  • i think my speakers just cut out at 17KHs, i can still hear 16 fine, and while some older members of my family cant hear it sooner, everyone, even my 8 year old cousin cant hear 17+. any advice on where to get good headphones?

  • My mom 14

    Me 20

  • Well at 16 I could hear 20Khz because I use to use the dog whistle on my iphone to piss off the girls in class. I guess after working at the airport as a rampie, on the slack days not putting on the headphones with propeller turbines starting up and running i've lost my awesome hearing... lame

  • up to 16, age 23

  • I'm 15 and I can hear from start to 18 khz...

  • My Cousin (12) - 20KHz

    Me(17) - 19KHz.

    NOW THATS RESULTS! =D

  • 25 and I can only hear up to 15khz =(

  • @reveden i cant hear from 17 and im 14 :P

  • 20hz-17khz here and im 16 :D

  • 20kHZ

  • 18kHz here

  • I got to 17. o.o

  • For anyone who is (supposedly) young enough to hear most of this range and can't - please bear in mind it could be to do with frequency range limitations of your speakers/headphones.

  • 19KHz for me

  • OMG! after 12 I cant hear anything and I'm 17 T_T!!

  • I can hear to 18.6 (after doing this I got some software to test). 25, rode a motorbike constantly been to many gigs and festivals and wear headphones to listen music. Im amazed I can still hear this well!

  • Shit... I can hear from 500 to 15k...

    And I'am barelly.. OMG I'AM 20!!!

  • idk if i should watch this. i dont no how loud it is. im ten. i paused at ready im gunna watch now. o wow i heard all of them. but some were loudddd. 20 was hard to hear..... but i heard it! i heard it like for a few sec.

  • @jbennafir Well done - I hope you were ready with the volume button !

  • @BaddaBigBoom thanx how good did u do? and ya i wuz ready with the volume button. i always knew i wuz good at hearing and smelling cuz my eye sight is bad so i am better at hearing and smelling.

  • @jbennafir Well, I got to about 17khz - but I knew my limit already as I made this :-)

  • @BaddaBigBoom thats rlly good it started getting harder to hear around there. how old r u?

  • @jbennafir 48

  • @BaddaBigBoom thats pretty good! do u like harry potter? (srry if it seems rlly random but i like harry potter and i wuz watching harry potter in 99 seconds so i wuz thinking of it.)

  • @jbennafir LOL - I liked a couple of them (first one and Askaban) but I then I lost interest.

  • @BaddaBigBoom ok. i liked all of them. ya i dont get it. some people says the 1st book is so boring. my friend lost intrest reading harry potter on the 1st book. and i liked The Prisoner of Askaban too. i feel bad for sirius. :( something happens to him in the 5th book... now i feel bad for hedwig and NOW i am thinking of another book series. (the 39 clues) i feel bad for irene (i think thats her name i havnt red it in a while.)

  • I can here every one of them and I'm a teenager. They are REALLY loud!

  • I can't hear anything above 14kHz and I'm 21 yrs old, I blame my friends for taking me out to nightclubs without earplugs.

  • Comment removed

  • 20hertz was faint but I heard it.

  • I couldn't detect anything from 18 up and I'm 28.

  • 19khz

  • WHAT ? ? CANT HEAR YOU ! ! WHAAAT ?

  • 19 khz

  • i cant hear anything past 16 khz and im 16

  • I heard from 200 - 19 khz

  • 19hz and im over 25... thats great.... coz many tease that im deaf or something so that means they are wrong..... i just have a short attention span lol....

  • 13khz for me and im 21.. er25s here we go

  • could not stand it for a hour and above* typo XD sorry for double post

  • 2k 3k 5k is the most "painful" to my ear.....but i dont get any side effect :D

14k and above dont "hurt" at all since nearly no noise

but seriously it dont rly hurt my ears but i dont think i could stand it for a hour and above :P

  • I could faintly hear up to 17kHz and I'm 64. But then my tastes run to classical.

  • @gspaulsson Still, 17k at the age of 64 is pretty damn good, classical or otherwise - respect !

  • @gspaulsson Amazing bro! Great ears.

  • $#*! I can't see anymore!

  • Is it bad if I could hear all of them? And even turn my speaker down to 1 by 18?

  • My favorite is 60 Hz, it feels like somebody is massaging me ears :)

  • Could hear clearly until 18khz. The 20 Hz was misleading due to a static noise which wasn't in that frequency.

  • I could hear all the way to 15,000 Hz (15 kHz).

  • Im 16 and i can hear 16khz

  • i cant hear past 15 khz.. is that a bad thing ?

