  • HAHAHA I LOVE YOU YG!

  • which one is YG???

  • @DJNikksterz the one with white t-shirt xD

  • YG is the most graceful..=)

  • Nothing beats the classics.

  • i see where kpop is from now ;) they were/are so good ! lol YG lol xP bless you guys xxxx

  • I look for this video because of RunningMan Kang Gary :))

  • YG !!

  • i can see how people in hindsight would think of them as a boy band, but that's far from the truth. He is solely responsible for bringing contemporary pop culture to Korea, arguably Asia. Taiji was a metal head before this. They were the first band to get songs banned from Korea, they spawned every "modern" music movement in Korea. Legends forever.

  • im so glad i was a part of history, i still remeber clearly how much of an impact this track had!! it was blasting loud everywhere in flushing queens! i was a young'n 13-14 yrs of age

  • YG is tall as fuck

  • i wish i can spin like that

  • if only i was born late 70s or early 80s then i could have been a teen and enjoy this type of music! The best of the best came in the 90s! xD

  • hehe this is quite good!

  • no matter what country, some of the best music came out in the 90s

  • @ebonhawk

I agree. happens the same in my country

  • @666airhead noooo, i think they met in 1997 when taiji went to the states...? :)

  • Oh snap YG hit that dougie! xDD

  • Old skuu KPOP I love it!

  • Hayoga is Dance music , influenced Heavy-Metal !!

  • These guys are fucking amazing.

  • LOL!!! YG hitting that dougie at 0:44 XD

  • awesone, seo taiji is awesone, your music is music unique and remember my first days in the pump it up, so

  • YG was awesome !!

  • pop? but no Mediocrity this is cross over genre guitar riff + djing + rap + korea Traditional Music + heavy metal of 1993 year...

  • The left guy is YG. He is the president of YG entertainment who made Bigbang, 2NE1, Seven. and The center guy is the father of Kpop. He upgraded the level of Kpop.

  • @mma1004 The true Father was a DJ duo Called Boom Boom who were special guest to a female singer called Nami. They were the first ones to introduce rapping in Korean. The leader of the duo or "Big Brother" later made a duo with Miae hence the group Chulri and Miae. (Chulri mentored Seo Teji) While Boom Boom did the club circuit, Hyun Jin Young came out with Sad Mannequin combining rap with signing (Bobby Brown) After that Seo Teji came out with Nan Arayo and that's when all hell broke loose!

  • hahah this is awesome!!! even though it's kind funny I like their dancing!

  • Man... Yes it does bring back memories. I lived in Seoul from 90 to 95 and I remember when they would come to Itaewon to watch our dance moves. I used to hang out with Hyun Jin Young and the competition was feirce between him and Seo Teiji. I danced on KBS with Hyun Jin Young on several occasions and performed the dialogue with Seo Teiji on their English version of Nan Arayo. We did the Hayoga music video in the Night Club where it all started for them... The Moonlight..

  • @ddbreakdancer

    Wow, that's really awesome!

  • @ddbreakdancer Wow that's just awesome! Were you actually in the music video?

  • @toy502 Yup... You can find the vid in my favorites. I'm the one in the very beginning talking about how they can't dance. This part of the video was taped inside a popular club in Iteawon called MoonNight where all the up and coming Korean Hip Hop entertainers and dancers would hangout at (mostly to get the latest dance moves from the U.S. Soldiers)

  • @ddbreakdancer OMG have you any idea how famous is the music video especially the first scene to Korean in my generation!? I'm sure you'll be recognized by ppl on the street when you visit Korea once more haha. I remember Chulri and Miae and those days Seo Taiji and Hyun Jinyoung (also Deux) ruled whole Korean pop market. god you know all the behind story of birth of Korean pop music! & Did you mean you wrote the lyrics for Nan Arayo English ver.? amazing!

  • @toy502 Wow... I didn't know about the popularity of the video, but I am looking forward to going back. I was also in the Churlri & Miae video as well (in my favorites) Believe it or not Seo Teji wrote the lyrics but I helped him in the intro "Yo Teji!..." My artist name was RICO back then. I also had the opportunity to work with Lee, Sun Chul I was his dancer for his 1991 Irony Tour. I'm honored to say that I took a major role in Korean Hip Hop. I spent the best years of my life over there.

