  • But if God made the universe 6000 years ago...... how has the light from objects millions of light years away gotten to us yet?

  • @tidby Maybe God made it possible so we can enjoy the starry sky.

  • @tidby 5772 years ago. But this is only an estimated and counted number written in the Bible. Before the mankind the time was count by noone, 1 year seemed to be 1 billion etc.

  • This is simply amazing. I wish I could live forever just to witness man developing enough technology to take us out of our own galaxy and maybe find other earth-like planets...

  • I want to see another creature of the universe in another Solar System

  • What if the largest galaxy (IC 1101), have civilizations on it that fight to colonize the entire galaxy? Even at warp-speed, it would still take them millions if not billions of years, to discovered everything in that galaxy alone.

  • How do they get a picture of our galaxy when were inside it?

  • @YamiPoyo This is a great question. We can see well into our own galaxy to understand what it looks like. However, the Galaxy pictures you see of the Milky Way are made up, to match our own observations. A real map of our own galaxy only shows about 50% of the entire galaxy which Hubble, Spitzer, Keplar, and Chandra all combined their images together to make. Knowing what our side of the galaxy looks like, we just duplicated it over to the other side into a 3D composite.

  • nice music settling

  • Amazing

  • Can you say impossible that we're alone?

  • MIND = BLOWN

  • Then if humans didn't who did?

  • Thanks for this impressive video. im glad i can input the contence.

  • 1:40...I seriously reconsidered my life after viewing this...makes you think really deep. I mean that star is MASSIVE and yet its still so small. The universe is so massive your mind cant really process it.

  • how can u not believe in god.....

  • @TheTalalm How can you believe there is one when all the books describing his various aspects and deeds are completely lacking in any recognition in the size and scope of what is supposedly "His" creation. The actual universe makes any of the Gods yet described by human imagination weep for their own inadequacies.

  • @metalElvalover humans cannot create the universe....someone is controlling it alll obviously....atoms,cells,iniverse you just have to open your mind.

  • @TheTalalm There's no evidence for control in any sense of the word. Other than the basic intrinsic characteristics of the fundamental particles and their interactions which we interpret (perhaps mistakenly) as laws, which unfortunately implies intelligence. If you open your mind to far, your brain will fall out.

  • @TheTalalm Also, I never insinuated humans created the universe.

  • lol i compared my self.. with the earth... i thought'' damn bro, earth is huge.. '' then when i saw the Sun next to the fucking biggest star known... i was like '' WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING!''

  • @olitoli123 haha, word.

  • @metalElvalover yah man.. xD

  • But what about the ticket I have to pay.

  • This is the most inspiring video I have ever watched and I will never forget it

  • after watching this i gave up religion.

i mean really whats the point of ANY religion if we are

    this small.

  • pan pipes FTW ;)

  • Great video, I only hope humans will discover how to travel faster then light before we destory ourselfs in the petty wars between our goverments. I think on that day we will learn we are not alone and the entire world will change over night... Good Job with the vid........

  • I finally know why deadmau5 named one of his songs HR 8398 CEPHEI

  • Good job with the video and music.

  • song is an adaption of /watch?v=E-z7M3FZv4E

  • and this is not including the microcosm

  • This TRULY AMAZED me! I had no idea that there's galaxies that are like 100 times the size of the Milky Way. I am just truly fascinated by space & what it all holds.

  • Amazing

  • .... There's a mistake I think , I THINK! That the previous stars and planets are over there << But the Jupiter is in the Milky Way Galaxy is 120.000? Lol ... Just wonderin.. Meaning the were 120.000 from the VY Canis Major

  • なんて大きさなんだ・・・・。うまく言葉で表現できない。

    音楽と相まって涙出てきた。

  • Jeez.. and we humans used to fight eachother about space and land. Why can't we humans settle and establish a new civilization on the planet VY CANIS MAJORIS. I think we all would have got along then. Enough space for everybody (y)

  • @PhamvanDong i dont think that u want to live on VY Canis Majoris its a star

  • @PhamvanDong maybe because vy canis majoris is a star you moron.

  • This is not 100% accurate

The milky way is 100000 light years not 120000

Andromeda is 200000 light years not 150000

tarantula nebula is 1000 light years not 500

The sun is white not yellow.

