  • the first point this video makes is off roading realy? ..... ill take the gmc over the honda any day

  • dude wat. my mom's '06 subaru has this... come to think of it. i've never driven a car without hill asist... exception of my manual volkswagen ;)

  • my shitty town car even has this

  • Whatever happened to USING THE PARKING BRAKE until propulsion takes over? People don't need hill start assist, they need a bus pass.

  • @chunkyazian its not so easy to do for inexperienced drivers when there is a Parking brake by the clutch and not in the center console. Did you really think this comment through?.

  • @halflife103 Since when does a Honda Pilot come with a driver operable clutch pedal? Also, the parking brake release is usually a pull knob on the dash for the step on kind. If not, you can push the parking brake pedal down again with a steering wheel lock or a baseball bat.

Technology should not take the place of proper procedure, even for inexperienced drivers

  • @chunkyazian sorry i got videos mixed up. but yeah you do make a good point, i have tried to teach my friends to drive... but they demand that they can only use shortcuts. which makes me believe a large majority of people cannot do anything without modern technology.

"Technology should not take the place of proper procedure, even for inexperienced drivers". Very good quote though.

  • @chunkyazian i completely agree.. there are thousands of ways to start on a hill without a "hill start assist" lol when i tow with my f250 their ain;t no god damn hill assist.. i use the heel-toe method

  • @chunkyazian Yeah-yeah, using a handbreak is so fun when you have to drive in a traffic uphill for over a mile. And what will you do if handbreak fail? Experienced drivers don't use handbreak when driving. There's a reason why handbreak is also called a "parking break" - it's not designed to be used in a traffic. Just do what all do - learn how depress the clutch fast enough and not to miss an engaging point. This way you are will roll back just a few inches.

  • Its called letting off the clutch alttle before letting off the brake. Shoot I got that on my 91 F250
