Trivium is technically more talented than metallica.

Matt Haefy's clean voice(HIS REAL FUCKIN CLEAN VOICE NOT HIS MONOTONE SINGING ON THE NEW ALBUM) is better than James', if you don't believe me listen to "The End" off of the Roadrunner All star sessions record.

Metallica's riffs are simpler than triviums, but really they're different styles.