Alpha centauri A is blue white not yellow

Alpha centauri B is yellow not orange

  • @soURfunnyYOUthink its on the video info

has been included since FOREVER and i also wrote ***READ THIS BEFORE ASKING ANYTHING***

  • Great video! I am impressed that you didn't get the light travel time radius of the universe and the actual metric diameter of the universe confused, and that you have the correct estimate for the diameter of the observable universe as well. That nearly always is quoted incorrectly. Great video, thanks for putting it together.

  • Wonderful.

    ThankYou

    I wrote the Great Spirit

    BobbyBaxter HCVeteran&MarihuanaFelon

  • Creepy audio choice.

  • @EpicSundae fag

  • I think we are made just in a right measure. We can study single atoms as well as the whole universe. By the way, have you thought about comparising things "the opposite way"? Atom - electron - nucleus - etc tec... still infinite.

  • Super awesome comparison

  • Nice video, beautiful song!!

  • Thank you very much for this great effort.

    I truly feel I am 10 000 000 000 times SMALLER now !!!

Its just funny how guys seem to care a lot about the size of that thing so much ;-) .

  • cool video

  • incredible.

  • ........mean while, in an unknown galaxy

  • how can't 76 people like this?? damn you dogmatic people

  • Don't be frightened about the size of the universe or anything about it you don't understand. Without the mystery, would anyone agree life would just be empty and pointless? Human nature is naturally curious. There is so much to explore and to discover; there will never be a shortage of new things.

  • look infinity is not a number it means never-ending our entire planet is just a tiny piece of rubber to the universe the human brain is small and inunderstandable so no human can understand infinity or the cosmatic sizes infinity is not the speed of light infinity is unimaginable our tiny brains will never understand infinity

  • how big the universe is , there is an equal infinite small. Mind blown

  • VEGA is star , LOL

  • 2:15 Eye of dah cat (left) No... Thats not it!

Theres a ring at the left, And The eye of sauron at the right

Damn! Space can be sooooo Lord of the rings!

  • cool

  • But even if the speed of light is a big number, divided by infinity it equals to 0 ..... so the lenght of the universe it's equal to 0? it's absurd

  • @dyazRO : infinity/infinity is not zero, it's undefined!!

  • @19a14j5e22a14 no the speed of light is a number not infinity. And any number divided by infiniti equals to 0

  • Our minds are not designed to understant the infinity....ok or maybe not yet.But I don't see how a number,a word,a picture,a equation can be equal to the infinity of the universe. As we know here on the Earth, anything has a begining and an ending.I mean if you have a string, you can know both it's begining and it's ending even if it is thousand miles long. But try to measure the infinity....it would take an infinite time.So the infinite distance is=speed of light/infinite time.

  • To think that space is infinite blows my mind. We're temporary life forms which leads me to think what happens after our deaths.. Our brain shuts down & along with it our soul? We become nothing??! Everyone lives their life & that's all we get so enjoy it. I always think about this stuff when I smoke weed. I love weed lol but you gotta look at the reality of the "universe" & our luck to be alive. Life is astounding.

  • Yeah, so 1 million galaxies for every maggot-sized human? Massive 50-FUCKING BULLSHIT 50 that half of those galaxies are uninhabitated >:L

  • So what is behind the universe? :)

  • What you all need to understand is that all this mass is necessary for life to exist. If there was slightly less mass, no elements heavier than helium would have formed. Too much mass and no element lighter than iron could have formed. An analogy would be to take an aircraft carrier and scrap a fleck of paint off the side and that would render the ship useless. If you could have extracted (or added) a dime's worth of mass from the universe just after the creation event, life would not exist.

  • This sends chill down my spine.

  • what's with the chinese buffet music?

  • I liked this video. It not only shows how small we are but also how big we are. With all the barren worlds and galaxies out there ours supports life. What is the use of big if there is noone out there to enjoy it.

The music sounds like Christy Moore's "Ride On".

  • This vid scared me...We are so insignificant! But also....The creepy music...

    Good vd tho

  • Wow the universe is so big. But GOD knows the number of hairs on your head.

  • Well THIS was a bit depressing...

  • Oh My gods!

  • It really start at 1:55

  • What's the name of that music?

  • Finally something bigger than my penis

  • why do the orbits in our solar system not follow the same direction?

  • One theory suspects that are universe is just ONE TINY DROP in the cosmos and there are other universes among this world with complete different structures.

