  • What a crazy bitch, Fort Collins is liberal as all hell. What's with people that won't accept reality? Is it really that hard?

  • Why do both sides have American Flags? Surely they're both sides are American.

  • look it seems that many of the obama supporters have very nice proffessional signs while the opposition has home made signs and you wonder who is being paid to be there? The Obama admin has done a real good job supplying its shills with nice signs.

  • @ cjrush1009 Who pays these type of people. I will show up for either side as long as I'm getting paid... I have never heard of such a thing. Do you have reason to believe this or do you just not realize how incredibly easy and cheap it is to get/make signs like those?

  • look at the bottom of the signs supporting the health care bill it says AFL-CIO follow the money trail my friend.

  • sweet. and how much do they pay? You are totally speculating. Those people are most likely volunteers and a couple may be paid to organize.

  • The healthcare debate, no matter which way it goes, has divided the union. If Obamacare passes, the USA will never be the same and there will be tension for many years maybe even violence. This Healthcare bill will haunt Obama and ruin his legacy. I am for reform, but not for a government takeover. People will revolt! Bank on it!

  • You are so correct. People have had enough with both parties (both Dems and Republicans are totally worthless in my opinion) and the way the government has been running this country in the ground and further dividing this country.. People are NOW speaking up and telling the government NO MORE. NO more bailouts, NO more wasteful spending, NO more higher taxes.

    As IF

The constitution was the ONLY thing that precipitates gov't action.

  • The only powers that the Federal Government has are those specifically mentioned in the Constitution. If the Federal government tries to enact legislation dealing with matter outside those specific powers then it is unconstitutional. I believe that is the point the man was making at the end of the video.

  • Section 3 - State of the Union, Convening Congress

"He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient"

    So fuck off

  • Actually, the Constitution is the only place where the Federal government gets it's powers. All other rights not specifically mentioned belong to the States or the People.

Of course those powers have expanded as the Supreme Court has more broadly interpretted the powers granted by the Constitution. Some of those expanded powers probably make sense in the modern day but where do we draw the line. Increasing government interference (Republican or Democrat) in our lives is troubling to some.

  • "where do we draw the line"

    We Don't.

It intervenes where it is needed.

  • In Colorado it rains and in Arizona we get 112 degree weather. Nothing can stop us.

    SAY NO TO OBAMA CARE

  • on what grounds?

That I want to pay more for insurance premiums ???

  • Socialists side - lots of pre-printed signs

Constitutionalists side - lots of home made signs.

Gimme gimme free health care seems to be the socialists cry.

Congress weenies now need front men to protect them from direct contact with citizens.

  • @lonhosford I noticed that also: pre-printed signs......they've got the backing of the rich dems who keep pushing this communist agenda.

  • I was at a different event up there in Fort Collins.

...I'm surprised I didn't see this going on.

Maybe I was too far down on College to see it.

  • You have my curiosity piqued. What else was going on down College Avenue?

  • Well, I'm not really familiar with the Fort Collins area (I live in Denver myself,) but I remember seeing College Avenue when we were trying to find the parade sign-up.

I was one of the 'attractions' there.
