Fossils only prove 1 thing, something died...That fossil you dig up can never be proved to ever have had offspring, let alone offspring of different kinds of organisms.. For all you ppl know that fossil could have been a fossil of an exstint organism.. Micro evolution (variations within the same kind) is testable and observable thru scientific means...Dogs will always produce dogs.. Your religious belief system (evolution) is a fairytail, you're entitled to believe it, but don't call it science
the chronicle project.org has restored the original hebrew text from the bilble, the new translation says that the earth was in fact here before man and that it was covered with water..this could put creation and science on the same page..makes you wonder why they went so far outta the way to change certain things
And if we knew God was right for thousands od years then some guy stands up and makes a theory that sounds ok.You are gonna think it is right?Ok trust one man.And if you tell a lie long enough then people start to think it is real.
Evolutionist open minded???I im only 14 years old and i told a guy about God and even said i would like to hear his side on evolution and all he did and others was cuss at me.And lots of people have done the same!i know that I am a Christain that lets others tell me about there belifs.i have looked into other religions and the Bible is the most simple to the trurth book.Ever.Also if God is fake it is the biggest lie ever made. Why would you think darwin is right?
@combatfoot If you question the theory of evolution, that's great, because critical inquiry is a component of science. If you objectively question your belief in God, you may quickly loose faith. Religion doesn't welcome critical inquiry, and that should tell you something. If someone is hiding something from you behind their back, they wouldn't want you to look. But if someone has nothing to hide, they certainly wouldn't mind. I wish I had learned this when I was your age.
the day believers become nonbelievers is the day the murder and rape rates across the globe go up drastically. these people are always the ones that sound like theyd be killing and raping without their god.
@doritoesPLAY No scientist in the relevant field has ever stated that homo sapiens derived from monkeys, nor does any legitimate person who sees evolution by natural selection in the Darwinian sense who actually has a solid comprehension of how evolution works.
@doritoesPLAY It was meant to be a comical view of the evolution of man; the animal that you're referring to is an image of an early acestor to most likely a large branch of apes - including homo sapiens - with only similar looks to modern species of chimpanzee or even some some forms of monkey. The ape itself was however not a modern monkey as you called it.
@doritoesPLAY Some people very well may believe that we 'came' from apes, but the fact is that we are ourselves indeed apes, just like chimpanzees or gorillas, we're just another branch of the evolutionary tree.
@doritoesPLAY Actually we are in the primate genus, we are and have always been animals. I know its tough to accept but if you were to pay attention to the behaviors in comparison to us, it is them who is more perfect and less violent than we are. They don't speak a human language but still communicate with each other. They make decisions as we do, they have the same emotions. How much clearer can it be to swallow..
@shlunko You're not answering my fucking question. How does evolution explain the fact that humans create, explain, build, innovate, etc? How does it explain how different we are from apes? Like how we feel shame, empathy, love, etc?
@doritoesPLAY we share a common ancestor with apes/monkeys- whatever you want to call them... we did not directly COME from apes... a chimpanzee is an ape .. we are most related to chimpanzees, followed by the rest of the greater apes.. then the lesser apes then other primates.. then other mammals.. then other vertebrates... then other animals and finally .. we are related to.. on the smallest scale.. bacteria... this has all been confirmed through the study of DNA
@mbglosser o.o How does evolution explain the fact that humans create, explain, build, innovate, etc? How does it explain how different we are from them? Like how we feel shame, empathy, love, etc?
@doritoesPLAY Chimps create tools, and they go to war with one another just like humans. The sign language Gorilla Koko expressed sadness when her cat died.
@mbglosser That's all well and great but how does evolution explain the fact that humans create, explain, build, innovate, etc? How does it explain how different we are from apes? Like how we feel shame, empathy, love, etc?
@doritoesPLAY We evolved like all other living creatures on this planet. Who's saying we didn't get assistance from ET as well. But yes, I am certain evolution isn't a theory but a fact.
@jmitterii2 That's all well and great but how does evolution explain the fact that humans create, explain, build, innovate, etc? How does it explain how different we are from apes? Like how we feel shame, empathy, love, etc?
@shlunko can i askyou a question about the age of the earth? Iwhat makes people believe these dating methods theyve used to date the earth are correct? i read that they would do several datings to get the date of something. so does that mean it isnt accurate? I ask you because you seem like you have this stuff down pretty good. I know a lot of basis for saying we evolved is because of the species being more simple the further down you go.does that mean the core of the earth is older than the top
@hiks45 No, it's not true. It's a theory which fails to explain how and why the human brain is so different from all other creatures on Earth. I never said women are made of ribs so stop assuming shit.
@doritoesPLAY If you do, you don't understand evolution. No one has ever claimed that people have come from monkey's. Merely that Monkey's, apes and so on have have come from a simlilar ancestor as humans. There is a difference, if you can't understand the difference, I feel sorry for you.
Ben Stien is a blind man without a dick. He can't feel or see the need, but accuse's everyone else of being blind and senceless, simply because he can not understand their view point
That's all well and great but how does evolution explain the fact that humans create, explain, build, innovate, etc? How does it explain how different we are from apes? Like how we feel shame, empathy, love, etc?
"Darwinism cannot explain gravity, it cannot explain thermal dynamics, it can't explain how life began."
Yeesh, what a moron. Evolution only deals with allele frequency change in a population over time along with the diversification of all life. It doesn't deal with any of the things that Bum Stein mentioned.
Engergy imputed in time & space ,randomly producing the impossible ie sponataeous generation of life!
Dawkins, in his conversation with Ben Stein went on to suggest that life on earth was "Seeded" by aliens! So he believes in intellegent design but castigates any theistic beginings.
I guess monkey minds haven't evolved yet. Sit in a tree long enough you may grow a tail or feathers? Evolution at its best!
ben stein's ignorance is so infuriating: 'evolution cannot explain gravity or thermodynamics...' well those are subfields of physics, not biology of which evolution is a part, so you wouldn't expect it to be able to explain these phenomena in the same way you wouldn't expect genetics to explain quantum mechanics or supernovae!
Criticizing evolution because it doesn't explain how life began is like criticizing the process of soil erosion because it doesn't explain where dirt comes from.
They aren't talking about science, they are talking about philosophy. So why are you trying to combat their arguments with statements about the nature of science? You don't have to believe in God to understand that science is operating under the cult of Darwinism, which is a religion for some people. But most scientist don't agree with this religious philosophy in the same way they don't agree with having Christianity running science. Instead of taking it personal, how about open your eyes.
