IDK? My ps2 has been through hell. actually i was at a gamestop (i dont know if they have them where you live) and a PS3 was messed up really badly and they said it was because it was left on all day and it was really hot in the small plastic case they had it in. i have all 3 systems (xbox360,ps3,wii)(dont believe me if you dont want to) and they all have worked perfectly since day one. in my opinion its how you treat it.

Possibly, the 360 does sell better but most people don't know or don't bother to take in consideration it's rather horrible reliability when choosing their long-term gaming system.