  • @ddbreakdancer

On the orginial album of Hyun Jin Young's 1st album - the rap was wrote and sang by the same U.S Soldier that helped get him started with his dancing (the Bobby Brown stage) - Damon

  • @damonwilliams99

But the Moonlight club was the SHIT - "Cat" the DJ and the powder on the floor to come up with these crazy moves without hitting the floor!!!

  • @ddbreakdancer sorry i just found i misread your comment about english dialogue in Nan Arayo. You actually performed the song. it's even more fantstic hah!

  • In my opinion if people don't know Seo Taiji and are K-Pop fanatics they really can't be fanatics if they don't know where it all began >__> But haha that's just my opinion. I love all types of K-Pop groups but When I saw this where it all began I fell in love with it! I love Seo's Old stuff and new stuff. I think he's just amazing @_@"

  • temaso ctm!!

  • this is where it all started :)

  • they really love to spin a lot lol its like...they're walking through a door! XD

  • i can't believe this music was made in first half of 90's.

    taiji is pioneer.

  • Comment removed

  • wtf guys are you all crazy this a horrible song and the dont have no voice

  • i really really like this song :D

  • YG also composes songs for Big Bang and others. he did sinner for Taeyang and Wrong Number for Big Bang plus others but those I just know from the top of my head. He also DJs and does remixes of a lot of his artist songs. While Seo Taiji was the genius of the group I don't think its fair to say YG didn't contribute.

  • @Cherrypi393 Wrong number is DBSK, Number 1 is Bigbang

  • @ParkNCmale Big Bang also has a song called Wrong Number, they even did an english version called So Beautiful. It's a good song, you should look it up.

  • I just love YG ... but, Seo Taiji is genius ... but I just love YG !!!

  • this is so great i wish they would dance for their later songs lol

  • awesome..

  • cuantos años tenian en ese entonces...????

  • lollol

is that yg falling on both of his hands at 2:17

i know he's turning towards the floor but if u look at lee junoh he's much more poised lol

  • @canuckslou0101

and yg did more faster spins than lee junoh.

    couldn't compare that :p

thanks mucho for uploading this video. nostalgicblue!

  • the very beggining of kpop :)

  • @guguigugu haha, funny. Actually KPoP started in the 50s, it was recorded and dated back only in the 80s, and yes Seo Taiji is the first group to change pop and hip hop in Korea. YG knows real music.

  • to think seotaiji used to dance.

  • play back

  • yes he was

  • so YG was rapper b4 2......

  • wasn't, he was there just to make number in the group, he couldn't rap nor dance, everything he did was copy style and dance of Lee Juno.

  • That is not true. YG did significant contribution to the group. The lyrics for "Night is going deeper" from the first album, and "Trying to erase you" from the third album was written by YG. Also, he composed and wrote song "Gasoline" in Jinusean's first album.

  • @boylondonjuno I know you made this comment a year ago but YG was highly looked upon and respected among the younger dancers who were embracing Hip Hop dancing. Lee Juno was a breakdancer period. But YG was a faster learner and picked up the moves better from us soldiers. I remember teaching them moves before they even became signers...

  • Which one is YG

  • YG is wearing a black hat and a white shirt. He sings solo at 0:41

  • It would be great if anyone upload high resolution of this.

  • lol yg's outfit could easily fit in "nowadays" .. the guy is awesome!!!this guys are effin!!!

  • Hayuga ftw 8D

  • I love when they do that spin thing after they bow to the audience!!!!!! I love SEO TAIJI!

  • Such a great song...He is a legend of Korean music history.

  • haha, I love them, but the dance is just too funny compared to now.

  • remember, it is those dance which made nowaday's korean idol dance possible.

  • Man I feel old, I remmeber when they performed this back in the day. Bought their second album on cassette tape and listened to it over and over and over and over until it burnt out lol

  • OMG! I remember when I was 17 and I discovered his music in a old Pump it Up version in Colombia! I inmediatly love it! and spent hours play all his songs~

Even I'm not Korean, I feel he is part of my teen days! I love Taiji~~

  • Legendary

  • History Moment!

  • I miss good music like this

  • q grande los taijiboys! =D

  • does anybody know the name of the song

which big bang was singing on the truck

and was going around the city???

