Not to sound like a douche but Red Hot probably wouldn't have lasted if they would have stuck with this type of music even though it is great. Funk (Sadly) was fading away from society so Red Hot had to make the change in their music. We all wish music was like this but now pop music filled with AutoTune has taken over. *Sigh* Red Hot are one of the few rock bands still alive. So how about we keep it alive and take every step and change they make as a team.

They evolved from the tipic rebel skater school boy who loves california beach, to the veterans they are now. They became more a rock band, with this evolution. Californication is a poor album, saw them on that tour and John was doing single note solos cause he couldnt play after years of substance abuse. The real chilis died in 91 my friend.

@birum18 i never said anywhere that Cali was infact better than BSSM, and for an album to be "better musically" is way to broad of a term to be able to tell someone for sure that one thing is better than something else. A bluesy ballad on Cali like Scar Tissue is musically more complex in some ways but different in others compared to a ballad on BSSM like I could have Lied, yet i personally couldnt write one off and say one is better than the other because really its personal preference
