I love this song. LA has great music. Their harmony is right on! This one is a good song for crying. But, when you need someone you love deeply, knowing you will not have them to hold ever again, you really wouldn't "rather hurt than feel nothing" I think. I guess it's a matter of opinion. For me I wish the pain would grow numb. For now I will let the tears flow and know that I am not the first nor the last to lose the true love of my life.

Very moving performance. The eight notes (sometimes 4 notes) of piano is hauntingly effective. Fine vocals, excellent instrumentation. And Hillary was rejected twice by the numbskulls at American idol. Now that's the Red Badge of Courage! These guys rock!

I think Charles sounded fine, it was Hilary that didn't sound so great there in the beginning. I don't think ABC is to blame for anything. Lady A has rocked it in other award shows and appearances, but this just wasn't one of them.

I am an enormous fan of Lady A and thought this was a beautiful performance BUT just wondering if anyone else feels that they sound a little 'off' here? I've heard them live and they are usually AMAZING but they sound like maybe they're rushing their lines a little bit? i'd agree with that too. its the way that they do sound for tv, it doesnt allow for a lot of bass level sounds, so it sounds really weak, especially for charles. i'm many of us watching this have seen them live recently, so we know that ABC is to blame for the crap sound.
