first person doesn't really work with standard keyboard, in order for first person to really work you'd need almost virtual reality, because in this game where you slash would make a difference, angle, speed, power etc. If you want a game like this pick up a kendo sword...

Mortal Online is in early stage of development (tho it released). Almost everybody says: "go play darkfall instead of this shit" But darkfall WAS 6 YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT this game is about 1 or 2 years in development so leave it be and let it develop....oh and btw although all videos looks crappy the game IS worth playing... Some facts..

Game is empty atm, no content at all, all people do is ganking and crafting. The game is bugged beyond hell, and devs have yet not succeed to fix it. There is no lore, quests or any social tools like friend list ect.

GMs and Mods are "volunteers", resulting in really amateur work. Game includes some really annoying and unfinished features like thievery. Think twice before buying it.

Doing the same single, repetitive slashes/stabs over and over again? This game fails. I mean look at it, hit and run tactics for combat? That's not smooth combat, it's too choppy. The sword play in combat is an absolute fail. The 'Jedi Knight' series is WAY better and that game is like 4 years old? No gaming skill involved with this bullshit type of combat. Just run in and hope that you're going to get the first hit in. the game devs should really take some serious notes off Jedi Knight series.

... Actually if you fought with a sword, you dont want to stay in the persons swing range, but onto something a bit more important. Backing off is the best way to avoid a hit, usually this is what people do. I usually block and press on my advantage, or use two swords and strike twice fast and dodge around to the side. There is strategy involved, but I will admit. It does need work (especially in the blocking Depo)

I have VERY high hopes for this game. Most likely going to buy it because it's so unique to these crappy WoW/Japanese MMOs which do all the same crap (Gring, kill X amount of Y then DO IT AGAIN! Etc).

To be honest, this game is really very reminiscent of Two Worlds, and that game was an complete and total failure. I don't know how I feel about how dark the game is because you have a helmet, and the first person aspect of it is kinda iffy...

WoW has set the pace for many MMO's for a HUGE factor of reasons, and is probably one of the most successful games in the history of video games. With nearly 13 million players, each paying $14.99 a month, that's an astronomical income for Blizzard.

The problem with a beautiful looking game is few people people can play it, because they need a good system. I think you need to stop being such a close-minded prick, and stfu urself.

Success and popularity don't really mean quality/ enjoyable gameplay. WoW is what i tend to call 'the MMO equivalent of the Twilight books'. It gives people what they want, cheap excitement, the fake belief in their own 'ownage'. Makes them think they are good at games just cos they have a high level/good equip they farmed for ages. This isn't exactly what makes the players GAMERS, as many WoWers refer to themselves.

The game looks good, it has promise, but despite it still being in Beta Status they have a long range of problems they need to fix and improve. Sadly SV has gone on to admit that most of the stuff they've promised will not happen within the first year of its launch. Only 'basic' functions of the game, which basically means PVP and a lot of pretty terrain to explore...

Yo, you can decapitate part or bodies. If you saw some other video, you would see that you can cut the head off from a player and play soccer with it so there are gore. Not only blood. But, i dont think body part can explode like in fallout, but they are using sword so just cutting off is enough.

Dont worry, its realist. There is no grind and you can kill players fast like in mount and blade. Hell, its even more realistic because if you get hit while you are on your mount, you can get drop from your mount with 0 stamina left.