No, I'm trying to say that Darwinism is a philosophy that is suspiciously like a religion, and at the same time some people preach a scientific world view as if it is their religion.
@circusOFprecision the only reason u think it's a religion is because it goes against your religion and you think it's one it's self. the only reason evolution is defended so much is because ppl try to ban it in schools so much. if we banned round earthing i would defend that also. ppl probably thought round earthers were religious back then.
I think Darwinism is religion for the same reasons you think Christianity is religion. I don't have a problem with evolutionary theory being taught in school. I have a problem with it being taught as an absolute fact, ignoring any sort of critical analysis and alternative ideas for the problems it holds. If the theory is solid, it will continue to hold up to scrutiny. Let the scrutiny continue is what I say, it's how science progresses.
@circusOFprecision who scrutinies? creationists? the same ppl who bitch about the earth being older than 6,000 years old and thought the earth was flat for thousands of year? evolution is not argued against in science, only morons think it is. also, evolution is a proven fact. please point our these "flaws".
The change of allele frequencies in a population, that is an observed fact. The creation of new races from existing populations is also an observed fact. Common descent is not an observed fact, it is a logical extrapolation based upon philosophical presuppositions. So depending upon what you imply by the term evolution, you may be talking about empirical science or materialistic philosophy.
Common descent, common ancestry, however you want to put it, the idea that we are all progeny of an original life form. Yes, I have heard of dna. It is a molecule with complex specified information in it, aka it contains a language for executing the processes necessary for producing the structures of organisms.
@circusOFprecision my point was that it does't matter what we call things, it's still life. you said a dog never gives birth to a cat, what's your point? also, dna is not a language, only creationists think that.
DNA is a code, plain and simple. Perhaps language is the wrong word to use, but the point still remains that it is a code. Life is life, I don't disagree with that. If we came from apes, then at some point a creature more like an ape than a human had offspring that were more human than ape. How could this not be the case?
@circusOFprecision first of all, we ARE apes. second, if you mean our common ancestors then let me explain.
the next time someone gives birth, the baby we be "more human" then the parents because the definition of human changes all the time. and we today are "more human" than ppl 100 years ago, but 100 years ago they would of been more human than us now. back then that was "more human". the definition changes all the time.
Fine tuned cosmos, golden ratio in quantum structures, conscious awareness, molecular machinery in biological systems, the code of life that is dna, and so forth. These are all very compelling evidences that an intelligent cause has interacted with our universe or is part of our universe. There may also be evolutionary, thus purely natural processes, going on as well. But evolution fails to explain many things.
why would evolution ever want to answer questions about gravity or thermodynamics? aren't those the realms of physics.. not biology. Oh ben stein you foolish foolish old JOO(quoting south park) hopefully you've made enough money from ur movie cause apparently you couldn't retire from the crap you got for making those ANNOYING clear eyes commercials..
No doubt. Almost every person I have met in my life that believes that evolution/ Darwins theories would be the first person to admit that they do not know if "god" exists or not.Unlike a "believer" who absolutely knows. That viewpoint is the closed minded one. Admitting that one simply does not know is the only way to examine all the possibilities.
Ah yes, there is nothing more interesting than watching an alcoholic Mormon with nothing more than a high school education take on hundreds of years of problem solving science... that has successfully solved problems... Nice!
2:30 is false. New Atheists like Richard Dawkins spell out very clearly what their position is on freedom of speech... or the freedom to think. Read the God Delusion and tell me that Atheism is open to the other sides way of thinking. It's only in a Nation based on Christian principles (United States) that we are open to hear both sides of the argument. If atheists had their way, we would be living in a totalitarian society.
@happerz I've read The God Delusion and can tell you that every atheist is open to free speech and the opinions of others. The only reason why people such as Professor Dawkins seem to have little tolerance to people of religion is because he sees no evidence to support any of the statements which they may say in an attempt to persuade him into believing in whatever their religion may be.
Read the book again, Dawkin's is clearly proposing eradication of any faith-based philosophy or intolerance at least. And I live in America. No where in the academic realm, so far as I have seen, has secular-progressives allowed anyone with a different opinion to express their idea apart from a World-Religions class, and that's only if it doesn't impede on other views. To do so would conjure up ridicule at the least, and at best termination of employment ( from anywhere education system).
@happerz That is because my friend, religion is based purely on belief. Science is based purely on evidence; there is absolutely no reason to teach belief based systems, whether religious or not, in school. The only place where religion could be seen fit to be taught would be in a history class teaching the various thousands of myths that are out there.
@shlunko Religion is not based purely on belief, but also on evidence. I don't just trust in God blindly. I have evidence around me to believe that he exists without any evidence to the contrary. I wish science was based purely on evidence. Maybe if people were not in the equation. The problem is that scientists, with their preconceived beliefs, interpret the evidence to fit their beliefs. They try to be objective, but they cannot escaped their own biased opinion.
@happerz Even 'if' Dawkins was against freedom of speech it wouldn't make the slightest difference; Professor Dawkins speaks for himself and for himself only - not the millions of atheists around the world.
If you wish to see what life would be like if ruled by Christian doctrines, merely read a history book showing what Christian nations thought of free speech.
@shlunko First of all, Dawkins is using his authoritative position to influence millions of people that consider him a prominent spokesperson for atheism. Secondly, when examining any system of thought, you have to look at the essence of the philosophy, not the people behind it. To oppress any person would violate the very teachings of Jesus; they are Christian in name, but not in action. To oppress someone is atheistic in name and in action. Natural Selection, survival of the fittest. etc
@happerz If you would have actually listened to Dawkins, you would know that he is highly against natural selection in daily life as a way that society should live. Just because atheists accept theories such as evolution doesn't in any way mean that wish to oppress anyone; such a statement is pure ludicrous.
Read the bible properly, you'll find that God is constantly using his position of authority to influence mass numbers of people as well - and indeed oppressing millions at the same time.
@shlunko How can a Zoologist, Evolutionary Biologist, and Materialist/Naturalist be highly against natural selection, the method that created him? If that is the method that created him, shouldn't that be the driving him? Atheists don't seem to understand that in the absence of God - in a relativistic moral framework - not only have we lost part of ourselves, but we have lost any reference point for morality thus we inevitably must consider Adolf Hitler and Mother Teresa as equals.
