So do the traces of thermite found at the scene and the fact that a 47 story building fell in a matter of seconds without having been hit by a plane. The final NIST report concludes that for 2.2 seconds WTC 7 fell at free fall speed. The only way a building can fall without meeting resistance is if the columns fail simultaneously. The only way for this to happen is through the use of demolition charges. A controlled demolition is the ONLY possible explanation for WTC 7's collapse.

@Avidsh21 A building that size doesn't need explosives to vaporise concrete if it were to collapse. The amount of potential energy contained in such a structure is equivalent to a small nuclear bomb. The sheer weight of every level collapsing against another is enough to crush concrete.

The massive steel frames - that had supported all the concrete in the first place - had no reason to completely give way without the aid of explosives.

@Avidsh21 Did you ever have a physics class? Potential energy is the energy stored in a body or in a system due to its position in a force field (earth's gravity) or due to its configuration. The potential energy contained in the structure, when collapsing is more than enough to pulverize anything. Also, the massive steel frames lost their rigidity after being exposed to the fires, causing the collapse in the first place.

@Avidsh21 Oh, you're finally resorting to the use of sophisms. I didn't see that coming. Again, you don't need to weaken the whole building to make it collaspe. The fire weakened the metal over a few levels. When the metal couldn't support the weight the levels above it, it bent, transferring the weight of 20 levels to the next level, which couldn't support it either, transferring the weight of 21 levels to the next etc. Plus, you're a bit late. The new trend is not explosives, it's thermite.
