@a7xdeathbat15 I'm 99% sure it's because they were touring overseas to open for Metallica. Although, normally he brought the large set anyways...

I was told that it was just quicker for tear down so he brought all the pieces of the set he needed. With his large set he didn't need all of the parts...they were more like accessories. With this set he could complete all his fills.

I agree 100% that the triple set is much better. to be honest, this set looks empty the way its set up

I remember seeing that that time in Marlay Park and the Rev came on behind the kit and he was dressed so normally and had a beard so I thought he was a roadie, and then he started playing and the rest came on and I was like "WTF are you doing roadie?!?!" and then I realized iit was the Rev :P

@techepix The problem that most metal fans don't seem to realise, is that screaming is improper singing. You will lose it, it's inevitable. Screaming, as well as just rough singing in general is a form of singing from the throat which you aren't supposed to do. The more often you do it, the faster you lose your voice which is why all metal bands with rough voiced singers end up singing differently after a while. They end up blowing there voice. See Metallica, Judas priest, etc,.

@superstarcormier Rob halford did not lose his voice.he always sang from his diaphragm.you can scream but you have to do it right.james hetfield just grew up from 18.his voice isnt diff because he yelled.early metallica was yelling not screaming.axl rose for example sang from his throat and therefore when GnR had a 4 night show they would have to cancel because he would lose his voice after the first night.

That's called a loaner kit, my friend. His drumset he used on US tours is too big and too much of a liability to ship to Europe, so DW (his endorser) hooked him up with a kit that's good enough. If it was up to him, I'm sure he would've preferred to play his final shows on a bigger drumset, but at least he got to play his final shows with Metallica!