@happerz I could kill an innocent man that had a bomb in him in order to save the 10 other innocent people that are around him. Yes, if I was one of the survivors I would be somewhat grateful that I am alive; it does not mean the process which allowed that fact to occur was an absolute joyous occasion. You are jumping to irrational conclusions; I don't know why you think a magical deity is essential for morals to exist.
@shlunko because unless morality transcends ourselves (humans) than everything becomes relative to what we "feel" as individuals, and at that point, who is to say what's right and whats wrong? You think cannibalism is right, and think it's wrong. We can't both be right, because Truth by definition is exclusive. The Moral Law Giver has to transcend humans.
@happerz It is the very basics economics; whatever is good for a society stays and whatever isn't good does not stay, hence the law systems which are built up. If you wish to be a cannibal, by all means. It is not something which is seen as positive for people living in a society so it therefore will not last; the basis of all morals deriving from the evolutionary roots of humans being social animals.
@shlunko You are invoking a moral-frame work based on absolutes while trying to describe how morals arose through naturalism when you say, "whatever is good". And what about abortion? Killing potential children? How does that further a society? Or raping 14 month old children in Southeastern Asia? That doesn't hinder society, in fact, it furthers the economy of such places that are built on child prostitution. How do you determine morality in the [evidence] of such knowledge?
@happerz The rape of and other such crimes like that can potentially shatter society. If it was legal for people to commit such acts, I assure you a lot more would occur. This is obviously something which doesn’t lead to a good society.
Keep in mind that your god knew well before the crime was committed that it would happen. He created the people who do these things with the full knowledge of every slight detail which would occur in their lifetime.
@shlunko Again, you are borrowing from my perspective of absolute morality and saying that "This is obviously something that doesn't lead to a good society". What determines a good society? The guy paid for the girl, she wasn't physically harmed in any way, just sexually ravaged, and he used a condom. No harm done, the society can move forward and no one gets "hurt" And in certain parts of the world, these woman are legally being raped for a living, I assure YOU.
@shlunko "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:16-18 Doesn't sound like oppression to me, but liberation.
@happerz It sounds like a sadomasochistic god to me. The whole story is just ridiculous to say the least. A god who sent down his son to be brutally tortured far beyond your apparent ‘morality’ and then murdered to somehow absolve the ‘sins’ of the people which the very god created.
@shlunko God is perfect. How do you remain perfectly just and perfectly merciful without some intermediary? Out of all the major world religions, Jesus is the only one that came claiming to be the great I AM. No other major world religion has that. Jesus absorbed our sin, and defeated death. He took the punishment so we wouldn't have to. Everyone wants love, even God. Humans long for fellowship and love. That's why the sex-trade is so massive. It's perverted what God intended for good.
@happerz There is nothing else that springs to my mind other than a blood thirsty sadist who would demand a human sacrifice in order to be appeased, then and only then would he be willing to take away the ‘sins’ of the people of whom he had created with full knowledge and intent of what they would do in their life.
@shlunko Are you perfect? Have you ever stolen, lied, cheated, blasphemed the name of God, look at a woman or man with lust, hated someone with malice, or dishonored your parents?
@happerz Whether or not I have blasphemed your god or not is irrelevant; the same goes for looking at somebody with lust or to hate somebody. Just because a book was written several thousand years ago by people in the Middle East, does not make it absolute fact or law. There are thousands upon thousands of religions out there, and you base if somebody is perfect from doing something as ridiculous as looking at somebody with lust or insulting a mythological god.
@happerz My apologies, I merely forgot in the previous statement; no I am not perfect, nobody is as there can be no absolute definition for it and if there was I somewhat doubt I would be it.
@shlunko If you are not perfect, how can a perfect being (perfect in mercy, perfect in justice, perfect in love, etc) bring you into perfection? There is no way a perfectly just being could have perfect mercy on you, unless someone is standing in you place.
@happerz There is nothing that can make me, or anyone else, perfect. Perfect is a point of view, and I would rather be myself than be 'perfect' through the eyes of a sadistic, power mad, intolerant, racist, homicidal tyrant such as your god.
@happerz Could you please explain to me, what relevance does one man out of the countless people that were tortured the same way, have on me? The idea that a god requires a human sacrifice is nothing other than barbaric. I am not attempting to be insulting to your religion, but if you were to think of the Aztecs would demand human sacrifices, everybody suddenly thinks of what a repulsive practise it was; Christianity and the base for almost all religion is built up on the same morals.
@shlunko Jesus had no sin. That's the whole point. Everyone else that died on the cross was sinful. Christ Jesus, God in the flesh, went to the cross willingly and suffered a brutal death so that you and I wouldn't have to. He took the punishment that you and I deserve.
@happerz You cannot tell me that you’ve read the bible through thoroughly and think that it is meant to send a message of love to us. It is full of nothing but violence and a sadistic tyranny ruled over a far too powerful magical being that has yet to have any evidence in favour of it.
@shlunko I have read the Bible. It is a message of love. Read the book of John in the New Testament, and tell me what you think. The Bible is full of violence and tyranny, but not by God. There is wickedness in the world, because of the ruler of this world and because people have free will and are free to make whatever decisions they want, including, raping, murdering, etc. You can't blame God for that.
@happerz There is nothing that can make me, or anyone else, perfect. Perfect is a point of view, and I would rather be myself than be 'perfect' through the eyes of a sadistic, power mad, intolerant, racist, homicidal tyrant such as your god.
@happerz I shall just add in addition to your previous comments. Your bible has nothing against rape and in some passages can be seen as approving it. So tell me why does it disturb you that somebody is being raped over in Asia?
@shlunko Can you show me any scripture that approves rape? It sounds like your missing the entire message of the Bible (or at least misinterpreting it). The central message of the Bible love, it's the story of Jesus, it's redemption, reconciliation, hope, faith, and most importantly, love.
@happerz Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves. – Numbers 31
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her - Deuteronomy 22:28
@happerz Those are just two of quite a large number of passages, If you like I could put a fair bit more but pretty much there is not enough space to place them here.
What kind of god enforces those kinds of laws? Allowing somebody to rape a young girl and 'force' them to be married.
It's rather tedious to try and explain to you the culture behind Judaism, and the proper way to interpret scripture based on the culture of the Jews. Although I found a forum with people discussing it throughly if you want to check it out?
