I miss BoA this way, too, actually, it's just that she's so talented in whatever she does and/or chooses to be that I don't think that anyone needs to actually care about her personal style on stage in K-pop at any one moment. I mean, she'll always be her, so...I feel like ppl should care about her personality more. :) :) :)

@Anonymous432160 yes, actually i liked her since 2002.  And I went to see her concert in Osaka in 2007. She has awesome voice and dancing, probably practicing singing for 10 hours a day. But after 2009, she starts to pretend to be somebody, like lady gaga, Ayumi hamasaki, and this is not herself. The songs are now electro-rock, etc. I hope she didn't go that far into other styles than herself.

Haven't figured it out yet? When she's not dancing full out, it's because she's actually singing. If you can't tell from the vocals, a dead giveaway is the microphone. Headset = playback lipsync (with great dancing). Handheld microphone = real singing (and toned down dancing).

Another possible exception is Girl in the Mirror - The Face Tour 2008. (Definitely check it out if you haven't seen it, my favorite performance next to Bad Drive from the same tour.)

She's using a handheld mic, but it might be lipsync'd. If she's not lipsync'ing then it's an absolutely flawless performance. I'm still not sure.

Just watched the video of that... She's lip-syncing I think. :) Hmm there are also some ballad live performances where she holds a mic but lip-syncs... Which is understandable, since it doesn't make sense to use a headset for ballads :P

@fcukbi Lol. I am a huge fan of BoA too. But sometimes it's not her choice whether she lip-syncs. For major events the producers want her to lip-sync, it's not her choice. I know she doesn't need to lip-sync and her live performances are fantastic. But any idiot would know some of her performances her lip-synced.

The truth is that I've been watching BoA's young performances and this is like the 38th concert of "No. 1" I've seen that is in Korea and at that same age too..

So all this made me think how tiring and boring must be singing the same song again and again.. But, let's face it, every artist must do this kind of promotion if they ever wanna get popular..

Well, I have no idea how the ranking for Korea works, but I'll take it she's ranked No.3 for the request list. Number three is good, but in my opinion, BoA should've topped N0.1, though it's better then being ranked 5th.