  • you mean "Pilseung (필승)" in korean or "Sure Win" in english. The song by seo taiji.

  • I have to say, their music is much better than any Korean music I've ever heard nowadays, except from drama soundtracks.

I want them to come back again and go international, I would be one of the many who support them.

  • hahaha i only watch this because seo taiji is on it xD, cool and addicying song anyway, Seo taiji is a genius.

yea eeh yea eeh yea eeeeeeeeh

  • timeless.. so missing taiji boys..

  • look at the dancing!!! it rocks the stage, wow i cant believe the shit was back in the mid of the 1990 !!

  • still awesome. historic.

  • WTF. I woke up with this song in my head. So glad I found it here! Such a badass song.

  • their dancing is so awesome!!

  • omg this is the best song

  • Old school. Good that this shows a bit about his earlier days on stage.

  • are seotaiji and boys the first pop group in korea?

  • yes

  • Man they are really having fun onstage. Now a days during these perf they are seriouse. =(

  • Did you enjoy that

  • more than 15 years old and still better than most modern music. timeless indeed.

  • Wow... This never gets old

  • OMFG where to start! he is so incredibly awesome...

all his songs sort of dont have a traditional structure, and thats whats good abt it.. u dont kno where its gona go!

but i never ever ever get sick of listenin to these old songs, they are just so fresh and new. and the dances are so cool!!!!!!!!

  • you can't make those dance on PIU. D:

  • love their way to dance, they rock!

    nowadays no one like them

  • Favourite seotaiji song ever.

  • back in the days when seo taiji was nerdy.

  • but in a cool way lol only Seo TaiJi can be a cool nerd

  • I think that he is a korean founder who developed rock-based on hip-hop music in the world. some people said Linkin park did, lol

  • i think you're forgetting the Run DMC/Aerosmith collaboration of "Walk This Way" back in '86...but there is no doubt that STJ built on this concept!! he's a genius!

but its so old school and catchy.

  • omy god this awesome!! so old school!!

  • Still good to listen to. Brings back memories!!

  • omg so old skool:D

    awesome x]

  • r they lipsynching?

  • hahahaha at that time lipsynching is common. beacause they are dancing.

  • lipsynching is still common in Korea

  • Yes, all pop musicians MUST BE lipsynching because it is IMPOSSIBLE to sing AND dance.

  • its possible, look at poppin hyun joon aka nam hyun joon when he sings "don't stop" or "sajahoo"

  • Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, yah yah yah yah yah. This is when Seo Taiji kicked ass.

  • The songs so old yet still so~ cool!

and the dance is really cute!

  • some of the things he say are so fast.

  • probably make music.. ^^;;

  • OMG, YG IS SO CUTE~~~~~ <3333

  • so eclectic and erratic for a boyband song

  • they arent really a boyband lol i guess u can look at it that way tho

  • hahaha i love 서태지's huge glasses.. ^^

  • can we say harry potter!

  • oh man..this is a classic..i still remember e words now!!! this song rocks!!

  • lot of memories from back in the day... not too good to dwell but nice when you're drunk!

  • no need to bring super junior into it....

anyway,, wow these guys were really great, but wat a waste of talent? what happened? didnt he have a huge comeback.. did it fail??? where is he???

  • no thats YG = yang hyun suk.. hes not seo taiji...

YG is one of the "boys" in "seotaji and boys"..

u sound like a big bang fan, didnt u watch the BB documentary...?

  • Original is always the best

  • i was gonna say doesnt anyone think seo taiji back then looks like leeteuk now?!?

or maybe taiji just REMINDS me of leeteuk.

but then i realised, maybe the reason i tie them together like this is cuz leeteuk performed taiji's songs a few times!!!!!!! heheh i love teuki and taiji

  • yeah they do, but only cuz in kiss the radio leeteuk imitated him, and he sang this song 4 that 1000 song challenge thing, like u said. love them both!! do u know where i can get seo taiji's songs "to you", and this one?? tnx!^_^ love leeteuk!

  • hehe lol yea!! me toooo teukie's so cute

umm this song and "to you" are both on seo taiji's 2nd album.. so if u go to a decent korean music store, they should have it... but... u live overseas dont you?
