@Hartt2Serve Absolutely, those he "Foreknew". So what is says is that He had a preset plan for them. Read 1 Timothy 2:4, or better yet, Joshua 25:15 teaches we have a choice. Why would you want to accept this doctrine, just listen to what he is saying here.
I don't have All of Calvin memorized or studied, but Election spoke of here is Not a False Doctrine. Calvin May have taught False things as all men are bound to do, no one is 100% accurate every day they teach anything.
Election: When one Pays Attention to the that Scripture, God bases on His Fore-Knowledge forward through time.
It is convenient for one, ill-intending, to leave out this part when telling others it is Unloving of God.
By their fruits you shall know them, did it seem as though John Calvin knew Christ, or had the Holy Spirit dwelling in him?
