  • who's gonna wash it?

  • For every shit idea like this the canadian version has 3 that are great...unlike the UK version where they drag out the ideas for so long and they are 99% shit...Think on ALL the seasons of UK ive only seen a handful of good ones

  • the Pizza king? Boston pizza is garbage food, over priced served with poor customer service.

  • this is why i don't watch the Canadian version

  • @CarbonBeats theres another version?

  • @Ampxxx777

The uk version and US Shark tank.

i don't even know why there's a canadian version. the ideas are mostly terrible.

  • @CarbonBeats i only know the Canadian version, im sure the ideas are awful on all the versions. but the show is prettycool.

  • that old woman is extraordinarily ugly

  • @petermuscle yeah really!! She could directly do the role of Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations. No makeup or hairstylist required!

  • It is a HORRIFIC idea, perhaps the worse I've ever heard lol

    Gotta love kevin

  • Lol @ the seperate industry to wash the boxes...

  • Have you ever returned bottles and get money back? Yes I have and I do it a lot of times and the machine to take the bottles back is everywhere in Finland. This idea might not be the worst idea ever, it can work if he meets the right persons

  • i like how in the british version they at least listen to the idea before they shoot it down

  • wow what a bad idea, too much product hanging around in peoples houses or thrown in the trash, and the good thing about the cardboard boxes is they insulate the pizza but also let it breathe, this plastic one would not insulate it and it would also build condensation inside giving you a cold soggy pizza.

  • I feel terrible for this poor guy.

  • this is my professor's twin brother.. my professor has money into this investment as well

  • Wow, I know it was a bad idea. But these guys are dicks.

  • How the fuck can an old ass man go up there and pitch this awful idea and product to these people, he doesn't even have Down Syndrome, he didn't go there as a joke, this fuckhead actually believe in this awful product. He deserved to be put down even more than what they did to him.

  • 2:15 -- Kevin becomes Daniel Bryan for a minute, lol -- But this is just crazy, to amend something I said earlier -- I work at a pizza place and a bundle of boxes is like 13 dollars -- it equals just over two pizza paks so we get the profit pretty easily. Poor bastard don't get it :(

  • After watching a few of these Canadian Dragon den episodes, I'm starting to get the feeling that some of the participants could be actors

  • The whole reason people order pizza delivery is for the convenience of it......this guys idea is taking the convenience right out of it.

  • What's with all of the sounds and noises? like shut the fuck up

  • Don't feel bad for him, if you are that stupid you deserve to be treated like that

  • I've heard worse... they seemed a bit harsh

  • @JMThought

What's worse than a product that won't sell a single unit?

  • @riddleman65 I bet it would work in a local pizza take away in some village or small town where everyone knows everyone and you get on well with your pizza delivery guy.

It's hardly a chocolate fire guard thats all I'm saying.

He was only being stupid to try and bring it to mass market where it would never sell.

  • @JMThought

"I bet it would work in a small town"

At $5 a unit, probably not.

  • Search for Pizza Box 2000, much better solution.

  • I feel bad because it's true.. the pizza boxes added to landfills EVERY day alone are so hurtful to the environment, but at the same time, I knew from the start the idea was absolutely terrible. Shame.

  • haha Robert: "I was receptive to the pizza!"

  • feel bad for the guy :(

  • and really believed his idea was good hahaa

  • $80,000??? Some people are clueless. The Dragons' are correct in their comments.

  • I love when he introduces his product and every Dragon's head turns right to Jim!

  • damn...poor guy.

  • fuckin hell, what a cunt

  • His life is ruined over a stupid pizza box

  • he spent $80,000 on a piece of plastic?

  • @MightyDawq loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Another bad idea lol

  • A idiot invention, invented by a idiot...

  • lol.

  • You know that the pitch sessions are much longer than we see on the show. So I have to wonder how much food the Dragons choke down during every taping.

Do the people who arrange the episodes tell the Dragons, "Don't have a big breakfast. We've got some entrepreneurs who are bringing food for you to taste, you'll be all set. It will save us on the kraft service truck too."

  • OMG 80k on that idea i really feel sorry for him !

that guys is probably setting at home with no money at all crying and wishing that he had listened to the dragon's advice :/

  • its not worth 5 dollars, let alone $500,000

  • Im sitting here thinking that guy talks like bill gates lol listen to him then bill gates.

