It's not really a remake. Just because a game is a 2D side-scroller doesn't mean that it's a copy of Maple Story. Based on that mindset, all 3D fantasy games are copies of each other.

Anyway, Ghost has some things that Maple Story doesn't, and Ghost is a little more fast-paced and action-y. The only reason most people play it is because of the PvP, hehe. It's a pretty fun game at first, but around level 20 it starts to get a little boring because leveling slows down considerably.
