I scored this fight 115-112 for B-Hop. Calzaghe throws a lot of punches but they are ALL slaps and shouldn't count for anything when they land, let alone when 75% of them miss. B-Hop threw the harder more accurate shots and should have earned this decision.

The fights with Tarver and Johnson were mandatory for Chad. Joe didn't fight Tarver, Johnson or Dawson...he retired and for that we don't really know how good Joe was!! He should of retired after fighting a prime champion in Dawson, like Hopkins proved by beating Kelly Pavlik...as you can see the better boxers are still fighting!! Joe isn't!!
Calzaghe had nothing left to prove-undefeated after 46. If the likes of Pavlik (who isn't that good) or Froch (who isn't that good) or Dawson (is isn't that good) could have offered a decent challenge to Calzaghe, then he may have taken it.
And you may say that we can never know that for sure - that is a fair point - but having watched all of those fighters many times, I feel confident that Calzaghe would have beaten all of them.
Let's see what Pavlik, Dawson and Froch do in the long run - I guarantee they wont have anywhere near the same amount of success that Calzaghe had.

y was hopkins so contempt with throwing so few punches,and surely freddy roach must have seen that his punch output per round,was never going to get him anywhere in terms of winning the fight,,from what ive seen of this fight,hopkins looks way to nervous and on edge to engage and let the punches go,hence all the holding and running backwards,also y wasnt the fight stopped when calzaghe hurt hopkins with a perfectly legit body shot as the replays showed it to be,and not a low blow,

The fights with Tarver and Johnson were mandatory for Chad. Joe didn't fight Tarver, Johnson or Dawson...he retired and for that we don't really know how good Joe was!! He should of retired after fighting a prime champion in Dawson, like Hopkins proved by beating Kelly Pavlik...as you can see the better boxers are still fighting!! Joe isn't!!

Calzaghe had nothing left to prove-undefeated after 46. If the likes of Pavlik (who isn't that good) or Froch (who isn't that good) or Dawson (is isn't that good) could have offered a decent challenge to Calzaghe, then he may have taken it.
Fact is, they aren't in the same class.

And you may say that we can never know that for sure - that is a fair point - but having watched all of those fighters many times, I feel confident that Calzaghe would have beaten all of them.
Let's see what Pavlik, Dawson and Froch do in the long run - I guarantee they wont have anywhere near the same amount of success that Calzaghe had.

You can't seem to accept that Calzaghe was the best at the time. I'm not saying he is the best ever, but at the time he was the best.
If there was anyone worthy of a fight against Joe Calzaghe, he would have taken it - there was no one good enough.