  • man i had to turn the thing down that hurt

  • @KapuistheAlphafemale

    You were warned ;-)

  • im 21 and i can hear up to 17

  • OMG! 17KHz is paaainful!

  • 17 and 19 sound the same :/

  • I'm 15 and I can just hear 14 kHz, is that terrible?

  • @fleffi I wouldn't worry - It's most likely to do with limitations on your setup (connection,/speakers/headphones etc)

  • @fleffi ...then again, I see you're in a metal/thrash band (?). I don't want to sound like an old fart but you need to take care of your hearing, when you do gigs/rehearse, do you use earplugs ? If not, you should - or damage could be permanent.

  • @BaddaBigBoom You mean by protecting my ears I could increase my hearing again? Like my ears could "heal"?

  • @fleffi I'm not sure. You are still young and because of this I guess you could re-gain your high-end hearing.

I would do some research if I were you and definitely use ear plugs -especially if you get ringing in your ears after the music.

  • 40 Hz- 18kHz

is that good for my age? (i'm 14)

  • @Mateav9 Yep - that's about right :-)

  • LOLL i cant hear 19 anymore, im 13 :)

  • lovin the basss

  • 17 was my last.

  • 20hz-16hz i think.27 years old

  • 8 KHZ above nothing

  • damn my hearing good i can hear from that 20hz to 19khz

  • 17KHz and I'm 17. Probably pretty normal.

  • this really depends on the speakers or the headphones you use. i listened to this video 3 times. once with my DJ style headphones (sony) and i could only hear up to 19kHz. another time with in ear headphones (sony) and i heard the 20kHz note. then again with my laptop speakers and only got up to 19kHz.

  • I couldn't hear 16 KHz or below! at all :( i'm seventeen. i hope that's normal..

  • 40-17

  • 19KHZ and I'm 14.. But fucking Chirst, my ears hurt.

  • 200HZ-18KHZ

AND I AM 13 IS THAT REALLY BAD

  • @tehnooblords No, that's normal.

  • i heard 19khz with speakers on max volume XP

  • My 12-years son hears 19 khz, it fells 20 khz

  • I made it all the way to the last one.. But shit if I don't have a headache now.

  • I heard something on 20, but the quality in youtube is well-known.

  • i couldnt get past 16 :O

  • @TheDrHee Too much heavy metal ? ;-)

  • @BaddaBigBoom BLACK METAL FTW MEN! :P

maybe, but I listenend again and I past 16, but i just cant hear 17..

but its not that, someone says something and i cant hear it besides the fast that hes speaking loudly :O

    Im 13 years old..

  • @TheDrHee It's probably nothing to worry about. You could have a hearing test though, just for your own interest.

  • I can hear from 60Hz to 19KHz

  • i couldnt get past 18 khz

  • Heard everything, but 20khz it was just barely as someone else pointed out

  • yes! im 29 and after years of walkmans, rock concerts and raves and i pods i can hear pretty much all of it!

  • I can hear up to 19 kHz just fine

for the 20kHz I can only hear a tiny spec but they rest of the humming is gone.

  • It stopped at 15 for me... but then I could hear 19 for some reason ...

  • Odd. from 15khz -18khz I can't hear but at 19khz I can again.

  • I had to turn it up after 14k to hear the rest, barely that is.

  • i can here 19 but not 18 or 17 or 16 or 15

  • @wut159 - you are deceived...you can't hear 19Khz in this recording...mostly because even in HQ, Youtube has cut off the frequencies above 16500hz. I know this cause I stripped the audio from the video and did a spectrum analysis.

  • I suspected this might be the case.

  • @shredforone yeah i was wondering why I couldnt hear anything higher than that since I'm only 14 and should be able to hear the mosquito but i heard everything from 20 - around 15000

  • i could hear 15Khz but nothing above that... but my head hurts now o,o

  • @Texan102 turned it to HQ and I could hear the start of 18 and 19 and i could hear the full 17....

  • when I turned up the volume I could hear 18 khz.

  • i can only hear up to 14khz . I'm 22. But I can still hear it when my TV is on and the volume's turned down.

  • I can hear 12k but after I only feel it. Its strange. But remember. There's variation between speakers. Many speakers don't go above 12k much

  • I could hear 16, and barely 17 BARELY and then I couldn't hear anything.

  • I could hear 10 khz and it fucking hurt my ears and from 14 khz nothing

  • I'll be 48 in May and I'm a musician. My range is 50 hz to about 14 kHz. I felt vibrations in my head at 16 kHz -18 kHz. After that, nothing.

  • I'm fifteen and I can just BARELY hear 14KHz. With my ear next to the speaker. That's just so wrong... I feel kind of shortchanged hearing wise, haha!

