The carbon tax is just that, another tax, and another layer of government, to control yet another part of the economy. The carbon credits would give Wall Street even more ways to corrupt the system when they trade and sell them, just like the derivatives.

Why are you people acting stupid? Many of you are still locked in the for/against mentality with climategate. It's just another variant of the Left/Right paradigm.

Excess carbon is a scientifically proven detriment to the environment. If we keep burning fossil fuels, we will heat the ocean and raise sea levels.

It's the magnitude of inflicted damage and the solutions that are being lied about. Al Gore tells us we're going to be underwater in 20 years (I guess 15 now). Science says otherwise.
