@gregolol777 how do I mod that? well its abit diff for me. Ive gt GMA 3150... it should be better than a GMA 950, but it aint. It freezes when I go outside, i cant even start the 2nd mission because the helicopter scene freezes my computer and it says tat FEAR.exe stopped working. I desperately want to play this game cuz itsjust so damn good. and scary :P

i didn't tried gma booster. i don't know if it is useful tool. after installing gma is using a lot more power and it's getting hot quickly i don't think it's good idea to install it.

in a week i'm going to post some new gamplay moviez: Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Total Overdose and maybe something more.

hey homie you're cheatin. I tried this game on my aspire one and no way, it runs but very low fps, even with minimum quality and 320x240 and GMAbooster on. never seen 30fps, even hard to see 15fps. btw I have win7 installed, but don't think its the cause.

try not to set quality by yourself. let the F.E.A.R. make test and set all the settings autamaticly. when i set all at low it didn't run as well as with auto settings. If the game will run slow this must be windows7 fault. it needs a lot of HDD free space, a lot of RAM memmory and so on. I played FEAR on win XP.

hey, i tried fear on my sisters eeepc 1000h winXP and it runs well even with higher graphics! but her eee outcasts my fuckin acer in 3dmark2003 823 against my 620 because of eee's overclock :(

Anyway, GMAbooster sets your 166mhz graphics to 400mhz. little difference on acer. acer sucks

swimply - on another pc/laptop with dvd drive i make a image of the FEAR DVD and put it on AAO with usb pen drive. then open that image with Dameon Tools.

Or you could set up the other computer's optical drive for use as a network drive and access it via your local area network. It should work in most cases. I found that all but a few of my older games were installable this way. ;)

Ummm... i think is almost imposible to play F.E.A.R. in DirectX 9 mode with Intel 950 integrated graphics maybe you can play in DX8 mode and everything low.

its very possible. you turn everything on maximum except shadows and textures on medium and it runs at a decent frame rate.

you can hear his mouse click when firing and in the top corner there is a fps counter, and that one does not show up unless in a game and isn't recorded when frapsing either. Besides there are other vids also showing a Aspire one handling FEAR fine.

are you playing with the comp plugged in? because if you are it tends to get hotter than norm...i would also suggest sitting near a fan or a AC, plus playing the game before you used it for along time....one other thing, try not to play for more than 1hr if it gets that hot, just a precaution (i never had any probs wit mine)

well it can,taking the fact that it's not an emulator rather then a compatibility layer,there's no real performance loss.....so things run just as in windows.....I think FEAR works too.....altough more modern games require some special tweaking and stuff(bastards at MS have windows closed source so they reversed-engineered everything)....anyway for games we have CEDEGA,it's some "special" version of wine aimed only at gaming

but when you are in open locations with a lot of enemies it gets a little laggy, but only a little. Intel Atom is a very efficient procesor and Intel GMA isn't so bad as you can imagine ;)

-you can buy an external dvd drive and connet it with USB - SATA adapter

-make a cd image on the other computer and use USB PenDrive and make a virtual disc with Deamon tools

-you can dowload games from internet directly to your AA1
