  • between this one and meego, meego is much better

    you guys should try

  • Wlan not working on eee 1001HA

  • if theres really gonna be a good netbook os based on linux it has to be Jolicloud- played round with it and it is great. does everything you want it to an the os looks good. ~It be nice to have the taskbar on the bottom like windows tthough-maybe mobil shoud have theres like apple? Jolicloud really is top though and everyone should try it!

  • Iv been testing Moblin 2.0 on my eee pc 900a for the last 3 days and although its a good concept there are so many small issues it adds up to one really weak OS. firstly, the browser, the key components in a NETbook,,is terrible! really terrible! they should of used normal FF3 not a stripped down mess. then theres "myzone" that cannot be customized so is flawed. loads of small problems also, the icons are not as idiot proof as they could be,,,, the list of problems is long!! use U-NBR instead.

  • how do i delete browsing and app history from the zones ?

  • Yea, you have valid points. I completely agree.

  • How loong will the battery last on this distro ?

  • looks nice, but how is the youtube video playback performance like?

  • Nice... but looks very buggy, even for a beta. Some interface re-design is also needed. I mean... slow videos, slow picture navigation, semi-working sound? Come on Linux is better than this.

  • looks pretty buggy but the new interface is promising. although, the real question is whether a regular consumer would be happy with it?

  • Could be good enough for my notebook - that is only used for note(s) and not real work anyway ....

  • looks nice for me , better like ubuntu for me on netbook .

  • I wonder will it be better than UNR (i switched back to regular ubuntu, didn't like the customized interface).

Moblin's obvious advantage is that it's made by the same company that makes the netbooks' guts:)

    As for windows ...

    :P

  • I have yet to try UNR, though I used Ubuntu for years. Can't say which will be better. I definitely prefer the interface and speed of Moblin though.

  • I like the concept, but I don't see me letting go of Windows for anything like this.