  • perhaps you could give a discount voucher or some other enticement/bonus if when the customer reorders if on delivery returns a washed platter.? of course this entirely relies on constant repeat business & participation from the customer so the pizzas better be gold best of the best, Or not. :-)

  • Get him, Kevin!

  • Sorry... YOU FAIL!!!!!!

  • I work at a pizza place and I believe a pack of about 60 cardboard boxes run about $20 or so. If his thing cost $5.75 a unit, it would take over $300 to equal $20 -- Bad idea for certain!!

  • and I just keep coming back to this video, it's so hilarious, thanks to mr. o'leary!

1:23 "there's so many flaws in this.. it's offending me!"

1:29 pizza man: "it's all been thought of -" kevin interups: "no it hasn't, it's craaaazy!"

    literally ROTFL :D:D:D

  • @hyrman I laughed my f$cking ass off the entire video! "HORRIFIC idea, perhaps the worst Ive ever seen!" rofl

  • That dragons den sticker on his shirt looks like a cheap iron on piece of shit I used to get in Nintendo power magazines

  • They MISSED out on something very important, Tradition, i LOVE ordering a pizza and receiving it in that cardboard box, that cardboard box just adds to the pizza experience, theres something about the smell of pizza in cardboard that i just beautiful, i cant imagine receiving pizza in a piece of plastic... eeewwww nasty.

  • History Channel-guy: "AMERICANS!!"

  • oh i can't stop laughing, this is one of the funniest videos on youtube :D:D

just look how kevin is squirming in his seat at 2:31 hahahahaha "craaaazy!" he's so genuinely devastated by the idea hahahahaha :D

3:35 "it was a horrrrrific idea, perhaps the worst i've ever seen in my life" :D:D:D

    i'm out...

  • hahahahahaha 2:13 :D:D:D

kevin is my new idol. and i watch this show only because of him.

  • He could have sold it at Wal Mart and made more money out of it. Poor him.

  • He spent 10 years and 80 000 in cash on that idea? How? Its a piece of plastic...

  • @jhiok

I think he produced $80,000 worth of paks. Which is extremely retarded

  • Baba booey Baba booey Howard Sterns Penis, horse tooth Jackass, !!!!!

  • WHAT A SHITTY IDEA.

  • @ 1:51 this is, like, the funniest moment for me :P also, when he says the costs and Kevin's like, "YES!" that made me LOL as well...

  • LMFAO

  • lol kevin has such a way with words

  • ok it makes sense to knock someones idea but it isn't necessary to put someone down

  • lmfao that is such a bad idea 5 what to make one wow omg

  • $80,000 for a mold? That is insane.

  • You think this is rude? You obviously haven't seen the British version...

  • he sounds like bill gates LOL

  • I feel so bad for this guy.

  • @pomegranateish Why? He's a fucking plank.

  • so instead of using recycled boxes that can be recycled again, use plastic? Retarded!

  • It's maaaaaaaaaadness.

  • They're right to rip his idea apart. Just picture the practicality of his idea with no mention of production cost..

    1) Customer receives delivery

    2) Customer is told to not throw away the box or is charged some kind of deposit?

    3) Assuming customer does not toss it, they keep it until they decide to order again

    4) Customer needs A SECOND clean box delivered IF they decide to buy again and return the first box

    5) Customer holds the new box until.... I think I see a problem here...

    .

  • @irdamage thx captain obvious!

  • :(

  • Kevin:Ok you old fucked up nerd, your idea sucks shit(pulls out a gun and a 4 gallon bucket),pull out your wrinkly old stinky small cock and fill this bucket in one hour with your geek juice.

Dumb Pizza Guy:I...I can't do it,I haven't been hard in years!

    4 hours later

Dumb Pizza Guy(naked, sweaty and exhausted):There,I did it,it's full of my cum.

Kevin(shoots him in the chest 4 times):Now drink your geek juice.

    Arlene:You're barbaric Kevin!

Kevin shoots Arlene in the face.

  • "The good news is you can stop today -- NEVER spend another dime on this"

Hell yeah Kevin! What a bad idea.

  • Comment removed

  • Kevin is the shit!

