Thanks for the great book buying advice. You are a life saver...(umm, literally, cuz you're gonna be a nurse..I should probably stop talking) lol. Thanks a bunch :)
Tabors is universal to. Finding used books that havent been written all over in the nursing program is hard. I luv pictures to. Med-Surg book is so thick.
I am a male nursing student entering sem4 this coming sept. There were only 2 guys in our section including me from the previous sems, but this coming sem4 i will be the only guy in my classes (how fun is that?). We have the same Clinical Nursing Skills book! I live in Vancouver, Canada. Congrats btw!
I'm one of three guys in our nursing program's class of about 90 people. It is really intimidating! I haven't met the two other guys yet, but I met a junior who's already doing clinicals and he said that soon enough, we'll all be best friends and stuff.
@LunaCow wow that's great! i am excited about the new friendships that will be made through this nursing journey. don't be intimidated, youll do awesome! plus it's nice to have a guy in class to break up all the drama that can sometimes happen with a lot of girls :)
Yay! I looks like most of us had orientation this week. The books I have for this first semester are a little bit different (although I do have the Davis's Drug Guide), but they are all very large and heavy. The rolling backpack was a really good idea. I may have to try that. Good luck with everything and I look forward to the next video!
@RavensandRoses thank you, good luck to you too! i ended up ordering the 'driver 8' jansport rolling backpack off of amazon. it was the cheapest one I could find ($70) and i know jansports are good quality plus it has a lifetime warranty. it doesn't look as 'lame' as i thought ;)
Awesome, Heather! We're all getting close now! Your experiences are so similar to mine so far. Only differences I can see are the fact that we seem to have a bunch more men- 12 out of 50 in my class (although I'm the only male in my clinical group of 7)- and our books are different (except for Davis's Drug Guide). But the financial aid situation, CPR this summer, etc. is all the same. Cant wait to get started!
@sclyons34 that's great that there are so many guys! i can't believe classes are right around the corner, where did summer go? though being in texas myself, I am glad for it :)
