Im trying to apply for game development after I graduate and I heard that it also is really time consuming. I personally am a hard worker so I willing to go the extra mile.
One thing you learn fast at this school is that you have to fight to keep your personality. This school will literally suck the life out of you. Those who willingly give up there life to make life live through there creations. You have to have fun everday and mix it up. I do agree with the CreativeItch when he says critiques don't make sense unless they have an impact. You have to keep on keepin on. This school is like a theme park, you may love rollercoasters...but youll hate some rides.
I was wondering what is your mission with these videos? don't get me wrong they are cool to watch and your first videos were helpful. im in my first month and i love the school. i was just wondering what are you going to do with theses videos when you graduate?
My mission? Simply to give people information from a real students point of view. There wasn't much information when I was looking into the school, so I do this so people can get a better idea....If my videos are even the slightest bit helpful, my mission is accomplished.
I'm gonna keep my videos and see how much I've changed and look back on my experience.
So I might have missed the video but did you make a clay sculpture yet? I remember seeing them on the tour of the campus and just wondered about it. Has there been any good guest speakers visiting? Alright man I look forward to the next episode.
You'll make some sculptures your second and third month inside your traditional art classes at the beginning. The ones you're talking about are in Animation Production which modelers are the only ones requires to design sculptures.
Keep the videos coming man. Thank you for the honesty and these videos get me excited to attend. I look forward to seeing your work and seeing your progression. Have you done any group projects yet? What about any campus experiences? How's the food? Alright man good luck.
I'll keep em coming, I'm glad they help out. I haven't worked on any group projects but they're coming. The campus is pretty boring, occasionally you'll see an asshole doing donuts in the parking lot in the middle of the night, but nothing exciting. The food is over priced, but the coffee is good. - Good luck man.
Gotta tell ya. If they treat me like crap when i get to that class then i most likely not be able to keep quiet. I cant let people treat me that way and keep my mouth shut about it. Thanks for the heads up though. good luck for the next 2 and a half weeks.
I don't let them get to me, I just want the school to meet expectations. I think some turn over within the staff for that department would be proactive. If they don't want to be here, bring in someone who does.
oh i know it was gonna happen in one class. I would like to think i pick up vibes pretty good so ill weed them out hopfully. Im barely in my first month so...yea i got a ways to go.

Don't be scared, stay excited. It's a lot of work, but the bigger picture makes it worth it.

Stay professional, don't lower yourself to their standards. They're only hurting themselves.

Up all night, it's 8:05 in the morning and you have to be in class by 9??? That's crazy

That's how it is here, especially in computer animation and game art, it's a lot of work.

It's not so bad, they're lab instructors, and honestly, they're expendable. You'll be fine, just avoid the unprofessional ones.