  • @xChiyukix and thats all inside one dimension there are 11 different dimensions so there may be even larger one out there

  • VERY COOL VIDEO KEEP IT UP

  • Planets can only get up to 2000000 km in Diameter. Stars can get up to 20000000000 km and Galaxies can get as big as 10000000 light years. A Quazer is so so so so so so so long that it can not even be measured in light years. I'm serious. so imagine how big the universe is.

  • I'M THE 4000TH PERSON WHO LIKED THIS!

  • we are still in the dark when it comes to the infinite of space. i truly believe that we are in a natural infancy:we've only evolved so far. we are the "other" life in space;just haven't gotten around to getting there as of yet. by the way, what is the name of the music scoring?-artist's name??

  • @eryops56 Celtic Panpipes - Ride on.. And it stands in the desciption :P

  • humble is the only word

  • i love thsi video for 3 reasons

    1. i love the informative and acurate comparison on the video <3 we are small but i know we are not the oly civilized planet out there if we were wed be lonely in a forgoten corner of the universe

2.i love the background music <3 if i cant sleep i turn this video on ^O^

    3. i love seeing peoples opinions in the comments and how everyone sticks up for their own opinion

thank you for reading this :) now what u doin down here go back up and watch again

  • You forgot somes and theres a bigger planet named WASP-17b.

  • Amazing.. I'm speechless!

  • Dude, this video makes me feel less than nothing... WE ARE NOT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

  • @asfruda WELL YOU SHOULD!

We people, on with our busy little lives, and busy little jobs, thinking we've gone right by ouselves, thinking we are somebody...

BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS OF WORLDS, BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS OF TWINKLING LITTLE STARS, AND IF ONE OF THOSE STARS GO OUT, DO YOU THINK ANYBODY WILL NOTICE?

... and if stars can pass out like that, then who the fuck do we think we are to consider ouselves worth sucking down the air we breathe?

WE ARE NOT EVEN LIKE ANTS IN THE COSMOS!

  • @asfruda - Correction... YES YOU ASFRUDA ARE THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE! YES INDEED YOU ARE.

  • Lame, I thought this video would show a few super-structures (walls, filaments, voids, galaxy clusters, etc.)

    Those are my favorite :(

  • watch?v=eP4MtUOcmCs

    Mine is better

  • Incredible upload!

  • how can some people think that earth is the only planet with life on it is beyond my comprehension when you see how big the (visible) universe is!

I wish I would exist in a time where we would know a lot more about the universe or maybe even as an entity not enclosed by space and/or time!

  • @xetrius its possible that there is noone out there too. For Example, our solar system. Scientists still struggle to find a similair solar system like ours.

  • @Keylooh yeah when you look for human like creatures indeed but I'm talking about life as a whole and maybe our knowledge of what is needed for life to exist is false maybe life on a other planet lives of other things then oxygen and water and who know maybe even move trough solids, as long as we haven't been there we may not say that there is none, cause the only question that brought us where we are today is "what if" we dare to dream of thing not yet found, made, envisioned or achieved.

  • video is too fast. its awesome but too fast slow down the slideshow and let the song play twice.

besides that awesome video thanks for uploading.

  • @Keylooh Mute the video and press pause? Play the song in the background yourself, would also be an option!

  • @xetrius y maybe.

  • absolutely right..

  • Meh. You say the universe is incomprehensibly big, I say the universe is incomprehensibly small. Potato, potäto.

  • @Thantophobia1 im drunk, you don't have an excuse

  • fuck, this song is awesome

  • I think have some ailan make a clip ''my planet very little'' and upload on youtube of them planet

    ps.my eng is suck

  • THATS HUGE!

  • Statics: Great video

Worst Part- The largest stars are not all M class specified. (from mu cep to vy cma)

    Rating: 9.5/10

  • the universe is unimaginable as well as the moon, pluto, the sun,vy canis majoris and many more

  • the universe contains objects extremely big but has anybody thinked about the size of the universe . the biggest objects in the universe are extremely tiny to life forms bigger than the universe if they existed . there are many life forms in the universe if we could survive in extremely hot places and extremely cold places and could breathe in any kind of air and if we were extremely fast and if had the power to fly in super speed w could see the entire universe.

  • One day, a few millions yrs and our descendant will discover. Who knows? And they migt creayed dinosaurs by an experiment just like we putting bacteria on Moon and Mars hoping they germinate.

  • i ilked the "known universe' map. that was very interesting
