  • not trying to be mean but, i like the way he says noodles.

  • @ibprofin100 Asians use forks and spoons to eat their foods now. When they eat their own food, they use chopsticks. Asia is becoming more Western-ized and they are consuming more American products (i.e. movies, literature, food, manners, fashions, ect.)

  • wonder what asians think when they see a fork or spoon?

  • nice video, thanks! :)

  • He said "slippy" too cute.

  • I feel awesome...using chopsticks always came natural to me XD

  • Thanks! :D

  • ohh, so the stickier the rice the farther away you can keep the bowel. gotcha.

  • THANK YOU!

  • you said, slippery in the cutest way EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm fine with noodles, I just shovel rice. >_>

  • @failrailtf2

But maybe that's because of the stickiness of the rice! O:

  • @imsobored78 hmm..

  • @MrALLYSTA Nope. Chuck Testa.

  • i use a shovel to eat, its much easier

  • @deputy1040

actually, people eat asian foods use chopsticks a little bit easier than others

  • I'm so happy spoons exist...

  • It's hard not to make asian jokes at this.

  • Jesus christ I need some rice or something now. D:

  • thank you. it's really easy to use chopsticks and i aint even asian

  • Necrocoprophilia was then found assassinated in his home with a kunai inside his heart, he also had traces of Tentacle rape and was bathed in rice.

Sniper- Aint that a touching story.

  • DIRTY THAI!

  • @necrocoprophilia Indeed ,you're not really concerned with anything other than that ego of yours are you? Ah well I've said my piece and you greatly bore me so I'll end this here. Don't bother replying I'm not going to bother to read it.

  • @necrocoprophilia If you consider 4 sentences a book I really am concerned for your future

  • @necrocoprophilia No, Just slightly amused at your attention span

  • @necrocoprophilia And my point is successfully proven

  • @necrocoprophilia And once again with the crude and disgusting language suggesting to low intelligence and poor vocabulary . Besides that have you ever heard of preservation? Some people like to try new things and have the experience because that's what life's about and keep it alive for the next generation even the tiniest little things. You need to broaden your mind and enjoy yourself before you get old and realised what you've missed.

  • @necrocoprophilia I can sense that you have no respect or knowledge of other cultures, enjoy the little box you live in and let everyone else enjoy the rest of the world

  • woooow 138551 videos hahahah woooow

  • lol @ cc... "tiny jazzman's rice" why would you take a tiny jazzman's rice? that's so rude... anyway, great video.

  • Your accent is adorable !!

  • that accent is hilaweeis(hilarious)! i couldnt help but be reminded of that character from South Park named Tuong Lu Kim a.k.a the City Wok Guy.

  • This guy has the ACCENT! xD

And wow .-. I struggle to pick rice up at the japanese restaurant.

  • I love your accent !

  • expert rillage !!!

  • My friend is japanese half chinese raised in china and he cant use chopsticks

  • Its ridiculous how this video got 5 dislikes when its actually trying to be helpful.

Expert Village great job. I learned something new.

  • what about the noodles?!!

  • so like how do you eat rice thats like NOT sticky?!?!?! I was at Pei Wei last night and i had eight other people with me and none of us got sticky rice and we could not use chop sticks at all!!!

  • @Maddypearl100

It's actually very easy to pick up rices that aren't sticky. lololol

  • thumbs up if your eating rice with spoon and watchiing thissssssss

  • hahahaha "wice"

  • is it jazzman rice or jasmine rice?

  • good video my chinese brother!

  • friend, you talk too much! I have not learned anything, in the future talk little and more practice

  • good video. very thorough explanation of different types of rice. thank you.

  • He goes on that whole time not mentioning the proper way to pick-up noodles!

I got the rice down, I'm having trouble with the noodles!

  • @desefortunadamente what !? you have trouble with noodles

how come whats the problem ?

  • @jimbobhk2009 Perhaps I'm going about it the wrong way, I try to pick up one a time, and I simply end up shoving the noodles into my mouth, like the rice.

  • @desefortunadamente try getting a a lot in one pinch with your chopsticks

so that the noodles are are kinda wrapped around them

    it just takes practice

  • @jimbobhk2009 Thank you! Makes sense, I assumed that since I had trouble with one, I wouldn't even bother with more. You helped me out more than dudeman in the video!

  • @desefortunadamente honestly i would have trouble wit one

the more you get the better hold you have on it

  • i love this mans voice.