  • It could be to do with your equipment - try again with a decent pair of headphones (but be careful with the volume control).

  • @DancesThroughLife not the best but you should be fine aslong as you dont stand in front of speakers anything above 10khz is there to be lost with good times

  • the highest i can hear is 14 khz

  • 70 hz to 15 khz sorry

  • i hear 50hz to to 15khz

  • I could hear 20 KHz.

  • Yup..that's normal :-)

  • i'm 13 and I can only hear from 200 to 11

  • It might be to do with the limits of your speakers.

Try it with headphones (but be careful with the volume).

  • 19, 17 yrs old

  • i could still hear up to 20

  • 17-18 kHz

  • I lost it at 18kHz.

    !5 years old.

  • hahaha

  • I can hear sound frequency up to 22kHz

    19 year old

  • i can only hear til10khz, once it went to 14khz i couldn't hear legetimately but i do hear super high pitch sound cuz i feel my eardrum still vibrating.

  • It might be your audio setup -try again with a good quality pair of headphones (but be careful with the volume).

  • 14kHz

  • 19!

  • It stopped at 14 for me. Weird, and I'm 16. On one of these I could hear up to 19.5 and to 1hz

  • i could hear them all

  • 200 - 14k

  • I gotta stop listening to loud music....

    20hz - 17khz

  • Heard all of it.

    Heh!

  • 19khz :)

  • I'm able to hear 19 kHz

  • 15- and up to 17khz

i think it may be due to speaker quality though

  • I'm 19 and I couldn't hear it after it passed 17. Wow haha.

  • 19 dudes

  • heard it up to 17

  • 17 baby!

  • wait I just heard up to 17khz

  • everything up to 14khz. I`m 28 and was born with a fair bit of hearing loss in my left ear.. And I go to way too many concerts lol

  • the problem with this test is that your limited to what your speakers can play as well. so you might not be as deaf as you think you are =P

  • put this video on your phone and listen to it on your phone with earphones - you will be able to hear more!

  • I hear it up to 19 o.o

  • i can hear up till 15 and im 16 years old.

  • I'm 14 and I hear them all, but 20 khz was very difficult to hear.

  • i heard till 16 KHz

  • snap :P

  • 500hz to 18khz

  • they are not the right frequencies

the top half seemed to suddenly produce no sound and i am 15

  • It might be how your computer is set up...I lose it at 17 khz on my comp (and I'm 46!)

  • Cannot hear 19 and 20.

  • I'm 13 byw

  • Apparetly, I can hear everything below 20 kHz

  • i hear them all im scared becase i hear dog wisils that no one can hear

  • That's an advantage -enjoy it while it lasts :-) Set a ringtone on your cellphone at this frequency...you'll hear it and no one else will -yay!

  • heard 15 but not 16

  • I was able to hear 15 faint but 16 was dead

  • i got to 20

  • kids can hear lower frequencys than asults, some companys have developed special ringtones that only kids can hear(ca 17hz)

  • Can hear everything but 15 and 16...

  • I can't hear anything starting from 15khz. Is there anything wrong with me? I mean I can still hear the mosquito ring tone from my friends cellphone. I mean, I'm still young right????

  • hahhaahahah

  • wow im supprised i could here that with my homemade speakers

  • i heard it and im deaf

  • this reminds me

is it natural to feel x-rays going through you?

  • 30hz-16Khz

  • i could hear all of it =[)

  • Um with the type lossy compression such that as YouTube uses, anything above 19khz is not actually stored in the video!

  • With the &fmt=18 added i could hear up to 20... O well haha.. but it appears no one got up to 20... maybe there's something wrong... But anyways thanks heaps for the upload... as a pilot i need to check on these things! :)

  • WOW, the deep notes sound EPICALLY cool on my sub woofer! :D

  • something obviously isnt right here cause i could hear 15 or 16 but i could hear 17,18,19, and 20

  • I had headphones on with the volume low, but when it got to 14 i coulndt hear anything, so i cranked it to max volume and then i could hear 19 but not 20:(

  • did you do the old &fmt=18 bit ? You won't hear beyond 14khz if you don't.

  • Yeah i tried it just now, i could hear them all

the last 3 were really hard to hear, i could still feel them though

  • lol I stop to ear at 14 KHz

  • did you add &fmt=18 to the URL and hit 'enter'? If not, try it and start again !

  • I found your video on nbc chicago . com

  • with headphones on: I could hear up to 14khz clearly. 15 & 16 khz were inaudible. then 17-19khz i could barely hear. then nothing for 20khz.

through speakers: I only heard up to 14khz..then nothing
