wtf are walkers on? why add that end bit? i know 4 people who diedjust like that and it was my sis who was on and luckily she survived. Just rediculous walkers. U might of edited it but was there a need for the low bridge part in the first place?
well funny adv, though I can hardly imagine how terrible it would be to those who've suffered from such an accident, or lost someone to watch it on tv.
PS hey is it really Hugh Laurie? sounds a bit like him, but like he sounded 10 years ago
There's a different one now, It's when Gary Lineker is in a football stadium and there was all shouting out flavours people requested then Gary said about the most favourite requested flavour was pork pie flavour.
i worked as an extra on this tv advert and ive never seen it, please can u tell me if its on youtube, i was on the set for 12 hours so would like to see it, Gary was only there for an hour.
People from the classic car and classic bus movements complained to Walkers about this vandalism, which was a bit upsetting to have been done just for an ad.
It's an RML (CUV ***C) but I wonder who the owners are? That roof came off a bit to cleanly, which suggests it had the original roof removed for the advert and a fibreglass one put in place. Take a look when it comes off, there isn't much glass!
The band at the top of the bus are called the Rapiers, a 1950s band with a sound like The Shadows, that's why they were used for the advert. They're brill!
they took it off the tv because it is eerily similar to an incident that happen in glasgow in 1994, which killed 5 girl guides and leaders, and injured more.
yeah, but these people didnt need to die. the bus driver should've known the bus was too freaking big to fit through the bridge. and 'lighten up' when FIVE innocent kids died for no reason?
@dave4294 the bus was not actually wrecked it was just a edit my husband is the manager of the company this route master was hired from all they did was put the banners on the side and the decorations on it the bridge seen was filmed with models and things notice at the end it does not show the top deck the bus came back to the company without a scratch
it did actually destroy the bus!! cost them quite a bit to make the advert. my dad knows the rapiers - they were telling him bout it the other day lol
Aww so typically british. Cliff Ricahard song, a red bus, walkers crisps...I love The Rapiers on the top! Especially when the routemasters goes under the bridge.
Brilliant! Glad to see The Shadows' legacy lives on to this day. BTW: That's London's Rapiers on top of the bus, standing in for The Shadows. The Rapiers are drummer John Tuck, rhythm guitarist Dave Lawes, lead guitarist Colin Pryce-Jones and bassist Nathan J. Hulse. For more on the band, plug in rapiers are go! on Google.
Note the fabulous Rapiers on the top deck. Thank god our boys were not harmed by that spectacular (but in reality very damaging to the railways) bridge strike! A life without the Rapiers is too much to contemplate!! What other group could you use to stand in for the Shadows? Check out Shadowmania 2008 to see this fine group in action.

Routemaster Bus in The Music??
eden082006 1 year ago
Walkers crisps are ludicrously good. A few years ago, i woke up one winter night and thought "i really want some Salt N Vinegar walkers".
So i got dressed, and walked 20 minutes down to tesco at 3am and bought some.
I treated myself to a big bag and sat opposite the beach eating them, then went home and went to sleep.
That's how much i wanted some walkers
Critchy39 1 year ago
Why do people think Cliff Richard drove a Routemaster? He DIDNT! Cliff drove an RT (Regent Type) the earlier bus to the RM!
Why waste a perfectly good routemaster! I hate that.
still a brilliant advert other than the low bridge!

walkers are introducing a new 'semen' flavour and marketing them as ' diet crisps' as 97% of all women will spit them out XD
mastercarey19 2 years ago
Lol! Their statistic would go out of the window with the women I know, then, cos 100% swallow! Maybe I'm just lucky.

The Thorpe Park bit which lasted just a second. They closed off that park of the park until 11am, so we couldn't go on all of the rides.

And as of today, according to BBC news, the nanny state euro-crats are banning it 'cos of the eating while driving scenes. (TO55ER5)