@happerz Having studied the Jewish culture for no less than 10 years as well as several other religions, I am well aware of the various interpretations that different societies and cultures have had on the scriptures.
@shlunko He has propagated the idea to all of his readers (likes my some of my friends) that religion is dangerous and cruel and must not be respected or tolerated. And the evidence is seen in the academic realm where religious teachers cannot give their ideas about what they believe in fear of being fired from their jobs and demonized. The evidence is clear, not in the everyday world (although it could be potentially), but in the academic world - it is rampant.
Both sides are somewhat close minded. That is a fact, however, I can see where they are coming from having been a believer in special creation and a 6,000 year old earth in high school and bringing up evidences FOR a young earth and getting laughed to scorn and ridiculed and not even EXAMINED. Evolutionists, for the most part, are EXTREMELY closed minded.
It amazes me that Stein is so nonchalant is his admittance of being "in trouble" with a vengeful deity. He shows no fear of that vengeance in his admittance/confession. Is it looming doubt? Is he not as staunch in his belief as he is in his conflict? It begs the question of his faith vs his stance against his opposition. He is not following the doctrine of his cult.
He can't fear that which has no precedent because no myth has a precedent. That's why it is a myth.
@turi73 Yeah, an expansion of space-time, supported by natural laws, seems so silly compared to an omnipotent, omniscient being wishing the universe into existance, and then creating man out of dirt. It is YOU who are deceived, my friend.
@TheDrpretorious yea you forgot to mention that expansion of space and time came out of nothing.now thats the silly part.we have never observed a nothing create something.thats how much faith u guys have
@turi73 No this is the silly part, saying that everything has to have a creator except said creator, most theists just think of god as being self existant not realizing that if that were so the universe could be as well.. And even if you think said creator was in turn created by something else you still run into the same problem. That combined with a lack of evidence for said creator brings you to the logical conclusion that he/she/it does not exist.
@TheDrpretorious so basically you are saying that just because we dont have the answer to B,then B cant be the answer to C.we take by faith of our precious Lord Jesus being eternal.you take by faith everything came to be from nothing.we admit our belief is faith, you dont admit your belief is faith.the universe demands a Creator.lack of evidence huh??i think you have the lack of evidence
@turi73 Not exactly, I admit that the scientific explanation of the creation of the universe doesn't answer every question, but I don't fill that void with god, which there is no evidence for. Basicly nobody knows all of the answers, but atheists admit this while theists pretend that they do.
Go Glen beck keep spreading the Truth. evolutionists hate expelled becase it shows how erol aka evolution is a scam. Also there is no such thing as an athiest ALL believe in God
@TheDrpretorious You can lie and say you dont believe i God all you want but me and you know you do. When you decide you want to step out of denial. ask God for wisdom and understanding and read the Bible
@coolvideo28 Dude, get your head out of your ass. I don't believe in god, and I'm not alone. And just because it scares you that you might be wrong doesn't change the fact that there are people who disagree with you. By the way I am reading the bible and it's the most laughable, racist, misogynistic, homophobic book I've ever read.
@TheDrpretorious You do believe in God all do you are trying to remain in denial but you know its not working. Everyone can disagree with me it doesnt matter the Facts are the Facts and ther in Gods word the Bible. The Bible is What God says Goes what man says goes means nothing if it goes against what the Creator/designer of everything says hes in Charge. There is no such thing as a homophobic person because ther is no such thing as a homosexusl just people sinning & please show were its racist
@TheDrpretorious ahhh people who have to lie always swear and call names when they see the Truth. I know I know the Truth hurts but its going to be ok well maybe not for you. I will pray for you so that God can show you the truth
@coolvideo28 You want the truth? The truth is you are a petty, hate-filled delusional, who justifies their intolerance by qouting a millenia old book of fairy tales. End of discussion.
@TheDrpretorious Nope The Creator and Designer of everything knows All the Facts The Truth he tells us all about it in his Word The Bible. read it and you will know the Truth.
@TheDrpretorious The Bible is not just a book its Gods living word. If you just read it it you will not understand it as you read it and ask God for wisdom and understanding he will open it up to you to understand it so much deeper its hard to understand but If your not God Child you will not get most of it. God is holding his arms open wide to you but you need to decide to exept him he wont force you to love him.
@TheDrpretorious I understand you cant handle the Truth, but iu wil make this very simple I only respond to people who write to me So hint hint dont write to me and I wont write back
@TheDrpretorious You are very consistent. very consistent at being wrong. I love you love all thats why I share the truth with everyone who will listen because I found it. often people who havent found the truth think it is impossible to find but its just silly. I am intolerant to lies yes were is this hate you speak of you called me swear words and names not me. The Truth is always the truth no matter if its 6 thousand years old or 1 sec. old
Why should I ask why god did it? Because there is no such thing as god. I wont ever allow my imaginary friend to influence me. Neither should you silly!
neo-darwinism (from which darwin's natural selection is a part) does not pretend to explain start of life.
Now if you want to see how biologist now explain start of life, first seek for Miller experiment, then to see how evolution rised from it, read the book of Maynard-Smith.
Miller, S.L. (1953). A Production of Amino Acids Under Possible Primitive Earth Conditions. Science, 117, 3046, 528-529.
Maynard-Smith, J., & Szathmáry O. (1999). The Origins of Life. Oxford University Press.
okay, i admit, darwinism doesnt explain how life was created, only how to came to be as it is today. but darwinism is a lot more useful than christianity at getting closer to understanding the origins of life.
even if god did create everything, that doesnt answer a thing. what created god?
Maybe you havent hurd how new york times is doing. But you can check out Fox News were Glen beck is on tv ya thats were everyone gets there news from thats why there ratings are threw the Roof. Wow all the Liberal news organisations that No one reads or watchs they are failing because they lie. Just like evolution is a Scam. You want the Truth read the Bible
Woh! Woh! Woh! No evidence for evolution? Really? I want to take a poll of how many youtubers have actually taken a COLLEGE COURSE ON EVOLUTION or if they just get their info from creationist websites and other bogus places. Plus how many of you have the will to sit through the countless articles and journals published on evolution like the hardworking scientists who get bashed everyday by ignorant douchebags and get called liars and cheats for all they hard work. FUCK YOU FROM MY PROFESSOR!
I don't care what you think about God, I can't prove you wrong. But if you believe evolution is a conspiracy or that the earth is only 5000 years old.. Well then I can prove you wrong and you are either an ignoramus or a religious zealot that can't deal with reality.
Evolution IS A BIG FAT LIE.