  • He wants to rid the landfills of cardboard (even though most if not all cardboard boxes are recyclable!) and put PLASTIC containers in the pizza places where the customer has to return the container after a delivery?? So, more or less, it;s like, "Okay Mr. Customer, here is your delivery. Thank you for your business at XX Pizza Store. Please return the container when you are done eating!" I wonder what kind of system it would take to keep track of all of these out there being delivered!

  • why not sell this on QVC for home use? i wouldn't mind to have this for my leftover frozen pizza... worth $5 ... lots of other crap sold on there nobody ever uses yet it sells

  • @lehighmark It already exists. Although there's a cheaper alternative you already own, it's called a plate.

I want to know how the fuck he spent 80k on that...?

  • @lehighmark I think $5.7...whatever is his production cost... Which is actually insanely high for a couple plastic plates. I bet with the right contacts and a proper initial investment, he could make them for under $1 a unit.

That said, the home is definitely a much better market... But would it sell enough to be worth it?

  • Basically the bottomline is PHUCK DA INVIROMENT IF EIT DOES NOT MAKE ME ANY PROFIT AT ALL or IF IT MAKES ME LOOSE MY MONIES!

  • @supersmash43 2:52 self explanatory.. people wont return that shit... like another user said for leftover pizza it is a good idea..imagine how it would HURT the environment using this vs recyclable boxes? and if ppl dont return this then what make more? it takes pertoleum to make that too so....

  • @guapgueezee the main problem with this product is that the production costs of this product is WAY to expensive.

  • knock knock knock. um sir we come to take our frisbees back!

  • @vsoccer2010 can the Dragon's actually decline their decline?

  • He could pull it off as the Big Red Frisbees still though ...

  • cardboard in the landfill is better than plastic in the landfill

  • The best thing is the face of that guy, nothing gets to him, he is too stupid to take business advices from people who RUN the business. Frankly I wonder how did he got to spend 80 K on anything. Whoever he got that money from should be incapacitated, cause thats just dangerous:D

  • Damn lol

  • Honestly done right this idea could make it.

  • ..."Here's your pizza Sir, don't forget to wash and return our Pizza Pak!" LOL

  • very bad business model, the box retrieval upon subsequent delivery

  • this is the dumbest fucking idea ever

  • @unholychunk i saw dumber in that show believe me! lol

  • These guys were just giving this guy a dose of REAL TALK. Reality. Making him see sense.

If you wanna see RUDENESS, see the UK version of Dragon's Den. Specifically, type in "very PC epic fail" (in youtube) to see a guy get the equivalent of a watermelon shoved deep into his arse - such was the cussing he got. lmao.

  • Who ever thinks these guys were rude should try watching the UK version. Those guys are super mean!

  • as Kevin would say: he needs to go out into the woods by himself and slit his wrists

  • everyone should be forced to take at least microeconomics in highschool!

  • pt.2

And what about pick ups!? You expect people to carry this home, eat the pizza and bring it back like an hour later? And what if you RUN out of boxes? It happens!

  • As a person who works in Pizza places, this is a DUMB DUMB idea. Think about all the money, energy and water used transporting it to the customer and back to the store, washing it. For something to keep left overs, sure it's a good idea but think about it; a busy weekend day, a business does (at a minimum) 200 orders (which will have MULTIPLE ITEMS). This means that you need at least double or triple the amount of boxes, and you better hope the customer doesn't steal them (cont on part.2)

  • @IndyX thanks for repeating it thats why youll work with pizza your whole life you stupid fuck face

  • I would order one pizza to steal the Pizza Pak, then never order from that restaraunt agian

  • stupid idea...

  • i think it's a good idea u.u

  • kevin is smart he knows bisness

    kevin has a huge nose

  • kevin is smart he knows bisness

  • It is a difficult business idea. It can be used as a customer loyalty scheme. The customer may have the option to choose the plastic packaging by paying a few more dollars, and then receive a small discount on his new order every time he returns the packaging. But then again, a big pizza company would make that packaging by itself and not order it from this guy.

  • What the hell was this guy thinking? LOL.

  • I'm someone who orders pizzas on a weekly basis.... although i don't always use the same vendor.... so giving back this plastic pizza plate once every few orders is debatable

  • I Love Kevin.... UNREAL Business man!!!