  • 2:09 "Usually the rice won't fall in the middle of the way"...

    What?!!!

  • So how do you get rice near the end of your meal? That's the toughest :(

  • Not all asians speak like this fucktard over here. so yeah

  • @MrALLYSTA Dude. That's just rude. ._.

  • @MrALLYSTA But they all look like him. trolololo

  • I just use a spoon, lol. Nice video though, informative. 240p FTW!!!

  • Okay now I understand, chopsticks only work on STICKY RICE, not on Indian rice which is not sticky and is served on a plate and not on a bowl... I can use chopsticks on noodles, but not on rice lol...

  • sticky...white...sticky...white.....sticky...white.....

  • Eat the wice!! ^_^

  • Oh wow.. Now I know how not to look like a slob in a Chinese restaurant. =/ Thanks.

  • I love going to AAAAAAAASIAN resduraunts :D

  • thank u very mutch

  • putin de dure

  • He is even holding the chopstick in a wrong way. FAIL...

  • @PirateKing1256

... He's not demonstrating how to hold chopsticks. READING FAIL.

  • @AIN0KEAT0 "How to Use Chopsticks" Reading interpretation FAIL.

  • @PirateKing1256

"How to use Chopsticks : Picking up rice with chopsticks" Which infers a series, therefore READING FAIL.

  • @AIN0KEAT0 You should know how to hold the chopstick before even using it to hold anything. It's like you dont even know how to walk and yet you want to fly.

  • @PirateKing1256

Hence why it's one of the later video's in a five part instructional series of video's.

  • @PirateKing1256

lmao dood ur saying hes interpretting wrong? LMAO look hoos talkin.

  • @PirateKing1256

    no hes not.

  • Comment removed

  • No entendí ni madres... necesito unas clases de inglés urgentemente. De todos modos gracias por la explicación.

  • I'm Vietnamese and I'm a teenager,I think it's a little hard to shovel the rice by using chopstick. I usually shovel rice by the spoon.

  • tye resturuaunt xD

  • i like how there are subtitles even though he is speaking clear english haha

  • @MarkSpang its cuz the video is so quiet

  • well i kind of understand but its still hard the last remaining bits

also waht about noodles! they are to long!

  • @666darkhawk If I recall slupring noodles isn't considered rude s0take some with the tips of the chopstick close to gether pull it up into your mouth and slurp them up. I can be mistaked but I think you lean into the bowl on the table for that and I'm not sure if that both for chinesse and japanesse culture but I did hear of one considering it rude NOT to slupr your noodles.

  • c hing chang chong

  • Do you know how to eat non-sticky rice with chopsticks?? I can't....=(

  • @iLuvJapan1 Like he said, just put the bowl up to your mouth closely and shove the rice in with the chopsticks... he did say it was sort of rude to leave the rice on the table and pick the rice up and it might fall

  • @iLuvJapan1 i just ate very non sticky brown rice fried with eggs for breakfast. :) even though it isnt sticky you can still get a bit of a clump if you do it right. near the end when most of it is gone it is a little more difficult ad i end up eating the last5 or so grains individually haha. but hey, eating slowly is good right?

  • tye? you mean thai? lol

  • they put subtitles so you can understand wut hes sayin rofl

  • In some chinese restaurnts I get the rice served in a plate. Am I supposed to put the plate to my mouth and shovel it in? I can grab chunks of the rice up to a certain point, but there's always enough left that it becomes a problem with the chop sticks

  • @undeadnightorc lol, no you don't move the plate to your mouth. actually, that's why westernized asian restaurants serve you rice in a plate. they don't expect you to use chopsticks or to know the etiquette. it's up to you if you want to move the plate, but for the sake of convenience, leave the plate on the table and use chopsticks if you want up until you can't use them anymore and simply scoop the rest of the rice with a spoon. :)

  • ehow is a sooooooo cool chanel they cover almost everything u need to know on how to do things

  • Mother fucker didn't even show us how to eat noodles..

  • cool!

  • i'm hungry -_-

  • hahaha

  • Yo Hiu,

You english is good bro. You don't need subtitles.

  • so...I was always doing rude table manners???

    T~T i didn't know!!!

  • LOL

  • dang boy u got some hate shit up ur fucked up brain .....