combatfoot 11 months ago
@combatfoot If you question the theory of evolution, that's great, because critical inquiry is a component of science. If you objectively question your belief in God, you may quickly loose faith. Religion doesn't welcome critical inquiry, and that should tell you something. If someone is hiding something from you behind their back, they wouldn't want you to look. But if someone has nothing to hide, they certainly wouldn't mind. I wish I had learned this when I was your age.

@shlunko Oh Thank God. But then whats with the diagram @ 2:00 ???
doritoesPLAY 1 year ago
@shlunko Then what's up with that diagram @ 2 minutes?
doritoesPLAY 1 year ago
@doritoesPLAY It was meant to be a comical view of the evolution of man; the animal that you're referring to is an image of an early acestor to most likely a large branch of apes - including homo sapiens - with only similar looks to modern species of chimpanzee or even some some forms of monkey. The ape itself was however not a modern monkey as you called it.
shlunko 1 year ago 2
@shlunko Aiight so do people believe we come from APES then?
doritoesPLAY 1 year ago
@doritoesPLAY Some people very well may believe that we 'came' from apes, but the fact is that we are ourselves indeed apes, just like chimpanzees or gorillas, we're just another branch of the evolutionary tree.

doritoesPLAY 7 months ago
@doritoesPLAY we share a common ancestor with apes/monkeys- whatever you want to call them... we did not directly COME from apes... a chimpanzee is an ape .. we are most related to chimpanzees, followed by the rest of the greater apes.. then the lesser apes then other primates.. then other mammals.. then other vertebrates... then other animals and finally .. we are related to.. on the smallest scale.. bacteria... this has all been confirmed through the study of DNA