  • The Product ITSELF is actually a good idea, but what he wants to use it for is just a bad idea. Not only could you not get it back but how would you even try to take it back, I mean, what are you going to do, deliver a Pizza to someone's else, ask them to bring out a plate, slide the Pizza of the tray and then return the pizza pack to the restraunt/ pizza shop. That just doesn't make sense. However it would be good for say, putting pizza out on the Coffee Table or bringing left-overs to someone.

  • @andy77718 No what the guy proposed is an even dumber idea. When the pizza is delivered you get the plastic box. The only way that box gets returned is if you order from that same pizza place and when they come to deliver you another pizza the 2nd time, they'll pick up the box from you only to give you another box that will have to be picked up on the next delivery. So if you never order a pizza from that place again...the box is yours.

It's the dumbest idea in the history of the Den.

  • This is such a stupid idea that if he continued to pursue it than he deserves/deserved to go bankrupt.

If I call a pizza place and they bring me a pizza in that, do you think that the next time I order from them, I'm going to give the thing back? Not a chance.

This is one of the most stupid ideas I have ever seen on DD.

  • There was a product that came out a while ago, where the cardboard pizza box comes with perforated lines so you can make pizza plates out of it..

  • Kevin is such a negative. Please post a link beside the UNO bike that Kevin likes!

  • For ANYONE who has a problem with the Dragons treatment, would you give him $100,000?

    There you go

  • @mathlover5k

Can't look at it like that, $100 000 is chump change for them, but they act as though it's their life savings.

  • @2SixGraders Okay, if you have THAT amount of money, would you invest in it?

Also, if you're a freaking billionaire, why would you want Bozo's like this waste your time?

  • @2SixGraders That's ridiculous, even for a 6th grader. And if you really are two 6th graders that's even worse. They are there to MAKE money, not show off that they can spend it by throwing it away on products that mathematically impossible to make money from.

  • @jaekn

    11th Grader, but nice try.

  • @2SixGraders ...you realize that , that is worse than being such a moron in six grade. Its not a "nice try" when your name is "two six graders".. wow you're dumb

  • @jaekn

Hey buddy, I was in SIXTH grade, so ease up. I think people would understand that children in SIXTH grade don't really give a damn about anything related to grammar or spelling, including you. You don't capitalize some of the words you spell, but do I get on your case about that? Nope.

I would just let this thing go dude, there's nothing worse than a youtube comment fight that has no point.

  • @2SixGraders This isn't a "fight," because you don't seem to disagree that you're a moron. Noone said anything about your spelling or grammar, just your stupid ideas haha.

  • american dragons dens horrible the dragons dont even listen to the pitches

  • Iol the Dragons.. they epitomize the typical rich person.

  • @Morelloo1 what is the epitome of the typical rich person? ;)

  • hahahahhahaahahahaaha wat a stupid idea. Poor guy he spent $80,000, the molding guy sure saw that this guy was an idiot and just took his money. Hey buddy, can i return my Craft Cheese Macaroni box and get a refill lol wat a crap idea.

  • @hoteurostud He's not even the worst one. Oil And Sand separator is just tragic, couple of non-engineers who lost their house, family and life-savings getting hosed by patent lawyers on a boring, unworkable idea. Why would a boat want to separate water from oil? What would they do with it? It's not even processed yet, so it's the useless kind of oil. The market is so specific, they had no chance. And they genuinely didn't know it till the dragons filled them in. Real sad stuff.

  • I understand where this guy is coming from with discarded pizza boxes, but wouldn't it just make more sense to try and develop a more biodegradable format? Spending 80,000 dollars on developing a new line of Tupperware is insane.

  • I feel really sorry for the guy, but it is a truly awful idea.

  • I love it when O'Leary gets offended by the lack of money made. I'm not mocking him for it or anything, but you'd expect people to say that with regards to any sort of moral issue, not when someone's idea is so profit-depraved.

  • @LordOfFreedom He is there on the show for one reason and one reason only: to make money on an investment. Kevin is no fool, he knows immediately when the cost-structure is made of fail, or the valuation was done by a maniac.

There is no room for the goody-goody stuff in Venture capital. 9 of 10 venture businesses fail, and those are the ones that drew investments to begin with. "Doing the right thing", more often than not, costs money, making a risky idea even less invest-able.

