  • hehe yeah common problem with those cars it seems.  The one on my 96 RS had to be changed, made the same noise.

  • I found out it WAS the serpentine belt...AND The idler pulley that screwed me...AND The tensioner all at once..after the tensioner fell off while i was driving and the Idler pulley was absolutely torn to shreds and my belt dragged on the floor...i decided to get my car towed and i changed everything...problem solved...

  • I had the same problem with mine. Take the serpentine belt off and spin each pulley. If one grinds clicks or has a lot of play thats the one with the bad bearing and you can buy any pulley seperately. Mine was the tensioner pulley. good luck!

  • Change the serpitine belt, it that doesn't work look for a idler pully thats bad(bearing prob. went out or is)