ben stein's ignorance is so infuriating: 'evolution cannot explain gravity or thermodynamics...' well those are subfields of physics, not biology of which evolution is a part, so you wouldn't expect it to be able to explain these phenomena in the same way you wouldn't expect genetics to explain quantum mechanics or supernovae!

Instead of taking it personal, how about open your eyes.
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision wait, are you trying to say evolution and science is religion?
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
No, I'm trying to say that Darwinism is a philosophy that is suspiciously like a religion, and at the same time some people preach a scientific world view as if it is their religion.
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision the only reason u think it's a religion is because it goes against your religion and you think it's one it's self. the only reason evolution is defended so much is because ppl try to ban it in schools so much. if we banned round earthing i would defend that also. ppl probably thought round earthers were religious back then.
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
Let the scrutiny continue is what I say, it's how science progresses.
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision who scrutinies? creationists? the same ppl who bitch about the earth being older than 6,000 years old and thought the earth was flat for thousands of year? evolution is not argued against in science, only morons think it is. also, evolution is a proven fact. please point our these "flaws".
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
The change of allele frequencies in a population, that is an observed fact. The creation of new races from existing populations is also an observed fact. Common descent is not an observed fact, it is a logical extrapolation based upon philosophical presuppositions. So depending upon what you imply by the term evolution, you may be talking about empirical science or materialistic philosophy.
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision what do you mean by "common descent"? life is life, don't get caught up in what we call things. have you ever heard of dna?
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
Common descent, common ancestry, however you want to put it, the idea that we are all progeny of an original life form. Yes, I have heard of dna. It is a molecule with complex specified information in it, aka it contains a language for executing the processes necessary for producing the structures of organisms.
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision my point was that it does't matter what we call things, it's still life. you said a dog never gives birth to a cat, what's your point? also, dna is not a language, only creationists think that.
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
DNA is a code, plain and simple. Perhaps language is the wrong word to use, but the point still remains that it is a code. Life is life, I don't disagree with that. If we came from apes, then at some point a creature more like an ape than a human had offspring that were more human than ape. How could this not be the case?
circusOFprecision 1 year ago
@circusOFprecision first of all, we ARE apes. second, if you mean our common ancestors then let me explain.
the next time someone gives birth, the baby we be "more human" then the parents because the definition of human changes all the time. and we today are "more human" than ppl 100 years ago, but 100 years ago they would of been more human than us now. back then that was "more human". the definition changes all the time.
FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 1 year ago
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7
Hey man, I get it. You are saying that genetic information is not static. And I don't disagree with you in principle.

Venom1225 1 year ago

Proof of God:
Fine tuned cosmos, golden ratio in quantum structures, conscious awareness, molecular machinery in biological systems, the code of life that is dna, and so forth. These are all very compelling evidences that an intelligent cause has interacted with our universe or is part of our universe. There may also be evolutionary, thus purely natural processes, going on as well. But evolution fails to explain many things.