  • I actually think the abuse could have the opposite effect sometimes, making the person want it to work more. Sometimes I prefer James Khan's (UK Dragons Den) firm but honest approach, not like the bald dude (name?) always jumping in his chair and abusing people.

  • julie bacroft force me to watch that !

  • What if the customer doesn't order again? They'll use the tray as a frisbee. Hey, it's for free!

  • he's missing the main flaw:

THE CUSTOMER HAS NO LEGAL OBLIGATION TO RETURN THE BOX THAT THE PIZZA COMPANY HAS SPENT OVER 5 BUCKS ON!!!

  • if there werent stupid people out there giving away their money like that the dragons wouldnt be millionaires

  • There's a reason why many countries in the world use cardboard boxes for pizza. They are way more practical than this device. However this product could be used for novelty or home storage purposes. Definitely not for delivering one of billions of pizzas daily.

  • Compared to the English version of Dragons Den, this show doesn't come close to the original but it still nonetheless and I like how the producers select the worst rubbish ideas to present in front of the Dragons. I guess they are going for comedic effect. Still the English Dragons are still funnier though, even when the ideas appear to be quite sensible.

  • Poor Ron, a good idea.

That bald guy is making my fists itch......self centered PRICK!!!

  • If GloblWarming was real this would be an enacted idea - these bottom-rung fatcats are indicative of their higher masters - there's no bloody global warming caused by humans.

  • who cares about landfills, have you ever flown over canada, there is plenty of room for more landfills for pizza boxes!

  • terrible

  • This could work if it were forced on regular delivery or take-out customers and they paid a deposit and handed it back to the restaurant or delivery guy the next time. We already do it with bottles and cans. It might not be any better for the environment now that paper boxes are recycled or composted anyway.

  • Yes, presumably you would charge a deposit. However:

    1) The fee would have to be like $5, that's what they cost.

    2) An extra $5 deposit per pizza will turn away customers.

    3) Many will get thrown out, or at best a recycling bin.

    4) Recycling dirty secret: for emissions, recycled plastic is worse than new. It's true! The only benefit is avoiding landfills.

    5) Washing sorting storing take money and energy too.

    6) "if you forced people..." Efficient ideas don't need force.

    Bad product

  • @notme222 Just on your last note, force is definitely necessary when dealing with garbage. An individual may decide that the most efficient thing for them is to drop their garbage where they like. You're not allowed to even do that on your own property, as fines and even imprisonment may result if neighbors complain.

  • @newguy33X Requiring responsibility =/= forcing behavior.

eg: In the 70s, Honda invented an engine that naturally gave lower emissions but didn't use a catalytic converter. However, US law *forced* car makers to use a cat. So Americans ended up buying more of the wasteful polluting engines since the law didn't allow for the naturally clean ones.

Accountability is good. But don't force people to use your methods. If you're right people will choose it naturally.

  • @notme222 Places without force regarding garbage have problems, such as India having cows dying from eating too much plastic and the sick joke about Kenya being that the national flower is the plastic bag.

  • Hardheaded optimism is worth less than zero when it's not backed up by any evidence.

  • If they were respectful and kind and smiley and gave out lollipops to everyone, would that make for compelling TV?

  • no.

  • Correct

  • baaad ideaaa....

  • They have no obligation to respect anyone. A show featuring a bunch of kind-hearted billionaires who are too polite to turn down people's moronic ideas would be canceled immediately, and for good reason.

  • @BloodFalcon2k7 None of the are even close to being billionaires. The top 100 Richest Canadians list ends in the 400 millions and they're not on it.

I doubt they're even close to that.

  • @BloodFalcon2k7 lol too true

  • yeah I agree the dragons can be really disrespectful, but that's the business world. Personally, I would rather be ridiculed by dragons than to be broke from a bad business idea. You decide.

  • @nairblin

Yeah, and some of these ideas are a joke and the people that come out are just asking to be ridiculed.

  • @nairblin

It's like going on "American Idol" and not being able to sing for crap.

  • @nairblin Since when was HONESTY mistaken with DISRESPECT?

Truth hurts. Get used to it.

  • @nairblin there are many of very successful 'shrewd' yet polite successful businessmen and women and they are much more successful.

  • This guy is dumber than a sack of nails. Pizza box, give me a break.Lol.

  • that was painful to watch

  • Who is going to want a job as a plastic pizza tray cleaner? Man that's a dumb idea.
