Dont purchase the Humminbird ! I bought one for $2900 (the SI technology ) the one everyone wants but cant afford , WELL I SPENT THE MONEY ! boy am I sorry --or rather Humminbird made me sorry !!! after 20 hours of use the screen went black just as my friends told me it would (they read consumers complaints on the net --I dident at the time ) then $250 later after their min. repair charge it broke again in 3 hours use. Now they wont return my emails after 60 days , DONT DO IT
I bought one in March. It is the most amazing unit I have ever used. Tech support is much better than the competitor. The only problem I have had with the unit is a lack of knowledge itself, and the info is on the net.... It is like under water video. I have nothing but good things to say about. I have a 898 C SI.
@WELLGURU I had a 787 c2 that crapped out on me with in the first week of ownership. Hummingbird said it was my fault that the screen failed and that in would owe for their minimum fee to get it fixed which I paid. When I got it back the screen worked again but now it just randomly turns itself off for no reason. What a crappy product from a company that was supposed to have a good rep. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!