If atheists had their way, we would be living in a totalitarian society.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz I've read The God Delusion and can tell you that every atheist is open to free speech and the opinions of others. The only reason why people such as Professor Dawkins seem to have little tolerance to people of religion is because he sees no evidence to support any of the statements which they may say in an attempt to persuade him into believing in whatever their religion may be.
shlunko 1 year ago
Read the book again, Dawkin's is clearly proposing eradication of any faith-based philosophy or intolerance at least. And I live in America. No where in the academic realm, so far as I have seen, has secular-progressives allowed anyone with a different opinion to express their idea apart from a World-Religions class, and that's only if it doesn't impede on other views. To do so would conjure up ridicule at the least, and at best termination of employment ( from anywhere education system).
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz That is because my friend, religion is based purely on belief. Science is based purely on evidence; there is absolutely no reason to teach belief based systems, whether religious or not, in school. The only place where religion could be seen fit to be taught would be in a history class teaching the various thousands of myths that are out there.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko Religion is not based purely on belief, but also on evidence. I don't just trust in God blindly. I have evidence around me to believe that he exists without any evidence to the contrary. I wish science was based purely on evidence. Maybe if people were not in the equation. The problem is that scientists, with their preconceived beliefs, interpret the evidence to fit their beliefs. They try to be objective, but they cannot escaped their own biased opinion.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz Even 'if' Dawkins was against freedom of speech it wouldn't make the slightest difference; Professor Dawkins speaks for himself and for himself only - not the millions of atheists around the world.
If you wish to see what life would be like if ruled by Christian doctrines, merely read a history book showing what Christian nations thought of free speech.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko First of all, Dawkins is using his authoritative position to influence millions of people that consider him a prominent spokesperson for atheism. Secondly, when examining any system of thought, you have to look at the essence of the philosophy, not the people behind it. To oppress any person would violate the very teachings of Jesus; they are Christian in name, but not in action. To oppress someone is atheistic in name and in action. Natural Selection, survival of the fittest. etc
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz If you would have actually listened to Dawkins, you would know that he is highly against natural selection in daily life as a way that society should live. Just because atheists accept theories such as evolution doesn't in any way mean that wish to oppress anyone; such a statement is pure ludicrous.
Read the bible properly, you'll find that God is constantly using his position of authority to influence mass numbers of people as well - and indeed oppressing millions at the same time.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko How can a Zoologist, Evolutionary Biologist, and Materialist/Naturalist be highly against natural selection, the method that created him? If that is the method that created him, shouldn't that be the driving him? Atheists don't seem to understand that in the absence of God - in a relativistic moral framework - not only have we lost part of ourselves, but we have lost any reference point for morality thus we inevitably must consider Adolf Hitler and Mother Teresa as equals.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz I could kill an innocent man that had a bomb in him in order to save the 10 other innocent people that are around him. Yes, if I was one of the survivors I would be somewhat grateful that I am alive; it does not mean the process which allowed that fact to occur was an absolute joyous occasion. You are jumping to irrational conclusions; I don't know why you think a magical deity is essential for morals to exist.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko because unless morality transcends ourselves (humans) than everything becomes relative to what we "feel" as individuals, and at that point, who is to say what's right and whats wrong? You think cannibalism is right, and think it's wrong. We can't both be right, because Truth by definition is exclusive. The Moral Law Giver has to transcend humans.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz It is the very basics economics; whatever is good for a society stays and whatever isn't good does not stay, hence the law systems which are built up. If you wish to be a cannibal, by all means. It is not something which is seen as positive for people living in a society so it therefore will not last; the basis of all morals deriving from the evolutionary roots of humans being social animals.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko You are invoking a moral-frame work based on absolutes while trying to describe how morals arose through naturalism when you say, "whatever is good". And what about abortion? Killing potential children? How does that further a society? Or raping 14 month old children in Southeastern Asia? That doesn't hinder society, in fact, it furthers the economy of such places that are built on child prostitution. How do you determine morality in the [evidence] of such knowledge?
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz The rape of and other such crimes like that can potentially shatter society. If it was legal for people to commit such acts, I assure you a lot more would occur. This is obviously something which doesn’t lead to a good society.
Keep in mind that your god knew well before the crime was committed that it would happen. He created the people who do these things with the full knowledge of every slight detail which would occur in their lifetime.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko Again, you are borrowing from my perspective of absolute morality and saying that "This is obviously something that doesn't lead to a good society". What determines a good society? The guy paid for the girl, she wasn't physically harmed in any way, just sexually ravaged, and he used a condom. No harm done, the society can move forward and no one gets "hurt" And in certain parts of the world, these woman are legally being raped for a living, I assure YOU.
happerz 1 year ago
@shlunko "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:16-18 Doesn't sound like oppression to me, but liberation.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz It sounds like a sadomasochistic god to me. The whole story is just ridiculous to say the least. A god who sent down his son to be brutally tortured far beyond your apparent ‘morality’ and then murdered to somehow absolve the ‘sins’ of the people which the very god created.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko God is perfect. How do you remain perfectly just and perfectly merciful without some intermediary? Out of all the major world religions, Jesus is the only one that came claiming to be the great I AM. No other major world religion has that. Jesus absorbed our sin, and defeated death. He took the punishment so we wouldn't have to. Everyone wants love, even God. Humans long for fellowship and love. That's why the sex-trade is so massive. It's perverted what God intended for good.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz There is nothing else that springs to my mind other than a blood thirsty sadist who would demand a human sacrifice in order to be appeased, then and only then would he be willing to take away the ‘sins’ of the people of whom he had created with full knowledge and intent of what they would do in their life.

@shlunko Are you perfect? Have you ever stolen, lied, cheated, blasphemed the name of God, look at a woman or man with lust, hated someone with malice, or dishonored your parents?
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz Whether or not I have blasphemed your god or not is irrelevant; the same goes for looking at somebody with lust or to hate somebody. Just because a book was written several thousand years ago by people in the Middle East, does not make it absolute fact or law. There are thousands upon thousands of religions out there, and you base if somebody is perfect from doing something as ridiculous as looking at somebody with lust or insulting a mythological god.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko you are avoiding the question. I am asking you: Are you perfect? You can use your own standards if you want. Are you blameless?
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz My apologies, I merely forgot in the previous statement; no I am not perfect, nobody is as there can be no absolute definition for it and if there was I somewhat doubt I would be it.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko If you are not perfect, how can a perfect being (perfect in mercy, perfect in justice, perfect in love, etc) bring you into perfection? There is no way a perfectly just being could have perfect mercy on you, unless someone is standing in you place.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz There is nothing that can make me, or anyone else, perfect. Perfect is a point of view, and I would rather be myself than be 'perfect' through the eyes of a sadistic, power mad, intolerant, racist, homicidal tyrant such as your god.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko Nothing except Jesus who died so that you could live.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz Could you please explain to me, what relevance does one man out of the countless people that were tortured the same way, have on me? The idea that a god requires a human sacrifice is nothing other than barbaric. I am not attempting to be insulting to your religion, but if you were to think of the Aztecs would demand human sacrifices, everybody suddenly thinks of what a repulsive practise it was; Christianity and the base for almost all religion is built up on the same morals.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko Jesus had no sin. That's the whole point. Everyone else that died on the cross was sinful. Christ Jesus, God in the flesh, went to the cross willingly and suffered a brutal death so that you and I wouldn't have to. He took the punishment that you and I deserve.
happerz 1 year ago
@happerz You cannot tell me that you’ve read the bible through thoroughly and think that it is meant to send a message of love to us. It is full of nothing but violence and a sadistic tyranny ruled over a far too powerful magical being that has yet to have any evidence in favour of it.
shlunko 1 year ago
@shlunko I have read the Bible. It is a message of love. Read the book of John in the New Testament, and tell me what you think. The Bible is full of violence and tyranny, but not by God.

TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious yea you forgot to mention that expansion of space and time came out of nothing.now thats the silly part.we have never observed a nothing create something.thats how much faith u guys have
turi73 1 year ago
@turi73 No this is the silly part, saying that everything has to have a creator except said creator, most theists just think of god as being self existant not realizing that if that were so the universe could be as well.. And even if you think said creator was in turn created by something else you still run into the same problem. That combined with a lack of evidence for said creator brings you to the logical conclusion that he/she/it does not exist.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious so basically you are saying that just because we dont have the answer to B,then B cant be the answer to C.we take by faith of our precious Lord Jesus being eternal.you take by faith everything came to be from nothing.we admit our belief is faith, you dont admit your belief is faith.the universe demands a Creator.lack of evidence huh??i think you have the lack of evidence
turi73 1 year ago
@turi73 Not exactly, I admit that the scientific explanation of the creation of the universe doesn't answer every question, but I don't fill that void with god, which there is no evidence for. Basicly nobody knows all of the answers, but atheists admit this while theists pretend that they do.

Go Glen beck keep spreading the Truth. evolutionists hate expelled becase it shows how erol aka evolution is a scam. Also there is no such thing as an athiest ALL believe in God

@coolvideo28 You are so full of shit. Here, I'll prove you wrong right now. I don't believe in god. Therefore there is such a thing as an atheist.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious You can lie and say you dont believe i God all you want but me and you know you do. When you decide you want to step out of denial. ask God for wisdom and understanding and read the Bible
coolvideo28 1 year ago
@coolvideo28 Dude, get your head out of your ass. I don't believe in god, and I'm not alone. And just because it scares you that you might be wrong doesn't change the fact that there are people who disagree with you. By the way I am reading the bible and it's the most laughable, racist, misogynistic, homophobic book I've ever read.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious You do believe in God all do you are trying to remain in denial but you know its not working. Everyone can disagree with me it doesnt matter the Facts are the Facts and ther in Gods word the Bible. The Bible is What God says Goes what man says goes means nothing if it goes against what the Creator/designer of everything says hes in Charge. There is no such thing as a homophobic person because ther is no such thing as a homosexusl just people sinning & please show were its racist

@coolvideo28 Again, get your head out of your ass.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious ahhh people who have to lie always swear and call names when they see the Truth. I know I know the Truth hurts but its going to be ok well maybe not for you. I will pray for you so that God can show you the truth
coolvideo28 1 year ago
@coolvideo28 You want the truth? The truth is you are a petty, hate-filled delusional, who justifies their intolerance by qouting a millenia old book of fairy tales. End of discussion.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious Nope The Creator and Designer of everything knows All the Facts The Truth he tells us all about it in his Word The Bible. read it and you will know the Truth.
coolvideo28 1 year ago
@coolvideo28 I have read it. In fact reading the bible straight through is part of what made me decide to be an atheist.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious The Bible is not just a book its Gods living word. If you just read it it you will not understand it as you read it and ask God for wisdom and understanding he will open it up to you to understand it so much deeper its hard to understand but If your not God Child you will not get most of it. God is holding his arms open wide to you but you need to decide to exept him he wont force you to love him.
coolvideo28 1 year ago
@coolvideo28 Listen to me very closely, FUCK OFF! I'm tired of hearing your bull shit.
TheDrpretorious 1 year ago

coolvideo28 1 year ago
@TheDrpretorious You are very consistent. very consistent at being wrong. I love you love all thats why I share the truth with everyone who will listen because I found it. often people who havent found the truth think it is impossible to find but its just silly. I am intolerant to lies yes were is this hate you speak of you called me swear words and names not me. The Truth is always the truth no matter if its 6 thousand years old or 1 sec. old

This guy is a moron. Should we discount the Theory of Gravity because it doesn't explain thermodynamics?
Evolution doesn't pretend to touch on any of those subjects. That's why it's Darwin's Theory of Evolution, and not Darwin's Theory of Everything.
It merely accounts for inter and intra species variation.
And it's supported by more than Darwin.
2MassEffect2 2 years ago
neo-darwinism (from which darwin's natural selection is a part) does not pretend to explain start of life.
Oxford University Press.
andyoupretendtoknow 2 years ago
okay, i admit, darwinism doesnt explain how life was created, only how to came to be as it is today. but darwinism is a lot more useful than christianity at getting closer to understanding the origins of life.
even if god did create everything, that doesnt answer a thing. what created god?

Woh! Woh!