  • Yeah now i can use chopsticks

  • cant do that with minute rice haha

  • @joe69rocket stf up

  • @xxTheUndergroundxx stf up why ? there are people leaving racists comments here, yet its me you tell to stf up? i have to say WTF to you hahahha

  • So they do use a different kind of rice...hmm interesting I will try that!

  • i love it. just lift it to your mouth and shovel it in.

it is the exact opposite in the west as i was raised to believe lifting the plate or bowel from the table was extremely rude.

i like this way more though.

  • @empyblessing shit the mexican way is use the tortilla as a scoop and goble it down lmao

  • @empyblessing

He said that is how the chines do it because they make their rice differently and it is not sticky and clumped together so you can't pick it up with your chopsticks.

he also said that picking the bowl up is considered rude.

  • @310shadow310 he said it's not rude to pick it up. It's actually considered better table manners.

  • @HELL0NESSA He is chinese so I guess they are different. what I said was for the Japanese. and when he said that Japanese rice sticks together a little more than Chinese rice so you can hold the bowl away from your mouth a lot more, it's like that for a reason, cus the Japanese consider it rude

  • @310shadow310 okay now i get what you are saying. I think he understood that because he does show the bowl further away and says it's okay. Okay, thanx for clearing that up.

  • @HELL0NESSA Yeah No problem, the reason I know this stuff is because I am interested in Japanese Culture and at my school I am in a Japanese club. We all went out to eat at a Japanese market and they went over this stuff with us so we don't offend anyone there.

  • @empyblessing it's more efficient as well, and you are less likely to drop food on yourself or develop bad posture.

  • You can tell he's really thinking about what he's saying and HOW he is saying certain things. He takes his time and did a good enough job that I knew exactly what he was saying. Sometimes he doesn't think about it as much and says things in a thicker accent that makes me giggle too. I think he did a great job speaking.

  • No but people are commenting on his accent. I'm talking to the others that decided to leave messages on here.

  • Alright, alright...

  • Yeah I was sort of thinking the same thing. I don't think he is really thinking hard about what and how to say it I think he was just trying hard to say the words right. I think he knows his grammer and english very very well so he has no problem talking just trying to say it properly. My teacher's first language is chinese and she still uses singular instead of plural sometimes. This guy spoke perfectly, he just has an accent.

  • listening to this guy makes me hungry!

  • thank good i did it :D that video was realy helpful now i am like an expert ^ ^

  • Ahh, the rooney7369's of this world. If you can't spell and you can't speak another language and you're looking for how to use chopsticks maybe you can just fuck off about the accent of the person showing you.

  • big help, thanks

  • he's vietnamese....

  • in all the chinese restaurants in my area i noticed, the chopsticks are always accompanied by a spoon looking utensil, looks like a soup spoon, and i see many of the chinese people also in the restaurants only use the chopsticks to grab the meat, and put rice into that spoon

  • he's definitely a cantonese

  • viet cong

  • He was REALLY struggling with his English but you cant blame him my Japanese is really bad though

  • haha he sed expert rilage

  • you're right, there needs to be a tutorial for how not to be an ass on youtube.

  • @jacko821 wat if you want to learn how to be one

  • this is very interesting. i just bought chopsticks and am learning how to use them. the grip itself is tricky let alone picking up food. this will be very interesting to learn

  • I'm great at picking up big things like meat and shrimp but I'm not that great at picking up rice and small things. But I'm learning though.

  • the noodlshes...lol

  • Ok, I don't normally laugh at someone with a different accent, but that killed me. Glad I'm not the only one on here who thought that.

  • Is it a man or lady? kinda looks like my grandson.

  • lolololololol

  • difucult achually ahha its funny

  • İt is f..cking relatively easy..:)

  • ROFLMFAO

  • Hmm.

  • um....doesn't the fact that you understand him means he can? are u an idiot or something?

  • ^_^ thank you for pointing that out to that retard ^_^ My english is way better than anotherguyinthehoods most likely, and I come from Japan.

  • Jesus, YouTube is full of assholes. Can't even take a compliment these days. If you want to bitch over English, then I should point out to you that you didn't capitalize the first word of your first sentence, you didn't capitalize the word "English", and that smiley faces are not acceptable replacements for proper punctuation. Maybe you should stick to Japanese, I'm pretty sure I've seen a character that looks exactly like a smiley face before.

  • And that, good sir, is where you are wrong. I am pretty sure there aren't any Japanese characters that look exactly like a smiley face.

  • Thanks you! I've learned a lot. =)

  • you are the best one learn chopsticks
