  • Am i able to do this on an already softmodded wii?

  • What if you get a Nintendo Wii from a Happy meal :) Im thinking of the triling screws they put on all toys :P

  • For all those considering this....Don't!

The Wii is incredibly easy to softmod, All you need is an SD card.

Go to google and type in a few keywords and you should be able to figure out all you need to know. those google terms are:

    Homebrew Channel

    Letterbomb

    CFG Loader

Read the guides carfeully. Download all the files you need before you start.

    Enjoy your Modded Wii

You will get more features. You won't have to open your Wii up at all. Its free

  • @indyleftist Why not do both? Now my Wii can do everything yours can do PLUS play an extensive library of GameCube games loaded off my external hard drive.

I understand what your saying and if there is confusion it should be cleared up, but the WODE does have a completely unique function that cannot be achieved through soft modding and never will be able to be due to the Wii's hardware.

  • can i still play Wi-Fi on original games? Or will i be banned form Wi-Fi?

  • @EviLlDrago You will not be banned. Nintendo bans on a game to game basis and most of them don't even bother to do that much. The only game I've ever heard anyone being banned from is Mario Kart Wii and that's only if you use certain game altering cheats. SSBB, for example, won't ban you even if you enable codes that make you start as GigaBowser and then proceed to invincibly stick it to everyone.

Any game loaded from USB can be played online with no complications.

  • Can someone explain the point of this product?

Most of the features can be achieved with free softmoding. The only thing this appears to do that Wiibrew/USBloader cannot is play Gamecube games... but for the cost you could buy a pretty decent Gamecube library or just, you know, play Wii games (which 9/10 are as good or better) and save your money.

  • @donfolstar Hey but is too hard to do it ? Thanks

  • @donfolstar

You can get gamecube backups to works as well

But only from disc, not USB. And not if you have the newest drive (Black Wii's)

  • @donfolstar Really? Most Wii games are better than Gamecube games? Really?

If that's how you feel then this product would be a waste for you, you're right. I, on the other hand, loved a lot of GCN games and was severely disappointed with almost every Wii title that wasn't part of a flagship franchise.

The point of this product is to USB load Gamecube games.

  • @toddtj

"Really" really is an asshole way to start a sentence. For the most part Wii games are as good or better, yes. Notice the qualifiers you completely ignored the first time.

That is a really neat point of this product. It is too bad that for the same amount of money or less you can buy tons of gamecube games to use in your wii or, ya know, just buy a gamecube. Heyo, the computer you are at can totally emulate gamecube for free! Controller USB adapters cost a lot less too.

  • @donfolstar You're right, I was rude. I apologize.

Back to the value of the WODE, though: you're right that you could buy the GCN disks for cheaper but if money is really the issue you can burn your own copies and play them through softmodding. The point of the WODE (at least for me) is convenience--I can carry around a single hard drive instead of a case full of disks and now that my Wii has stopped reading disks (a common problem) I don't have to care.

Having a GCN flow is pretty neat, too.

  • Could someone please tell me if the Wode Jukebox will work with a Wii that has a 4.3 firmware update on it. Thanks!!

  • @ArmyDeUno it works on all there is nothing making it break with the wii

  • Good guide, but i ruined 80% of my screws, impossible to open the wii. :( What to do?

  • is this better than driveKey Solderless Wii Mod Chip

  • Hy i have the wii wode installed and updated .. but the wii shows me theres no iso´s available ????

i have 4 iso games on my external sony ntfs hard disc.

    what can i do ...??

    please help

    thanks a lot regards marco

    blackfire@chello.at

  • In order that your ISO is recognized correctly, they will need to be fixed in a folder with the name “ISO” in the root of your hard drive (“x:\ISO\nomefile.iso”).

    Have you done that?

  • @modsupplier

hy musst i made for all games a iso folder or 1 game 1 iso folder ?

i can ripp the mario bros original game on the hdd it works but if i give my downloadet games in this folder it wont work

    thx for your answer

    regards marco

  • Fuck the inside of the wii has a little bit!

  • im ordering it now and probably be coming tomorrow, so what happens next when i want to take my wii like travelling to some other country, is there some kind of plug in and out or i just need to open the wii again. the wire from wii to wode is kinda look fragile. @_@.

  • @babes0098

I am not to sure what you mean, the Wode is powered by the USB ports in the Wii, so it does not matter where you are, the power for the Wii console you may need to get a plug converter to match which ever country you are in, but the Wode you wont need to touch.

  • @modsupplier i mean the wire cable wire underneath it. or should i just pack it up along with the wode. T_T.

  • I WANT TO KNOW is there is any modchip make me can play games from all regions on 4.2 firmware this is my questions

  • You can using Gecko OS, you install the basic form of homebrew channel which allows you to launch apps from an SD card, then install Gecko OS onto the SD card and launch the app, from in Gecko OS you can launch out of region titles.

  • @modsupplier hey i have a question is this the thing in which people use wode flow for gamecube games iso stuff

  • @modsupplier do you sell the ribbon cable at 8:43?

  • I follow this video and my wode work perfect.

    running on

    wode firmware : V1.27

    Wii : 4.2 U

  • Good to hear. :)

  • I am currently softmodded. Can I do a normal update, and use the wode instead? Can the wode ever be patched with a updated Nintendo firmware release?

  • If you remove the softmod you can use the Wode yes. Firmware updates to the Wii should not effect the wode because of the way it works.

  • The WODE will still work if you have 4.2 Firmware on you Wii, right?

    Are there any restrictions?

  • Yes the Wode will still work on a 4.2 Wii, but you wont have the all region function. You can get around this by using Gecko OS, they talk about it on the Wode forums

  • Wii Wode Jukebox only work on a uk firmaware?

  • @NetoAllStars

No, it works on all Wii firmwares

  • but can they tell its been opened?

    nice vid btw,

  • @ichi2k

Thanks for the nice comment on the video. :)

I would say they could tell it's been opened yeah.

  • yes the can ;). You will leave tracks somewhere that youve opened it ;) Even if they just see tiny scatches under the stickeys!

  • I like this video:), just tell me does ur warranty go away if u open the consol?

    Thx an advance!

  • Yeah if you open your console it does void the warranty.
