  • Awsome guitar player. Too bad he can't sing for s**t.

  • @gchapman1211 ..I guess that's just a matter of personal opinion, personally I love Neil Young's voice.

  • @gchapman1211 looks like you have no idea what you have commented on this awesome artist... i dunno how you describe a good singer... you can not be a critic if you do not know how it goes... just listen and enjoy dude stop hating...

  • My close friend Mylan Pakes lost his final appeal and is currently doing a clife sentense in california departmen of corrections. I was on a yard with him for a couple years a few years ago. He could play this song with his cheap acoustic and sing with pipes that'd make you cry. He got his third strike for not stopping when blue lighted, but insted driving on a few blocks home 'cause he expected to get arrested but didn't want his truck impounded. Sometimes life isn't fair...

  • best song evr made.

  • Skynrd was dead long before the plane fell

  • neil HARDLY wrote this for Skynyrd.they hated each other.......

  • @emaclynch Ronnie and Neil actually became good friends and their "feud" was just in a song. the misunderstood friendship between Ronnie VanZant and Neil Young became comical for the two at times, and Ronnie was known to wear Neil Young concert tees at Skynyrd concerts to "F*ck with yahoos in the crowd", and Neil and other members of Crazy would sport Skynyrd tees on stage. I'm sure it was great laughs all around. Need proof? Look closely at Ronnie on the cover of "Street Survivors".

  • @lien0569 Ronnie is alledged to have been buried in that "Tonight's the Night" T-shirt he wears on the cover of that glowing album. "Each morning as I wake up to rise, I'm livin' in a dream land."

  • sad song. Beautiful

  • Is it true Neil wrote this for lynyrd Skynyrd but never got to give it to them before the plane crash in 77?

  • @dirmo77 Neil Young recorded the song and sent the tape to Ronnie Van Zant.

Van Zant died and Lynyard Skynyrd never recorded the song

  • Very cool! I've been looking for a nice acoustic version. Key change from the electric version on Rust Never Sleeps.

  • # 1!!!!!
