. This is the worst president in U.S. history, hands-down. Jimmy Carter can now breathe a sigh of relief. LOL
TropikalWaves 1 week ago

Primary.
If it doesn't work, the four years after 2012 will see America fall off the deep end and probably never recover from the right-wing assault.
sicklesickle 7 months ago
@sicklesickle What is the "right wing assult"? Actually trying to pay our debt and not run up more debt? So if you maxx you Visa card and you ask Visa to raise the credit limit so you can make more Visa payments, and they say 'no", then Visa is implmenting a "right wing assult"?
Huh?
calimar28 7 months ago
@calimar28 God damnit. A government does not have a VISA. A government is not a person! A government is not a business! Governments can PRINT MONEY. Individuals and businesses cannot print money. A government can RAISE TAXES. Individuals and businesses cannot raise taxes.
Stop pretending like the government is a single income family!!
As for the DEBT, the right-wing assault IS THE DEBT. Two unpaid wars, unpaid tax cuts for the rich, etc. The right-wing assault IS the national debt problem.
sicklesickle 7 months ago
@sicklesickle Goddamt, its the same principle. The goverment borrows from the taxpayer instead of from Visa. It prints more money that its supposed to, plunging us into more debt. The debt holder (taxpayer) doesnt want to raise the credit limits anymore.
calimar28 7 months ago
@calimar28 But the debt was caused by the hypocrites who are now calling for a limit to the debt. Using your analogy, the VISA holder who maxed out the card, and raised the debt limit seven times in the last decade, is now all of a sudden on a crusade calling for no more limit increases for anybody else?
You throw medicare into the mix. Please, FIRST, admit that we need to stop the spending on the wars, and eliminate the Bush tax cuts. Then we can talk about making cuts that hurt the elderly.
sicklesickle 6 months ago
@sicklesickle The debt was also caused by all the govt agenices like dept of education, energy, finance, etc which cost us 600 billion a year and dont do anything, plus all the foriegn aid, throw in the refugee program, welfare and entitlements to illegal immigrants, and yeah, the wars too.
calimar28 6 months ago
@sicklesickle Eliminate the bush tax cuts I am not for, because 39% is way too high for anybody to pay I dont care how rich you are. Its god damn un-constitutional to steal that much from someone.

3. Bernie Sanders who couldnt get 16% of the national vote (too liberal)
4. "Just stand there and bleed"
Those are you choices. I like number 1.

@calimar28
wrong again. You can't win your state with only 16%, and I have a feeling that America is more progressive then you think.
mrx0066600 7 months ago
@mrx0066600 Oh come on. You know god damn well this is not a progressive nation. Liberals = only 23% of the population, even Cenk admits that poll is right. 42% are "conservative". Just look at the states...a few blue one's on the coasts and mabye Minnasota. But the red states are the rest of the map. You know damn well this is no liberal nation, and that kills you liberals because America could never vote for a self proclaimed socialst like Sanders.

@calimar28
There is such a thing as meeting people half way on the common good without becoming out right communists.
mrx0066600 7 months ago
@mrx0066600 What do you think is "fair" for the rich to pay? And what is "rich"? You see the problem, bueracrats deciding what "rich" is, and what is fair? The whole thing is un-constitutional as hell. Moreover, there are the tax loopholes. If I'm rich and the govt tells me I got to pay 40% of my income to the federal govt, your god damn right I'll look for loopholes!
The only tax that is fair is a flat tax. No loophjoles, no deductions, the same PERCENTAGE for everyone.
calimar28 7 months ago

Jamez773 7 months ago
@Jamez773
Amy31415 7 months ago
@Amy31415 lol Have you bothered to look into ANY of his positions? And Don't imply that there is only one branch of libertarianism you pseudo intellectual. He wants NO regulation of any company because he doesn't believe the government should do that, and doesn't want to spend government money trying to fix the economy.
Jamez773 7 months ago
@Amy31415 (continued) And to add insult to injury he wants to go back to the gold standard (Which is impossible there isn't enough gold in the US treasury or the world to account for all the worlds money), make it so that the states don't have to follow government, and WORST of all make it so that Church and State AREN'T Separate totally undoing what every single Western Liberal Democracy has spent centuries injuring would never happen again in civilized society.
Jamez773 7 months ago
@Amy31415 I don't know if you were paying attention to what happened in the last century but his politically belief system FAILED. The Gold standard, Deregulation of Government, States rights against Federal Law, ect. They DON'T WORK. He's the worst kind of Libertarian. You have no understanding of him past the handful of redeeming qualities that you listed in your original comment.
Jamez773 7 months ago
@Amy31415, and if Ron Paul is ever elected President, he would all of a sudden become Pro-War, Pro-Drug War, Anti-Civil Liberties, Pro-Corporate Welfare, Pro-Police State, Pro-Fed, and so on. Do you not understand that Corporations dictate policies ? Obama *was* anti-war, anti-drug war, anti-corporate welfare too.

@bgrim2008
